This hotel is in a good location at the north end of the main street of samui. However you do not hear or feel like you are in the busy tourist strip of samui once you enter the resort. It is quiet and not directly under the flight path like ark bar. The gym is good and have free group classes throughout the day but when you go it is usually just you and the personal trainer!. Free scuba diving classes in the hotel pool. Breakfast was good. Beach is nice in front of the hotel but there are no waves as there are down south. Cooking school at the south end of chaweng is a must. Also go to the thai markets behind the boxing staduim and day trip to the national park island. Fish banquette at 3 hotels north of regent(one with the amazing architecture). However there was no information given about good restaurants, spas, things to do in samui. They just referred you to a tourist desk where they tried to sell you day trips at a much higher price then if you go 100 m outside the resort to a tourist info shop. No personal opinions were given.

Right in the middle of chaweng road. Can't get any central than this. Although you may think it would be a noisy hotel as its in a very happening area but the moment you pass the hotel entrance and move towards the rooms you enter a different zone altogether. Amazing greenery and beautiful rooms. Once you reach the back of the hotel where the pool is located and the beach is, it even gets better. Very clean beach, very quiet, people sun bathing, getting massage on the beach (not at Chaweng Regent Beach Resort but nearby). Wonderful resort. Love it. Can't think of any but If you want to stay away from the restaurants and bars and happenings of chaweng road then you can find many hotels a few kms down on the same road. However, you will need a bike or taxi to get to chaweng road where all the action is.

Staff outstanding. Very welcoming and unbelievably helpful. Beautiful grounds and location is perfect. If you want to swim in the sea this section of beach is no good. The water is too shallow due to a breakwater. You have to walk a fair way up the beach to find a suitable swimming section. However if you don't mind the pools the resort has 2 great ones.

Great location on the beach, convenient to explore the town, go shopping, restaurants etc.The resort had a lovely ambiance to it. The staf was attentive and helpful We've booked a Premier room- we expected more luxury. The towels were old and frail. For 2 mornings we had no hot water and just after some complaint it was fixed.

The location and overall ambience were excellent and the staff helpful and friendly. The beach is a nice stretch with calm waters and together with the 2 pools offered plenty of sun loungers to laze about. It was surprising how quiet the hotel is after coming in from the main road. A great retreat in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of Chaweng.

On one side of the hotel is shopping paradise (for my wife) and on the other side of the hotel is beautiful beach (for me). The breakfast was good but could be better considering the room cost. A better variety needs to be offered so that if some one stays for a week, it is not just the repeat of the menu

Very nice hotel design and wonderful garden. Very nice Beach: Clean and with nice white sand. Beach is small but it is generally the case in Chaweng. Personal is not efficient and could be friendlier.

We have stayed here before and really enjoyed it, but 8 years later I wanted to do my research and make sure it was still the best. After much looking into I came back to it as the location, rooms and value for money I could not go past. Right on the edge of the busy part of Cheweng you are close enough to the action...but far enough way to enjoy the serenity and quiet. Great beach outfront with a pool close by...enjoy both with ease...also nicer sand than further along the beach and the waves are out further so you can relax in the gentle tide. Rooms were amazing...we got a suite with the open air jacuzzi and our room was right near the pool...priceless! Well worth the extra.

Hands down one of best places I stayed at. The staff were amazing and so friendly!! Any question we needed answering, they were there. Best location on Chaweng beach as well. Right on main road with restuarants and lots of markets etc. All the facilities are fab! I would definitely recommend to anyone to either get the spa suite with the jacuzzi or upgrade to it which we did! Fabulous!

The position : near to best part of Chaweng beach and near to night life. Elegance of the resort. I went there also in 2006 and I think it will need a little bit of renovation

The spa villa suite is beautiful and clean. The breakfast is located very close to the beach with beautiful view. The swimming pool was very child friendly and quite spacious. Upon arrival we didn't get the room we had reserved and received confirmation for. We slept the first night in the deluxe room which is really old small and dirty. The staff at the pool isn't really helpful. They don't clean up during the day and are very complicated when asked for an extra towel. Rooms are cleaned at 4 pm which is really late. Spa and babysitting services are overpriced.

The location was very good and convenient. It is set right on the beach and in the middle of chaweng street, which is like the happening part of the island. Not ideal if you are looking for quiet location but excellent if u want to be near the shops, restaurants and pubs. The hotel was very clean and all needs were taken care of. Food is really good in both their restaurants. The staff are polite and courteous. Although our total stay at the hotel was good, the first and the last day soured things a little bit. First of all, our room was not ready at the check in time and had to wait till 4pm, which was very annoying as we were really tired after all the travelling. Secondly, they were extremely stingy when it came to offering free transportation to and from airport to their customers when they have spent like 75,000 odd Thai Baht at their hotel. Be careful what u read on website. Offers don't apply if u book through agents, which is what happened to us but was not mentioned anywhere on the their site.

“Fantastic, wow what lovely management and staff, nothing was a bother, they were always friendly and attentive and the few staff that couldn't understand my requests because of my accent would immediately get a staff member who could help me. I cannot say enough good things about this resort. Food at Olivia's restaurant was a high standard. Beach was beautiful and clear to swim in and heaps of fun to use their kayaks for free to go exploring. We stayed in a pool Villa, absolutely beautiful and our adult children stayed in standard rooms which were just as good without the pools. We are heading back in 6 months for another two week break at this resort, we can't wait :) ” Mandy, Tanglin |
