Score from 1377 reviews Good
good breakfast, nice clean pool, clean rooms, conveniently located, not far from Sunday and night markets
room was a little dark, pool was chilly
- Very friendly and helpful staff - Good location in old city near Wat Lom Chang and fruit and vegetable market - It’s on quiet side street but still close to many things - Nice pool, albeit unheated - Almost all rooms have view of pool. 3rd floor rooms look over city and mountains - Massage, laundry, juice bar on the street with other things - Great balcony with comfortable chairs. Quiet. Good AC. - Good shower - Large room with two twin beds pushed together to form one huge bed - Has refrigerator, two bottles of water, kettle for instant coffee or tea - Took the hotel’s truck to Doi Suthep for 600 bhat. Driver was very friendly. Do this – well worth it compared to other options.
- Bathroom floors/walls need to be updated. - Cheap safe in room – easy to pick/jimmy open. They should upgrade. - Probably a bit overpriced compared to similar options nearby. - No elevator – but steps are wide - Wi-fi was marginal, perhaps because we were as far away from lobby as you can get - Pool does not get much sun – too cold for us to swim in late November (we tried)
everything is fine.there is a market near the hotel.
The staff can't do enough for you. They speak great English and are on hand to help with anything. Gorgeous infinity pool. Great food choices (lovely pad thai) and even offer takeaway breakfast.
The bathroom was a little dated but not a problem at all, and it perfectly suited the price.
Lovely staff, located close to food options and walking distance to the night bazaar. Rented a scooter and bicycles through them and it was super easy and very well priced. Spacious room with comfortable bed.
We really loved this place from the moment we arrived, the girl on reception was very friendly and our room on the 1st floor was comfortable and had everything we needed. We felt the food was reasonably priced and tasty. We hired bikes for a day which was great to explore the city. The pool is very welcome and good for doing lengths if desired or just for sitting by and chilling out. It is a peaceful location and very handy for all that Chiang Mai has to offer.
Рersonnel speaks pour English but not a problem, restaurant staff is a bit too much relaxed...No elevator...
Staff were super friendly. We hired bikes from them (really cheap) and rode around the whole city - it's located inside the old city walls so it's a really convenient location. Swimming pool outside our room was perfect, food was really good (room service even walked along the edge of the pool with our food and cocktails to deliver it to us by the pool!). Food and drink also good prices. This didn't have many reviews before I booked so I was unsure so ended up really pleasantly surprised.
The bathroom could do with a renovation but that's just being picky - the place was a great price for what you get and I'd stay here again.
probably my favorite 3 star hotel ever
to be very picky, as good as the pool is, it is surrounded by buildings of either side so those who wish to laze in the sun for the whole day will be disappointed since in the morning and late afternoon the pool is in the shade.
There were always plenty of staff, whether it be for dining, cleaning or just at the front desk. Many happy smiling staff. Great airport drop off and pick up. Location is somewhat noisy but bearable. Any meals we had were great but of course there are plenty of good cheap eating. places close by. We thought of staying out of the centre a bit because of prices, but if it's your first time to Chiang Mai stay around here. It even had flywire screens so you could leave your balcony doors open. Nice artwork in the rooms.
Nothing really. It is a narrow street with many other guest houses and backpacker type places so there is a bit of foot traffic late at night and into the morning with the noises contained within the buildings.
Facilities seem quite new, friendly staff and great location
not much dislike
The location is great, near the songpie market, and there are so many food to choose nearby. The swimming pool is beautiful and clean
Only 10 minutes' walk from the Phae Gate, Lila massage about 5 minutes, bars about 5 minutes! Good place to stay in Chiang Mai. Love the pool view room, open the door and just jump into the pool in the morning!
This is a comfortable , clean hotel in a great location , close to many restaurants , and has a lovely pool
I like everything about this place from the location to the staff. Everything exceeded my expectations. Thank you.
Very central. Rooms are tidy and quite clean. Nice basic pool area to relax and cool off in. Staff are very friendly and helpful, we told them activities we were interested in and they phoned up the companies and booked us for us. Close to airport (about a 20 minute drive, without traffic). Great value for money, would definitely recommend
The room was very clean. It was a good location for us. Very helpful staff.
The shower had some mold in it .
what a wonderful place to stay at chiang mai, the staff is great and super friendly, location is super, spacious, basic and clean rooms, amazing pool.. and last but not least, the restaurant has the best food i've had so far in chiang mai!! def coming back.
Staff are great and location is perfect. Also nice pool and amazing thai good from the resturant cooking love,
Great location clean room
No e-mail response We e-mailed in advance about transportation and early arrival but got nothing from the hotel. Reception staff We arrived early in the morning, 6am, and seemed like they didn't have our booking. The guy at receprion had printouts of today's bookings and no booking paper for us. It took 15min to figure out and he just said that we arrived too early and had to wait till check in time, which is 2pm. We decided to kill time and went out for breakfast and came back 8am. Other receptionist was there and suddenly she gave us a room. Most of the receptionists speak limited English. They don't have enough tourist info so they just repeat the same thing written in brochure. They charged whole stay rates on credit card without our authorization!! We stayed 3nights. On check out time, we wanted to pay by cash because we were leaving and didn't need any more but they said they already charged to our cc on arrival date and asked our signature for the receipt. We don't know how they charged our cc, we didn't give them our cc. They may use our cc info from booking.com.
we loved everything about BB Mantra , especially the most comfortable mattress, the location excellent and the restaurant on site fantastic .
Great hotel and excellent service. This place is a winner. Prime location (great coffee place next door), you can wash your laundry across the street, room was stylish and clean (every day new towels, linen), food was good: it was a joy to stay here :)
Can't think of anything
I like the swimming pool and all people are friendly. I will choose next time
I loved my stay at BB Mantra, the staff was nice and can book day trips at good price, the room was comfortable with a nice balcony. The swimming pool is great. The location is convenient to explore the old city, Chiang Mai is great!
Nice, clean rooms. Beautiful balcony overlooking the pool. Room was cosy even for a couple. Housekeeping was the best. They did an amazing job with the cleaning.
Noisy. You can hear guests early in the morning slamming doors. There's no sound insulation at all. This hotel caters to a lot of Chinese tourists, and they were always talking loudly in the hallways, instead of going inside their rooms. STAY AWAY from rooms facing the streets. Manager named NIM gave us such a hard time for trying to reserve a room near the pool. She was the rudest!
