Good location. Very close to the beach, bars and restaurants. Staff are really really friendly.
The four bed mixed dorm was small. Not much room at all for your belongings or to sort your backpack out. Okay for one night though.
Upon arrival I found that I had been separated from my friends due to lack of space. Since it was the managers error they booked us into a room next door and paid the remaining fees for one night. We then moved back to Baan Smile. The owner/manager are lovely. They helped me book a return ticket from Thailand and sorted out a coach. Everything is efficient and it was great staying there. Definitely recommend it.
Wifi wasn't great in one of the rooms, and no hot shower downstairs. But the upstairs showers was by far one of the best I've used in Thailand. All occupants have access to both so it isn't much of a big deal.
The staff is really great and they go out of their way to help you. We rented a motorbike with them and my friend fell, but they were really nice about it. He only had to pay a little bit in damages which was great because I've heard of some rental shops that try to rip you off in case of damages. Good location, 10 minute walk from the centre of Chaweng. Because it's a bit away it's in a more quiet neighbourhood so you don't get any noise. The rooms are big and clean, and they clean them every day for you. The bathroom had an actual bath!
The location, beach wise was not so good. It is indeed a 5-minute walk from Chaweng beach, but this part of the beach is not good for swimming: there are rocks and plants and the water is really shallow. To get to the main part of Chaweng is a 15 minute walk, which was a bit of a pity.
Good acomodation which a great location
The man of the staff tried to sell me a expensive taxi in a store near there, just because they were friends
Lovely hotel. Located not too far from the center in a quieter area. My room was very spacious and cleaned every day. The staff is just so pleasant, helpful and kind. I strongly advise!
Staff was nice, bathroom clean. Good for a one night stop
Fantastic staff. Wifi great throughout. Tourist office services. Air conditioning in room.
Toilets did smell a little bit.
Jiggy is a sweet lady, speaks good English and will really help you in finding what you want to do on the island. Only a minute walk from the beach and ten minutes from shopping/bars and more restaurants. Right next to a 7/11. The hostel has a water dispenser, which is nice.
First night there was an electrical outage, apparently because many establishments along that strip are using the AC. The bathrooms are a little dingy, but alright. There are little bugs crawling around on the walls.
