walls were a little thin so you could here every noise
staff was great, nice people, great value for money. Also awesome crazy cat in the premises!
It was perfect for a two-star guest house.
Very friendly staff, nice athmosphere of the house.
Noise, sound insulation between rooms above and next door room
Location away from the noise, but very close to the water boat stop, huge breakfast, Theo (the owner) was a lovely guy, helped with taxi in and out
This hotel is located near a lot of national government organisations, and only minutes' walking to one express boat station. As well, there are a lot of restaraunts and fruit stores nearby. The staff was really nice and good at cooking, and I would recommend this hotel to you all.
A little bit noisy because of nearest road. Probably in other rooms there is no such problem.
Very suitable rooms where you feel like in museum among the exhibits. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help. Tasty breakfast.
Our room was quite dark, but other rooms were lighter.
We stayed 2 nights. The guest house is really beautiful, with a lot of personality. It has a nice garden outside, very quiet and relaxing. Rooms are clean and very well maintained. Breakfast was basic but fresh and good, and cooked by the staff on demand (no buffet). The staff was amazing: they booked bus tickets for us, gave us advices on what to visit and how to get there, and, generally, always there when we needed. Location is good, although it's a bit far "from the action" of the area, as you need a tuk-tuk to get to khao san road and surroundings. Personally I preferred it, though I guess someone may be disappointed. However, it's walking distance from the pier where you can get the boat to Wat Arun, Wat Pho and Grand Palace. A bit pricey maybe, but absolutely worth it. Highly recommended.
Nothing at all.
I loved the whole concept of this hotel, and I would gladly stay here again if I am in Bangkok. The hotel is found in Dusit, south of the palace, in a small alley. It's an old antique house, functioning more or less as a B&B, and since it is a wooden house, they have a shoes off policy. They only have 8 rooms, so this is a small place, but the service is authentic and very pleasant. The staff was very helpful to the guests. They also allowed me to have breakfast early (normally it is served from 8 AM) so that I could have breakfast before heading to the airport for my flight back to Europe.
Nothing wrong with it at all.
The value for your money in Bangkok is unbeatable! The staff speaks perfect english and are very attentive to your needs. It is also great being a little but not too far away from all of Bangkoks main attractions.
Location not in tourist area which suited us well but involved using boats & tuktuks a bit more than some people may want. A hot city to walk far in!
We were made to feel very welcome here and the staff were friendly & helpful. Its a fascinating old building. Good air con. Room basic but spotless. Felt we were staying in traditional Thai establshment.
