It's location right on the Chaweng Beach strip makes it convenient to explore the town, go shopping or mingle with the crowds at bars, clubs and restaurants... The bathrooms were almost unacceptable - old, smelly and with a schizophrenic tap that would provide hot and cold water randomly...the room, while nice, was too cluttered and too much space was given over to decorative flourishes... |

Location is good, right on the main strip of Chaweng Beach, just up the street from Starbucks. The room was tiny, moldy, dirty, and loud. The view from the balcony was another balcony about 3 feet away. The curtains didn't adequately cover the windows so no sleeping in past dawn. I paid for the "deluxe" room, but they were overbooked so put my in a terrible part of the hotel, as geographically far from the beach as possible, and provided no discount. |

It has a great central location close to all shops, markets, restaurants and bars. The hotel was of very good standard, the breakfast excellent with lots of choice, the staff very friendly and helpful. The pools and gardens well maintained. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would return. |

The food was really fantastic and the resort is nicely designed. I have used the Spa only one time and that was also good and relaxing. The bar tenders at the beach bar were able to make really good cocktails. Normally I don't like the in-house entertainment, but that was unexpectedly good as well. Although I was aware (tripadvisor.com) upfront of the fireworks at the beach I can imagine that it is disturbing especially if you have small children. What I did not like in particular of the hotel are the hotel beds. The matresses are old fashioned and do not give as much comfort than any other hotel I have been. I thought matresses with steel coil springs were outdated. The extra bed at the window gives more comfort. Please change this and then I would like to come back. |

Hotel staff could'nt do enough to help, lovely room, great location, easy access to the beach but also very convenient for shopping and various restaurants, we visit Samui probably 6 times a year due to business interests there and will be staying at the Regent on our next visit. We had a late flight (9pm) on our day of departure and they could not let us know before that morning whether or not we would be allowed a late check out, nothing major but it would have been preferable if our minds would have been put at rest earlier. |
