the cheapest room is without window, so we need to pay more on the spot to upgrade
April 25, 2015
The rooms were dirty. There were dust bunnies. I honestly didn't even feel comfortable walking barefoot. The walls are too thin. We stayed at the least expensive room level for one night and were upgraded to the next level as a courtesy because we were really dissapointed with the first night.
The breakfast was simple but good

Oh (the magnificent tour desk lady and general source of great ideas) and all the staff. The pool was good, and although small, very nice. There were four options for breakfast (Cooked, continental, healthy and Thai) and the portions were good, with refills on the drinks. The Sunday night markets are literally outside your door and the Buri Spa was excellent value and great massages.

Management and staff friendly and very helpful, they clearly enjoy taking care of their guests, my wife thought the manageress wonderful in how she helped us plan our excursions.

Working and repairing outside our room. Noisy and dusty.
April 6, 2015
Small private one (climb through pation window)
Large shared balcony, breakfast cooked to order. Clock tower. Plenty of shops.

The room's "walls" were really thin and we could here everything.
Staff was really friendly and helpful, nice swimming pool, great food, nice room. Exactly in the street where the Sunday Market takes place on Sunday!

The room we booked "A Superior Double" turned out to be a windowless cupboard certainly as pictured but really claustrophobic and for us quite unacceptable. Fortunately we were able to upgrade to a larger room. Recommend booking at least the deluxe or villa rooms.
Miss O the tour advisor very caring helpful lady. She not only was great with bookings and sorting out problems with our room but also generally "fix it lady" not only for us but other guests. Excellent breakfast and sitting out area. Coffee and bakery shop under construction and improved swimming pool surrounds will be great when finished.

We could not use our rooms between 10am and 6pm as too noisy with drills and hammering. And the pool had a layer of dust on it and was really unpleasant to sit around due to noise and dirt. Always had to ask for a towel as had run out. No compensation for the disruption was offered other than another room to shower in when they turned the water off with no notice before we had our shower. Electricity was also cut off with no notice. No consideration was given for guest during this disruption.
Room was large, location is good for access to old city attractions. Breakfast was ok but had to send one back as covered in ants. Pool and cafe ( which was under our villa rooms ) were being renovated so very noisy and dusty. There are many better hotels in the old city. We will not go back to this one.

The room is beautiful but the bed a little hard for my taste. But everything was excellent overall.
Loved the people at the front desk. Everyone was very helpful, they even helped me book an elephant tour. Will recommend things for you to do and provide you with a map. I loved everything about this place.

The facilities are old, and the aircon wasn't work very well. I felt so hot every afternoon.
Location is so good. The guesthouse is very lovely with a lovely swimming pool. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Love the healthy breakfast.

The breakfast is not good enough

The rooms were very dark and there was a constant overpowering smell on anti mosquito burners.
Swimming pool, location

January 29, 2015
there‘re little old facilities in the room，room is not large
very close to Wat Phra Singh and sunday night market.it's full of local thai style in the whole guesthouse. the staff is helpful.

location room and comfortable bed value for money
January 12, 2015
Only real negatives were the wetroom shower which would not drain properly (in room B6). Security was a concern too as rooms were only bolted and padlocked and we were required to hand our keys to reception whenever leaving the hotel. Twice we returned to find no-one at the desk and our room key sitting on the desk which anyone could have easily picked up. Pool is a little too small for swimming lengths.
Buri Gallery is a small but cosy thai boutique-style hotel and our first stop in CNX. The owner Ms. O is very friendly and instantly makes you feel welcome. Located opposite Wat Phra Singh, next to 7-11 so perfect for sight seeing. Great, cheap massages at the Buri salon plus the Golden Triangle and Long Neck tribe full day tour with Mr Banana organised via O (Buri Tours) was so much fun. Sunday market happens on the road outside the hotel so try staying over the weekend!
January 10, 2015
A bit more expensive than other places we've seen, but you get a great room and location, so we were very happy.
Great location for exploring the city. Staff super helpful, especially when booking trips. Did a Thai cookery class with scenic Asia, couldn't recommend enough, a brilliant day.
January 8, 2015
Centre Oldtown but very quiet Relaxen at the Pool between. Many ways you can walk or for less money go by tok tok. Very friendly staff.
January 7, 2015
The walls of the hotel were very thin, so much that I could hear the movements of our next door neighbors. There were some restaurants and bars next door that were loud until 2am, which could be a blessing or a curse depending on your travel plans.
The hotel was very pretty and in a good location. If you want to visit the Wats, you have easy access to many of them. Chiang Mai is a small city and you can easily grab a TukTuk or Songthaew to wherever you need to go. The host, O, was very nice and made sure that our stay was great.
January 3, 2015
Beds could be more comfortable.
The location is right in the heart of old town near the temple. Very convenient for ones who loves to shop. Nice breakfast and relaxing atmosphere in the garden near the pool.
December 27, 2014
The rooms are dark and shower barely has warm water. The staff offers you various tours, be sure not to take the combined ones for elephant riding, and visit of hill tribe village (waste of time).
Location is right in the old city, the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast is ok but no real coffee!
