Location, price, clean
Service (staff do not standby at hotel)
location was excellent as my office was close. If you need taxis they are right outside. The metro is a short walk of about ten minutes. The price was very low and for that the room was clean, good ac, quiet, safe.
My room looked out onto a wall, but considering the price it was ok.
Comfortable beds; wifi worked fine; A/C worked fine.
Location was a bit strange.. If you to the 7/11 gas station with an A&W restaurant, you're very close. You need to find the path behind the gas station and the hotel is on the soi. When I arrived, I waited about 10 minutes before someone let me in; the staff were not there, I had to phone the number on the door.
Large room, comfortable beds (by Thai standards, which are always very firm), good internet. Old building nicely maintained. Convenience store, chemist etc nearby, and large shopping centre 10 minutes walk away. Walking distance to MRT station.
Top (third) floor rooms had no obvious fire exit. There is no lift. No spare toilet paper left in room, and tea/coffee was not replaced during 4-day visit.
If you have no local language, don't stay there. Taxi drive didn't know the place. When l called the guest house to asked for help, no one answer. 2km way back home, he took 18km back there. Finally l found the way not him.
the room is cozy ,nice for 2 ppl
always cant fnd the staff on reception and the water heater is not working...
Very helpful reception and friendly stuff, feeling like home atmosphere. Close to the shopping mall and JJ market. 40 mins to Suvannaphom airport by taxi but have to take a high way so it's better to avoid the traffic. Will stay there again if I have a chance to go shopping in JJ market!
Near don mueang airport and chatuchak weekend market, staff courtesy, room was clean
Metro not in walking distance as described, need to take taxi
My wife and I had slightly different opinions but overall the stay was refreshing. It doesn't feel like a hotel. It feels more like a home stay. I feel it is in a good location, north of Chatuchak Market, and away from the crowds. The area is residential, quiet at night. A handful of food stalls within a stone's throw. The stay felt very private. I never felt the presence of anyone else. The room and accommodations were as clean as you can want a place to be. You can walk through a small path to get to a couple of coffee shops and a small strip of stores consisting of an A&W and a 7-11. The room I may have had a microwave but don't hold me to it. It did have a small fridge and a DVD player. The bathroom is very large, mostly one of those open showers. The water pressure I had wasn't superb but the shower head was average, better than some, not any big turn on. I love the place but there are some negatives that may keep me from returning. Cold, Cold AC which is a PLUS. Very private feel and excellent security. Nobody just walks in the front door. You have to be buzzed in. Try sitting on one of the seats in the foyer when you walk in. It's heaven. I would relax, stay for a day or two, ask for a room in the rear of the building.
During the night, around 7p, if you're in a room facing the highway (front of hotel) you will get exhaust from the highway which appears to be further from the hotel than the amount of pollution you get in the room proves. It does dissipate after 1 or 2a but it is enough to make you think twice about returning or even staying. If you have problems with leaving your footwear downstairs, this isn't the place for you. I do not. Others may not be into walking barefoot on "strange" but clean floors. Overall, if I am grading the place/stay overall, I give it a B- The hostess is almost invisible most of my stay. Some don't mind, others might not like it. I didn't mind. The place feels very private.
not much to do around the place
The owner is very nice and helpful. Excellent hotel 5 mins ride (50 baht) from Chatuchak market. Big room and great shower.
There is no breakfast but you can find coffee shops nearby.
Clean tidy and spacious room very comfortable staff very pleasant and helpful good price
location can be a little difficult to explain to taxi drivers when you've been out in the more central areas. but I always managed to get back ok.
