the location was good but everything else was bad
I have never had a worse hotel experience. The staff was not helpful, the rooms were disgusting, and the pool was out of order during our stay (which was a reason we picked it). Furthermore, we found bedbugs in our room which was a NIGHTMARE and the staff was unapologetic and unaccommodating in helping us to get rid of the bugs. There are so many other affordable, nice hotels in the area so AVOID BURI HOUSE AT ALL COSTS.
The restroom was not very clean and the room was dusty
location was close to airport and the night market, staff was very helpful,ac worked, getting a taxi at the airport was easy
no windows, hard beds, hotel's airport shuttle was limited hours
Close to the City center. Clean and confortable.
The breakfast could be better.
Our second stay at Buri Gallery because we loved our first experience. It's a little piece of Paradise. The rooms are quaint and comfortable, and not sterile like some other hotels we've stayed. All the rooms were different, and we enjoyed B6. The breakfast was served in nice surroundings, and was very appetising. The staff were exceptionally helpful, especially Ao who welcomed everyone each morning at breakfast. She helped with travel arrangements. Really love this little place and we will return.
Our stay was not long enough!
very nice place, quite, i liked to stay in this small location more than in the usually big over crowed hotels
everything is good, except the bed should have been changed. You have to consistantly move yourself every hour otherwise you will be sweating as there was some plastic stuff instead of cotton on the mattress. this could be improved very easily
Our family from Dubai and Beijing, and ourselves from Australia, met at the Buri Gallery House for a reunion, and we could not have found a more suitable location. The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. The chef made us a tasty breakfast each day. Ao was a sweetheart, and was exceptional in helping us with travel arrangements etc. This is a peaceful, beautiful little traditional Lanna style hotel in a great location. We will be back
Breakfast - too small portion
Excellent advise, the staff was very sympathic and helpfull. The touriatic guide is very simly and speaks french. I recommand this hotel for the location, inside the old city, closed to every commodities and the price quality rate. This hotel is very charming and the pool is great.
Some Wifi cut, but it's à detail!
Nice room design.
Lack of variety for the breakfast menu.
The staff were great! Very friendly and helpful. They helped us book what we wanted to do and recommended a great spa. The hotel is in a great location.
Our room had no window and we requested a room with 2 beds as I was travelling with my brother. When we arrived they said they didn't have any left but would move us the next day, but it never happened.
The staff serving breakfast could have been a little bit more friendly.
The location was great, just across the road from the temple, next to 711, opposite laundry and loads of restaurants. The rooms were great, nothing too fancy but everything you need. They had a very cosy feel with brightly painted walls, quite mexican. We had a patio at the back of the room which was great. Air con worked well and we definitely needed it. We booked in for 1 night, stayed for 4. Definitely best value for money. The hotel organised our ziplining tour which was excellent, absolutely no fuss. "O' (I think that is her name), the manager was extremely gracious and very very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
The bar wasn't open in the afternoon, I wanted a Pina colada by the pool.
We enjoy the swimming pool. The staff Ms O is very helpful as well. If you just want to stay for one night to experience the wooden house, this is a great choice
We never lived in the hotel is draping when it is raining, we woke up by the raining sound, to find the water on floor. Toilet is extremely dirty because lack of the staff. The two men need to prepare the breakfast and clean. Bed sheet is dirty, horrible dirt under the bed. Can hear someone is talking next door, you can get into sleep.
Very clean and centrally located. "O" the manager was fantastic, she helped me book all types of adventures. Highly recommended.
Good location and nice decor.
Our room had no windows facing the outside of the building. The hotel was also noisey throughout the night.
Very good location
Air conditioning is not cold enough sound and relatively poor
Good location, staff were really friendly and helpful, including the tour operator, she was fab! Pool area and breakfast were both good too.
The pillows are hard lumps of foam and the most uncomfortable thing to sleep. Not much natural light in the rooms.
Mrs Oh, she is a very helpfull and knowing Tour Guide. You find her right hand at the Lobby behind many informations about and around Chiang Mai.
Location is good, exactly next to the temple and the night market street.
The photos do not really match the reality. We booked a villa, but the room was totally different than the photo. They apologized for the paint smell, as it was just renovated, but they forgot to actually clean after this. The bathroom was full of dust, I could write with my fingers on it and there is no window that opened. Because of this, the smell from the pipes was unbearable in the mornings. The bath tub looked like a century old, almost yellow and we barely dared to have a shower without the thought of getting any diseases. The staff does not clean in a certain time of day, so at one moment, around noon, we woke up with them in the room without knocking and ignoring the fact that we said, while we heard them opening the door, that we are still in the room. After that they never came back in that day to clean. Breakfast was very poor, but fair: eggs, toast, fruits and coffee. The walls are very thin, so you can hear clearly all your neighbors. I would name it more a hostel than a hotel snd will never book it again.
The hotel is overall a great place to stay in Chiang Mai. The location in the old city is central and close to everything. The hotel is nice and very rustic. The only negative is the sleeping situation. The matress is a bit firm but we are used to big american pillow tops so... I would recommend this for anyone with a little money to spend but dosn't want to spend the all out resort prices!
Firm uncomfortable bed. Needed a mosquito net.
Charming little guest house, super friendly and helpful staff. Would totally recommend it! The guest house is clean and has a nice pool area. Breakfast was good as well, you could choose the type of breakfast you wanted instead of a buffet, which is much better
On the first stay we had a room without window, on the second stay we got a much nicer room on one of the upper floors. Very thin walls, however both other guests and the surroundings were quite quiet, so this was no problem for us
Very pleasant stay in Buri. We spent there 3 days and my son enjoyed the small pool and breakfast a lot. So easy to shop nearby and although on the Sunday market street, it's quite peaceful inside.
the location is excellent, next to Wat Phra Singh, and in front of the Sunday Night Market. Small and nice hotel.
there is one day, the cleaner came to my room to clean but i was sleeping so i told them later. They missed to clean my room that day. wifi is not stable for second floor.
