Good location, close to the Ancient City, and very good breakfast. Large room with great balcony and swimming pool is wonderful for relax after one day tour. When I arrived the hotel, I have to wait more than 20 min for check-in because the only staff was very busy at that time.

The location is reasonable. Easy access to the night markets, Tapae Gate & Chiang Mai gate by foot. The staff at reception were very welcoming. The room was large but sparsely decorated, however it was always clean and fresh after the housekeepers finished. The swimming pool is very nice and looked sparkling clean and clear always. We took advantage of the free transfer to the Airport which is about 10 minutes away. The restaurant staff showed little interest in the guests. I get the impression the manager was off for our first two days as there was no interest from the staff at all. A visit from what I suspect was the owner soon got them back into action for the rest of our stay. The small flat screen tv was way over the other side of the room. This meant having to turn up the volume to the dismay of neighbouring guests. The bathroom was small and the shower water pressure was poor. I have stayed at many hotels in Chiang Mai and taking into consideration the time of year and comparing with other similar hotels I feel the price was a little on the expensive side.

Quiet place not far from the ancient city.Staff were helpful and friendly. Not much variety in breakfast which caters more to the far eastern community.Swimming pool shown on Booking.com does not give the right impression and is very small.

Room was big, clean, good views of pool and city. Pretty pool and koi pond. Staff was helpful. Quiet setting just a few minutes drive from old city. Tuk tuks were easy to find within a few minutes of walking. Thai massage right across street was pricey by local standards but was excellent. The breakfast was included but would have rather paid for something better. As in, limited options and not very tasty.

Room and service is very nice, it's our first time to be Chiang mai, and the hotel staff give us much support and information. It's not located to old city area, but only need about ten minutes to be there or night market by walking. You can choose one day safari programs in the hotel and pay 1000-3000 baht in accordance with different visiting items packages. There is no bus or train tickets reservation service to be offered in the hotel. There are ants moving inside the room like other customers mentioned. And the water temperature is not stable when showering.

This hotel is outside of the walled city but is easy to get to and has car/motorbike rental places within very short walking distance. The massages were great and inexpensive and the free breakfast buffet was vast and had both western and thai options. The room is nice and not too loud and the pool in the center is a great treat in this hot city. The internet was spotty and the staff was ok. The food from the restaurant was not great but not terrible either. Convenient part of town but a bit dirty. There were two shower heads and the one that you would want to use didn't work for no apparent reason and the toilet randomly had mini explosions of water out of no where producing a sulfuric smell.

We had a comfortable and spacious deluxe room at Chang Thai House and were really happy with it. The pick up as well as the drop off from and to the airport worked perfectly. The Mini-Bar is for free and gets filled up daily. The breakfast was nice, nothing special but something for everybody. The staff at the reception is really nice and helpful. The restaurant that belongs to the hotel closes really early (7:30 pm) and it's quite a walk until you get to other restaurants. The food at the hotel restaurant wasn't really good and fruit shakes and coffee are way better when you get them at one of the market stalls. Plus, the restaurant staff seemed really annoyed, whenever someone came for lunch or dinner.

Really liked the ambiance of the hotel. The rooms and public areas were charming and attractive. Staff wanted us to pay for a pillowcase that they said we had stained with blue dye. I think the blue silk cushion on the bed transferred it's dye to the pillowcase, not our fault or problem. Quite unpleasant to deal with at check out.

Very nice deluxe rooms with magnificent view. Plenty of space and with much little beautiful details. Nice staff but they don't speak good English. Decent breakfast. Decent wi-fi. Expensive tours and massages offered by the hotel. Difficult to check-in earlier.

Loved the Chang Thai House. Staff were great not in you face. Booked tours though them price was good. Location seemed out of the way at first but after walking around was close to everything. Never took a cab anywhere but to the airport. Would and will stay here in the future. No problem doing a late check out . Breakfast was basic. Who doesn't like eggs, ham and toast. Had Asian breakfast too.Have read different bad reviews on this place but for the price and service I received couldn't be happier. Not a big pool area.

We had a lovely stay at Chang Thai. The staff was very friendly and treated my son very nicely. They stored our bags all day and were very accommodating to letting us get stuff in and out of our bags and use the pool.
