Bifern Homestay

The location is nice, opposite a park full of ancient ruins. The entry and the lobby is the nicest I've seen in all Asia, really nice. The food they offer is tasty and in good price.

The bed was extremely hard, like a table, and the pillows were like huge rocks. We had to sleep with a sweater as a "pillow". You can't flush the toilet, you have to use a bucket to throw the water, and it's not too clean. The owner was working with a chainsaw or sth similar at 7,30 am!! Next to the room...

This was the second time I staied here, it's really a lovely place to stay in Ayutthaya, the Lady is very kind and helpful, the rooms are fair sized, the common area is amazing, they provide free coffee or tea any time yo want, bicycle and motor bike rental, really one of the best place I staied in Thailand for a very good money value

It was quite cheap and had a nice lounge area.

They didn't have any bikes for rent, hard to get around, the nearest bike rent is about 30 mins away by walk. the animals there were lovely and all but the cats at nighttime could be a nightmare. scared me and woke me up twice when the cats were screaming loudly outside my room.

This place was really nice. All the important monuments are within walking distance - if you are used to walking. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Coffee is for free for the guests and you also get a banana at your arrival. As the price of this place is not very high, the room was more comfortable than others in more expensive hotels in Thailand. The town is just amazing. Calm, not so noisy and smelly as Bangkok and very different from other towns and their monuments and wats.

It was hard for a tuk tuk driver to find a place and we even got into a fight with him as he wanted to drop us at totally other place. But that has nothing to do with the hotel. The prices at the local restaurant are too high. The noise in the night. It was probably one night festival but there was some local karaoke show and we could not sleep earlier than at 1 a.m. And that was the only night we spent at Ayutthaya. Dropping shoes and putting them on a few metres further every time you go through the restaurant out into the city. And you have to go through the restaurant every time you want to get out. The cats.

We liked everything. It was a small cosy place with a friendly homely atmosphere, friendly welcoming staff, clean comfortable rooms, decent food if you order (they cook themselves). It is 30 min walk to the historical centre, a bit tiring in the heat, but otherwise everything was excellent!

The owner family is very friendly. The location is quite convinent.

- It is located quite far away from the center and main tourist attractions - you'd need to take a tuk-tuk - you may expect something more for that price

It's in the corner of Ayuttayah , more than half hour of walking from the downtown of Ayuttayah . But it's really comfortable for living .

Little bit more mosquitos in the gardens. If there is fragrance around here it's the best .

Friendly people and good food.

I believe the most outstanding feature, among a long list of remarkable features, is the helpful and kind attitude of the staff. If we are ever back to Ayutthaya we will definitely try to stay at Baifern Homestay, and we strongly recommend it to everyone.

Location is little bit far from main town.But it near the old temple.

Very friendly and helpful staff. This hotel is run by a family and you realy can notice. When you arrive at the hotel the welcome is very warm. The rooms are clean. The food is also tasty

If I need to mention something, it would be the fact that we made a reservation for a double bed and we got a bungalow two seperate beds. There where no other rooms bungalows available. The shower is made for smaller people than we are and we're not really tall (1,77m). In our room it was located between the sink and the front of the toilet seat, with 40cm in between, so you're basically showering on top of the toilet.

Great staff... Very friendly. Also very good food at fair prices. The main "lobby" area is very comfortable and a great place to stay out of the heat.

When we showed up the bathroom floor had mud throughout it. But I just washed it out real quick as it is a wet room style bath. No big deal for how cheap the rooms are.

The guesthouse looks like a garden and the staff are helpful

The bed isn't quite comfortable but still, you get what you pay for so I understand and have no problem with this.

Good price, very basic simple accomodation for young people. Booking .com and Guesthouse has to inform that guesthouse is also a animals shelter for homeless cats, dogs, rabbits etc. People with allergy might have a problem to stay in common territory of the guest house.

Smel ls of cats in eating area and common area of guest house was not pleasant.

It was a nice place. It felt like sharing the family life. The mum cooked very good. All day cofee and tea where available. R

There were a lot of animals around the livingroom and the kitchen. Altough it was clean you could smell the animals.

this is very nice and friendly place to stay We have choosen the cheapest room without ac (300 th baht) but was very clean and spacious, they have also rooms with ac Staff is friendly - they love animals :-) there is a big garden in front of the house where you can sit and rest. This place is not so close to backpackers area - but for us location was great - take tuk-tuk to go there from the bus or train station We would recomend this homestay definetly

Very friendly staff, always keen to help. Large dining room/social area, but other comfy sitting areas if you wanted to read or chill on your own. I like the style, lots of dark wood, Thai cushions & carvings, plants etc. It's not glitz and glamour which you can get in any country. I would return, and recommend.

The impressive thing here is the hospitality. The owner , tukta is very kind and really cares about you and makes great Muesli!!Burny, her husband , is one of the friendliest, kindest and most helpful person I ever met in the hospitality industry!Always willing to give you informations and a nice talks. But also the other people are always nice, helpful and smiling!! I really liked the welcoming athmosfere in Ayutthaia and the temples! (Even if its always soo hot!) I would advice you to rent a bycicle(60 bht x24hour) or a motorbike (250 bht) if you wanna see all the temples!u can also have massage (300/600bht)in beifern!/ /In this area u can move with tuk tuk only and for nightilfe u should go where there is Tony's place! Enjoy ur time in Beifern Homestay and relax urself!

The bathroom is kind of "traditional" but because there was a flooding in 2011!!only advice you that the room of 300bht x night is really basic with the typical thai bed on the floor!

The family is very nice, you feel at home. Bifern homestay has a very positive atmosphere. The service is very attentive but never intrusive. There is always help for individual whishes or problems. The house is clean and has a very nice small tropical garden in front.The medium and luxury rooms are nice and the luxury rooms are tastefully furnished. The basic rooms are basic.The landlady is an excellent cook of wonderful Thai dishes. The location is quiet but not remote to the temples and other tourist places like market and restaurants. It is perfect for people who do not want to live in the loud and lively back-packer area of Ayutthaya. With a bycicle everything is in reach in short time.We have been very happy there and we will return any time we are back in Ayutthaya. A group of students and professors from Cologne/Germany working for 3 weeks in Ayutthaya
