Hotel is just average. An awful smell comes as you enter the hotel. Took premier deluxe rooms , had no bath robes ,slippers.but staff was good enough to send some on request. Bathrooms are very basic .

rooftop pool and cascading pools were very nice. nice view of patong beach. beautiful etnry way and classy modern room. gym was also very nice. staff was friendly and we booked a day trip from the lobby that was lots of fun (phi phi island). location to beach (half a block away) was the best feature. although the main entrance, cafe, and room were top notch; we felt the hallways needed a bit more attention. the hallways of the second floor had stained floors and walls and a dingy look to them. The room was nice, clean, modern but we felt like the halls needed a good coat of paint and a powerwashing to live up to the Marriott name. For the price it was easy to overlook, and by no means was the place dirty. in fact the rooms and facilities were over all very beautiful and clean.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The entire hotel including our hotel room had a damp, musty horrible smell. The hotel seemed a bit run down for a 4 star Marriot hotel. I definitely expected more being part of the international group of hotels.

Good location. The standard of the rooms seem to be higher than the surrounding hotels. Nice breakfast buffet. Slow and expensive Internet. No wi-fi in the rooms. There is a strange smell in lobby and elevators. Lack of seating and shade at the roof top pool.

Excellent location just 3 minutes walk from Patong Beach. The Premier room was very large and easily accomodated the extra bed for our 15 year old son (on extra charge of course). Breakfast was also very good and the hotel gave us complimentary internet. There is a strange foul smell (like a sewage) in the lobby area only just outside the lifts.

Close to the beach, shops, bars and easy to take trips to other beaches. The pool was too small, not much fun for kids. The breakfast was geared towards more Asian food. I am used to a lot more choice of fruit. I think there should of been some nuts, or fish available, the bacon and sausages were poor quality. The rest of the food was good quality. The hotel entrance smelt of sewerage. The passage ways between the rooms were very loud we were disturbed most nights with people coming back to their rooms, at 2am and 3am.

Close to all the shopping and easy access to the beach. It is a comfortable stay, we were traveling with a 3.5 month old baby and there were no complications. It is quite pricey.

The location and your 24 hour coffee shop. Our room was horrible. You could not sit on the wc since the shower glass was blocking from one side in the toilet. The rooms had no view. The front office staff was rude and had a take it or leave it attitude towards us. Training for the front office staff is very important .. If it was not for the location we would not have enjoyed the hotel at all.

It would be good if they could have children friendly pool and standardize it across pan island with the other Courtyards. Slides with shallow water at some end. The pool also needs frequent maintenance on the safety aspects as a few during my stay including my 8 year old had cuts from the pool. Deep cuts.

An excellent kids club. All hotel staff were very friendly and helpful unlike those staff in shopping centres who would often give you that black and unwelcoming face.

We liked the Chilfren's Activity centre and the pools. The view from the seventh floor pool area was magnificent. The breafast had lots of variety with good food. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. It was very convenient to book tours in the beautiful, hotel lobby. We, Canadians loved the big Christmas tree and the decorations in the lobby. It was always easy to get an elevator. The location of the hotel was perfect for the beach and shopping yet was always quiet for sleeping.

As a Marriott Member I was expecting the usual high standard, however it is not in the same class as the other Marriott Hotels I have stayed at..the decor is tired and worn but it is only a few years old. The staff are very friendly and 'Uma', at reception is wonderful and extremely efficient with perfect English.. Breakfast is a wonderful feast of assorted foods and you could not find fault with it. Housekeeping was very good at keeping our rooms well stocked and clean.. Overall ( a group of 4 ) were very happy but as I say, dont expect the usual Marriott Hotel Standards. On the second night it poured rain and our bathroom had water pouring through the ceiling lights.. It took several calls to Reception to get anyone to actually do anything. The smoke alarm kept going off in my room when using the hair dryer.. Again several calls to reception but no one ever actually turned up ( glad we weren't actually on fire).. Don't book tours or activities through them as thy are grossly overpriced, we used the tour people outside the 7/11 a few doors up towards the beach end.. Same tours at a third of the price. The smell in the lobby near the elevators is terrible ( smells like sewage ).. it also happened on and off in one of our bathrooms whenever we turned on the taps, it is really overbearing and when we mentioned it to reception ( we were there 16 days) on several occasions, they just smiled and said 'thank you madame'.. As I said, dont expect the usual Marriott Standards.. I doubt I would stay again as for less money I could get the same standard at several other hotels on Beach Road..

Easy access to Patong main life, Jung Ceylon and Bangla Road the staff were awesome and so was the breakfasts! Our room had a really bad view, straight onto a wall housing the elevator shaft with the air conditioner at the top making a huge noise every night - also we had tricky balcony doors that if they weren't closed "just right" the air con wouldn't come on and in the week we stayed there the lovely housekeeper, god bless her, would clean the balcony but not close the doors properly and our air con would then not come on so we'd come back to a hot room.
