Owner only subscribed to minimum TV channels - only 1 channel in English. Not clear to me which common areas of B&B I were for guests use (eg. kitchen, lounge area) Very expensive taxi for short trip to airport. Breakfast served only between 9 and 10am and restaurant closed early (6.30pm)

I had a wonderful time at the Banyan House. The room, breakfast and service was fantastic. Its nice and relaxed. Close to the beach and party areas yet having the comfort of a relaxed retreat. I would recommend this to anyone!

Quiet living room and outside environment.

Its location was very bad as I needed to take motor bike taxi to the Chaweng Beach Road for sightseeing and dining, and take it back to the House. Extra transportation costs were incurred every day, which I had not expected. Besides, I needed to cross the road to the Kamar Resort (just opposite the House) for reaching the beach, which was too rocky and unsafe for swimming. I could not find any leisure swimmers there (truth). For swimming and sunbathing, I went to the Chaweng Beach Road again for a nicer and cleaner beach with white sand. The atmosphere of vacation was really great there! I would not have chosen to stay at Banyan House if I had come to Koh Samui before. No B&B again! Furthermore, the atmosphere of staying at Banyan House was a bit serious (which was more or less similar to a typical English style and was restricted to some extents). I did not feel I was on holidays when at Banyan House. I would prefer staying at a hotel or a resort, which can be more Thai-oriented and hospitable and which can extend my happy moments longer. Breakfast was simple and little (fruits, slices of bread, butter and jam, coffee and fruit juice, but no meat like ham, no eggs). Overall, the price at 900Baht per night was over-rated in terms of facilities, atmosphere and hospitality, because I could find some other choices at lower prices along the Chaweng Beach Road.

La gentillesse du personnel et le dévouement,

Gastvrij, tips voor omgeving, betrouwbaar, service (brommer huur, taxi naar vliegveld. Prijs kwaliteit verhouding uitstekend.

Un B and B tranquille (trop ?), très belle maison, chambre très confortable, beau jardin. Propreté sans reproche. Parfaite disponibilité du propriétaire. Il suffit de traverser la route et l’hôtel en face pour se retrouver sur une petite plage tranquille, propice au snorkelling.

Cette maison ne pratique qu'une restauration sommaire. Pas de plat thaï. Et le quartier n'est pas à même de proposer une restauration traditionnelle. La solution consiste à se rendre dans les luxueux hôtels avoisinants pour se restaurer. Moins folklo et surtout beaucoup plus cher

Our room was quaint with partly shuttered windows, the house has a lovely airy feeling about it as plenty of doors & windows open all day. The continental breakfast was very fresh & sufficient. Both Michael &Tok the owners were most helpful. Bedrooms are of older style, but very clean & comfortable. Breakfast is served overlooking the garden which is very well maintained & has an abundance of unusual sounds of birds,reptiles & insects.. A very pleasant week spent at the Banyan guesthouse :-) :-) :-)
