I liked the ambience and staff attitude; traditional references in the building design and furnishings and the use of honest materials; the seclusion and quiet location.

Looks like authentic Thai residence with a beautiful wooden design and features. Would not describe it as a Hotel, but more like a guest house. Close to night life area (Bars) and only a short distance away from the Night Bazaar by Tuc Tuc. Location is difficult to find when traveling. Staff English were limited and difficult to understand. Shower water were not very warm. American breakfast option is also limited and bigger portions could be offered.

Very calming environment, beautifully designed, lots of plants and water features, even though very close to the old town. Food good, staff lovely and really helpful when we extended our stay - nothing was too much bother for them. We did two excellent trips - to Doi Suthep, and a full day to Doi Inthanon. Both excellent. No negatives, i'd go back

Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice swimming pool. Big bathroom Very few places at the swimming pool, just five or six beach beds which are always occupied. Weird air-con - each 15 min it started to blow extremely strong.

Very pretty place, location was excellent and bed was comfortable. Really didn't like not having a hot shower to stand under...not sure what the purpose of having a cold shower is. Also, didn't like not having a shower curtain or door. Also, so much light comes in the room very early in the morning, making sleep difficult.

Banthai Village is a beautiful oasis in the middle of a busy bustling city. It is conveniently situated for all the major sites, and the night market is only a few minutes walk. I loved my peaceful room. It was spacious and comfortable with everything one might need. The pool area was very pleasant and set in greenery with many orchids around. I found the reception staff most helpful and willing. I would definitely stay again if ever I am back in Chiang Mai.

Has been the second time to stay at this resort; a quiet and cozy place still very near to the center of town, the night market and other attractions. Nice and clean room with a huge balcony overlooking the garden and the pool; friendly staff and good food what else could one ask for. Parking is a problem.

We loved the atmosphere of the hotel and its traditional design. The staff were very friendly and always helpful. The bedroom was lovely and the king size bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was very nice too. We didn't like that there were only 6 comfortable chairs near the lovely swimming pool. There were not nearly enough for all the guests especially now they have extra rooms over the road. Everybody was trying to get one in the afternoons. The upright wooden chairs and tables were not at all comfortable
