The hotel was good and the crew are very easy to communicate with.
The beach are not for swimming.
Very friendly staff, had a great stay! You are not on the very center but its even better this way, you can rent a motorcycle and go around very quick, cheap and easy. The pool is small but its enough, you have beautiful beaches to enjoy anyways!! We didnt use the wifi, so we are not sure about how it works.
The hot shower wasn't working properly. Its not possible make phone calls from the room.
Going away from there!
The management applied the room highest fare arbitrarily and charged us double of the price directly on our credit card without approval (through booking). The place is noisy because under construction (the builders start working at 6am). There's no beach in front of the hotel. The rooms were dirty and they only made the beds at 6.30pm after several requests. The breakfast is poor
The hotel is totally overpriced. Definitely someone has been working a lot to make the photos look nice. Most of them show the restaurant and its area, which has little to do with the hotel. The bungalows are situated on a hill in a semi-desert surroundings. The rooms present a regular *** standard, nothing special apart from the fact that during my 3-day stay I was offline for 2 days. The hotel is far from any of the island's attractions, so you have to either use the expensive transportation or rent a moped. Walks to the centre are far from pleasant, since the road leads through an area that looks like the day after tsunami (and nobody around to clean it), and in the evening it looks even less nice. I think the hotel should seriously consider free transport to the centre a few times a day. On booking your card will be debited for sure before you arrive. It might be a consequence of cases in the past, when guests made up their minds when they saw what they get for the (high) price. Anyway, I have some travel experience and I have never seen such a bad price/quality ratio.
the staff are helpful.
Nice hotel staff. Lovely bar
It s overprice for moldy room. Ants crawling everywhere. Bathroom is very dirty. I can give thb2500 max for this kind of room. And thb4000 max for long holidays like new year or song kran festival. Stayed many hotels on samed. Worst hotel ever!!! Tiny pool. Far from sai kaew beach.(thb200 taxi if you wanna go there)
Friendly, helpful staff (but not always efficient). Pleasant location.
No hot water throughout our stay - despite mentioning the problem twice and being assured it would be fixed. Unreliable wifi which worked, at most, 20% of the the time. Very limited choice of drinks in the bar (which, for a place that at least partially markets itself as a bar), is very odd. Breakfast dire for a place that charges upwards of $130 a night.
The staff were very friendly. Not all of them spoke English but they usually had some one on duty who did speak English. The view is nice and architecture is great. The location is pretty good, not far at all from the beach, only like 10 minutes away by cab, motor bike or ATV. Its also a walkable distance but I think its too hot to walk.
The free breakfast sucks unless you love meat. It's definitely not a free breakfast for vegans, vegetarians or pescetarians. And its a "set" menu so you can't pick and choose, there are only 3 sets and you pick 1 of them. The location is decent except there is no beach, just rocks and water. If you like wildlife or are used to it, then this location will be no problem for you. But I from a big city and I don't like nature. If you stay in a garden view suite, there are lots of geckos and 1 got into our room. We had to call the front desk to help us get it out. Actually at this time the front desk wouldn't answer the phone, so my friend ran out to go get a hotel staff member. The water never gets hot, only room temperature. But I don't think thats a problem with the hotel, I think it's a problem with Thailand. I even saw other hotels on this island advertising "hot water" as if that were something special. But I guess if you're from a country like Thailand, then it is something special. The internet was pretty slow, but again, I think this is a general problem in Thailand not just with this hotel.
I like the staff and rooms. Good food and very friendly staff. Location is good for couple too relax and want too stay a quiet place (party on every friday and saturday) but not much noise from bar and restaurant in room.
The beach was bad and small, full of rock and i do not recommend too use the beach for svimming, a lot of animals with big "spikes" the staff say they not recommend too swim at beach because u can be sting by this animals.
Relaxing place. Nice concept.
Nice DJ and activities such as foam party, fire show, xtream equipments. ABF and roundtrip ferry included were great.
Dirty pool. Suck staff as they were lack of product & service knowledge and asked us to pick up food by ourselves when we ordered dinner via room service. Staff's children played in the pool and foam party mixing with guests. Staff's dogs walked around in restaurant area and drank water from the pool. No variety of breakfast no omlette no cornflake. Besides, they ignited firework in the middle of the night near guest rooms!! It was freakin loud!!
The overall of resort was quite nice.
The price is not reasonable compare to the room and resort facilities.
The feel and look of the place was very boutique style, high end design. The rooms were very comfortable and a good size. Attention had been given to detail.
The hotel is overstaffed by incompetent people. Breakfast was terrible, no fruit, the kitchen staff couldn't even cook eggs properly. We had a very mediocre lunch on arrival, again no fruit or fresh juices available. Wine is only sold by the bottle, unbelievable for a place called Bar and Bed.
The design of the rooms were simple but posh. Restaurant and bar was fabulous! A bit empty though, which was a shame.
The beach at the hotel was very small, and smelled of gasoline from the torches from the restaurant.
the staffs are very nice and helpfull.and I like the hotel located on the quiet side of the beach, I like the stake at their restaurant.
the beach is too small, and is full of rocks, the shawer water is too cold, even the hot water is not really hot.bed too small.
The view was beautiful and the room was very modern. Staff was polite and helpful, though many did not speak English enough to help with our questions.
The internet was not great, and the bathroom/shower set up was only so-so. We struggled to get hot water for the shower. Also, the beach/pool pictured was pretty small and not easy to utilize (especially at high-tide). The location was okay, but far from the beaches/restaurants on the island. Overall, for the cost, I was expecting more.
