Near the night market, location good.
At our room, it was very difficult to be connected to the wifi. Breakfast is not so good. Bathroom is too old.
Great proximity to the night market. The whole hotel was beautifully presented with musicians in the rather impressive lobby, staff giving out towels by the pool and porters taking your luggage for you. We only stayed for one night but we thoroughly enjoyed it. Breakfast was also good, with lots of choice.
It was quite a walk to the old town (e.g 10-15 minutes to the edge of the old town)
good location, easy to find eating-out, room is a little bit old but almost clean. breakfast ok.
The location is fair in the centre of city, near to the night market
1- the room have a lot of ants 2-No water in the toilet(shadaf). You need it for kids 3- we have put a request for early check in and we have arrived at 11 AM but the did not accept us, they said even if they have empty room the check in time is 1 PM 4- breakfast was very poor ,,,you have to walk up to princes Hotel to get coffee from Starbucks. 5- fitness center really poor and open at 8 AM. 6- we tried having diner in the restaurant and was bad choice. 7- you need to check you credit Card because they do a lot of mistakes while checking out. 8- room cleaning is really is really bad and you will find the dirt for previous gust 9- intent free but very poor
Close to the action so just a short walk rather than always using transport
The lighting in the whole building was very dark so it was a little depressing. The hotel is looking a bit old
The hotel is very close to the night market but not the walking distance to the old city. The lobby of the hotel is vey nice and Staffs are excellent. We also enjoy the live piano every everning in the lobby.
There are many ants in the room, feel not well. The rate of the hotel is not so attactive in compare to other hotel in Chiangmai.
My memories of past better visits.
I have visited the Plaza many times in the last 15 years and I am sorry to say the standards have deteriorated. The staff at the reception were very poor, no one to open the foyer door, brass handles were filthy, the girl serving us ' picked her nose' the whole time. We booked a non smoking room and were told they did not have one !!! The hotel was very quite and obviously not full !! I insisted and after a long wait i was given a non smoking room only to find an ashtray and matches in the room. The mattress was very hard as were the pillows. The air conditioning had a mind of its own and at best blew warm air. The breakfast was appalling. Obviously catering for the Chinese, the Western choice - cold fried eggs and bacon(I think) that was in a cold server. Needless to say we will not be returning. Maybe the online agents have a fault also, to get the cheapest deals for them to advertise , the hotels have rooms set aside for each agent of a poor quality.
Internet Old looking rooms Mold in bathrooms Broken curtains
Beautiful and clean
No atmosphere and very quiet
Location is quite good also cleanliness
The checkin staff told us that we had out breakfast but the next day they wouldnt let us in for breakfast Very bad
Located very near the main touristic streets; Lot of restaurants with local and international food around.
Chinese neighbours very noisy in the middle of the night...
The nice porters. Friendly service from them
The breakfast was really boring
the pool and the location
I had specifically asked for one king size bed, the reception was reluctant to honor the booking.com request, I had to argue for the same.
Our room was miles away on 9th floor. It is very lonely and miserable. Our room was dingy no good lighting. The bathroom was quite bright but no plug point for getting ready. I asked to be moved but no joy. They place new bulbs in the lights but still dingy. I wouldn't recommend this hotel. The gym and pool were excellent but again lonely long walk through hotel to get to them. I was told I would have to payor money for another room.
The room and the long roaming walk to breakfast room and the long walk to pool and gym. They need a shuttle bus lol
Like the quiet, and easy to go around
I recommended a friend of mine from Australia(Robert Navkovski) to book this hotel to stay during Apr 12-17,2014. He rang me as it was very disappointed on his check in date they gave him a domitory room to share with 8 peoples not a hotel as he booked and see in this site. Why it happened?
nice place, close to the market and the busy area. good value for the money.
lots of mosquitos in the room.
Wifi didn't work at the hotel at all. First they said it is because lof of people were staying there, and then some problems.
We love the location - close to night markets, easy walk to old city. Beautiful foyer and friendly & helpful staff. Reasonable rates.
Rooms now quite tired & not kept updated, wi-fi hopelessly slow & drops out a lot so we bought Thai SIM card for own Internet access.
Not very far from the night bazar but the nb is a place for tourist where you'll find everything you can find in Bangkok. So not necessary... Sighseeing on the city Silent (carpet everywhere and far from the big center)
Lack of maintenance (one of the bed power plugs completely destroyed and holding only by straps) Big building for mass people Noy so clean (outside of the window full of bird sh.., underbed torn to shreds, old carpet)
Nice hotel, with good facilities and a good room. It is located very close to the night bazaar.
It is 20min walk away from the old city area. The breakfast can improve.
great swimming pool large room good breakfast good location I'll be back for sure.
Hotel is well located, close to night bazaar and city and very close to an excellent restaurant. I was travelling as a senior with my 36year old daughter and will stay again at this hotel
Location is Good, Swimming Pool is OK, Lobby is quite big.
Room is too old style, Breadfast just Ok.
