Baan Suan Guest House  

Was greeted on arrival & told that the bungalow was open & that the air con was switched on, I could check-in once I was settled. This was the start of a very relaxed approach to life at the guesthouse. The bungalows are in a tranquil setting although its just minutes away from the sights & sounds of Ayutthaya. Each has 2 wooden bench seats out front for evening chats or reading. Inside is basic but comfortable: a bench, bed, tv, air con unit & ceiling fan. a sliding door leads to a private bathroom with shower. The office is open early until about midnight and all sorts of info can be sought there. The guesthouse offers bicycle & moped hire on site, taxi & Tuk Tuk service is but a phone call away. There is a tiny eatery on the street front of the property where some great food is speedily cooked & served. For the more adventurous, one of the many night markets is 2 blocks away. There is a maid service should you want your bungalow cleaned, which can be declined if you don't.

No refrigerator. Use of the one in the office is available but there will not be any access once it is closed.

Not so many good things about this place. Just the rooms... They where not big but clean and nice. The public bathroom was also clean but very warm! I you tooked a shower you where sweating again after 5min. The location is a plus. But there are a lot of other guesthouses in the neighborhood with a better service!

The owner was very unfriendly! He hates his job and is not interested in anything! He refused a laundry service, he made the breakfast without pleasure. Everything we asked was to much. A lot of bugs! And you have to search the hole time after someone to ask for information!

Very good advices from the owners. Perfect location for Ayutthaya signtseeing. Bike rent right at the hotel. Restorant at the hotel. Thai massage next door. Friendly and relaxing atmosphere.

The quiet street in which it is located, closeness of two reasonable restaurants...and of course a few minutes from some stunning ancient remains.

Possibly the shared bathroom facilities...but you just get on with it.

The husband wife team of staff were very friendly and knows English. He more than accommodated me when I needed to hold my luggage for the night train and I even got a shower right before the train. He bikes and grounds are beautiful and in good condition and you can't beat the location, close to the ruins, good food, and on a quiet street. It helps that he has a massage place me t door and knows all of the therapists, so I got a therapeutic sports massage for a really great price and withing 10 minutes of asking for availability. I stayed 3 days and could have stayed more, it's like a home!!!

Thin walls, but not a big deal during the day, as it's so quiet and if you're out in the evening and come home after 10, it's dead quiet.

Everything! The rooms are very clean and spacious. The shared bathroom and toilets are also very clean. The location is excellent - close to temples and night market. The owner is very friendly and professional. We had a great stay!

The street dogs - But there are just barking. Just pass them with a bigger distance. :)

Nothing (For the money I paid)

The location is perfect. The GH rent bikes (50B per day that is a little bit more expensive than other places) and is a good option as you can have them for 24 hours, the visit to the night market is a must. The place is really beautiful and is amazing a garden like this in the middle of a city that, well, is a little bit dirty and full of street-dogs.

The bungalows are more beautiful than confortable, as the mattress was a disaster.

Nice clean bungalow in great location

Good location out of the main smelly part of town and near the main attractions Staff were friendly enough, bike rental was good and cheap (50b per day) We never tried the food here. Turn right outside and head to the corner, there's a lovely cheap thai restaurant above a guesthouse.

Aircon wasn't very good. Minor really but in this heat did take a while to get going.

Everything was clean, even if a bit run down. Price was extremely reasonable.

Proprietor actually yelled at me when I fell down half a flight of stairs, because (1) the wifi password which I was coming down to ask for is posted (on a minuscule note) in the room, and (2) the slippers provided by the hostel (bc we are not allowed to wear even our own indoor slippers in the hostel) are only supposed to be worn upstairs as posted by another sign (sign actually just says to wear provided slippers, nothing about wearing them down the stairs). The slippers had absolutely no traction. He did not even ask if I was alright.

The bungalow was good, good wifi and the value for money was good too.

Dont take breakfast there and dont buy tickets for bus there neither, you will pay twice than normal price :((((( Itr s not a service

The bungalows were very cool looking. The ac bungalow we had worked very well. Good place for the money.

The staff was very rude. The guy who owns the place will give you a map as you check in, but will do his best to not speak to you the rest of your stay.

Good location next to the bus station and to the historical sites.

The computer available for renting was extremely slow. The restaurant in front of the guesthouse was a bit messy and dirty, the food was not bad but I definetely didn't have the impression it was prepared in a very hygienic manner. Maybe it's good idea if runners of both places can do smth. For the better overall condition of the restaurant in the yard of the guesthouse.

Location is great very close to old temples. Cheaper rooms are in the house, this is where you share bathrooms and showers More expensive rooms are outside in the garden area, they looked lovely. Staff were always there to help! Can rent bikes to travel around in. The little restaurant at the end of the garden, so cheap and amazingly good food!!

At night Ayutthaya is patrolled by wild dogs, either carry a long stick or get ready to run!! Either way it all adds to the experience :)

My little daughter and I stayed in a aircon bungalow with a nice private terrace, and we absolutely enjoyed our stay. It's a very cozy place to stay. The owner is helpful as regards to sightseeing tips, and the guesthouse offers arrangements for boat trips where a tuk-tuk takes you to the pier and back. The guesthouse is located conviniently next to the historical park, the nearest temple ruins just two hundred meters away. The bus stop for Bangkok is closeby too. The guesthouse has free and well-functioning wifi. The breakfast is not included but is cheap. A cheap and cozy accommodation, I would recommend it to anyone one budget.

There are very few breakfast options, only toast with egg or with jam. The drain basket congested very easily, often I had to remove hair and soap more than once during a shower.

Room was clean and comfortable. Good location. Great value for money.

The staff is just weird. The don't even attempt to be nice. There is just no way to carry on a conversation with them and interact with them. Boring!

havre de paix dans la ville

nice little bungalow, close to some mail temples of Ayutthaya. It was possible to get a simple breakfast.

We stayed there for 5 nights. It´s a very good accomodation for a very good price, great location - near to the temples, friendly helpful staff, wifi free of charge, possibility to rent a bike, 7eleven nearby. Next to the guest house is a tiny restaurant with very tasty meals and friendly staff. We would stay again.

Great front garden, lovely little dog lives there..great upstairs balcony to sit in the evenings.

It was tidy but a little tired inside too. Take your own bath towel as we were not given one, the guy that appeared to run it was helpful but didn't crack a smile once.
