The place could do with a lick of paint.
Good value as budget hotel
bed not very comfortable
near Kimyong Market
- dirty - bath room smelly
Comfortable beds, cheap price.
You must pay for everthing, incuding WiFi
Cheaper good value to backpackges for travelling the staf is friendlly
Noise near the road soynd with car and motorbike
hard to complain too much about a room , but the place is priced about right. Uncomfortable bed, ants in the bathroom, and overall dingy feeling. The staff can't speak english and we need to use google translate when communication. I am so scared if I am alone in my room because the room look horrible. The bathroom was smelly, and that affected my sleep. My room was right on a street, so it was very noisy, all night long.
The receptionist can answer every questions that we asked. And is really helpful.
the guesthouse is just a walking distance to the shopping places. Also easy access to cheap and halal food for the muslim. Highly recommended the hotel to those who planned to stay overnight since the decor inside were not really satisfying.
The floor look dirty (even it's not) and the toilet was the same too.
1. Worth your money 2. Strategic location
+good location +bed +no bugs +staff +price
-it was good for staying one night but maybe not for long stay
Good location and good for value for a budget money.Wifi is good but not inside the room then must to pay it.Just good to stay for a good value if anybody looking a budget hotel.Staff very good and friendly to helping
The wifi not very strong inside the room...then must to pay it the bed not really comfortable sleeping like on the wood. Noisy area sound with public transport and sound with dog.
It was amazing because it very strategic, nearer to Hatyai town. The price was the cheapest among all hostel or hotel in Hatyai. Their worker especially Ms. Nui and Noi very kind and helpful.
The worker not so good in English. No TV in the room and we need to pay for the wifi.
As you enter the guesthouse there is a lot of seating spaces for customers and also there was a small cafe at reasonable prices unsure how the food was as we never are here.
Rooms were terrible the toilet had a very strong awful smell and the bed sheets were not clean and we was itching all night when we slept here! One night was enough here I wouldn't recommend.
I like how Cathay Guesthouse located very near to the Hatyai Train Station (walking distance). At the ground floor, there is a travel agency and they are very helpful too.
Easy to find bus to another city in Thailand. This guest house near ti city attractions ..just 5 minutes walk
Room not clean but still okey for budget trip
Nice to stayed
Good location, near a very cool and authentic thai market.
I booked a triple room because that was all that was shown as available on booking.com and since I was arriving late, I wanted to have my accommodation secured. Upon arrival, the man at reception asked if it was just me and if then asked if he could put me in a single so that he could give my triple to 3 people who had walked in without a booking. I was completely fine with that and even though he charged me more than the price for a single posted at the front desk, it was still less than I had planned to pay for the evening. I paid in full for my room before receiving my key. The room and especially the bathroom were extremely dirty and old, but the bed seemed clean and wasn't all that uncomfortable. When I was leaving in the morning to go to the market, the lady at the front desk asked what room I was in and then told me that I hadn't paid enough. She insisted that I needed to pay the price I agreed to online when I booked. I explained that I would have been happy to pay that price if I had actually stayed in the room I booked, but since I was downgraded to a smaller room and they were able to sell the triple, it didn't seem fair to make me pay that price. She said she understood-- that it was the fault of the man who checked me in and that he would have to pay the difference. This didn't seem fair and I felt bad for the man so I offered to pay 1/2 of the difference. She got visibly upset and said it wan't enough and handed me the money back. I'm guessing that she expected me to cave and just pay the full amount, but I didn't on principle. Overall, I'm sure I've stayed in worse places, but I honestly can't think of when.
Good location easy for get street food, near with market. In central hatyai.
Terrible room but u got what u pay, its ok for budget travelling
The room was cheap but even for just one night,it was not good at all. Bathroom was so primitive you can't call it a bathroom.
