Nice location close to the old city but very quiet at night, very helpful and benevolent manager Mac, cheap laundry with drying nearby and coin washing machine next door, all room facilities worked normally, wi-fi was stable and fast enough, A/C was perfect, cameras all over the place for safety. I highly recommend CS house.

Very few minor things: there was no shower curtain in the shower so all the water got splashed all over the bathroom (not a problem for me), ants in the bathroom and all over fruit leftovers (which is everywhere in thailand i suppose), no fridge (but it is not mentioned in the hotel description so guests should be well aware of that when they do the booking).

we stayed at cs house for 6 nights. the bed was the softest we had during our travels. rooms are equipped with large tv with lot of channels and the aircon is very good situated in the room. it is very good value for the money. the restaurant offers cheap beer and very cheap soft drinks although they are not cooking all the time, especially when is low season. max the owner is very helpful but sometimes bit overwhelming (he wants to explain everything and sometimes a bit too pushy).hotel is in quiet location and close to the city and markets. the cs house is offering tours for very good prices and the transport for 2 people to the tiger kingdom is perfect and only for 600 bath. overall great value for money we will definitely come back again and i do recommend this hotel to everyone.

Room was spacious and had almost everything I needed. In a closed garden shape, the hotel has a nice layout, perfect for socialising

there was no fridge, no safe and no air-con in this room which due to the heat maybe should not even be an option as its needed. There are no openable windows.

The woman (the owners girlfriend) was extremely nice. Very helpfull and always with a big smile on her face. She lights up the place with her cheerfulness. The place had a nice and peaceful atmosphere and a charming garden.

The bed was extremely hard and you could feel the metal-springs a lot. Very uncomfortable. Only western (no thai) breakfast.

The rooms are large compared to other guest houses in Chiang Mai. Enough room to roll out a yoga mat and move about freely; table with two chairs, vanity with big mirror, 2 complimentary water bottles per day, 2 towels, good Wifi - it cut out once during my first stay at CS House, but the owner Nee immediately called her service company and had it fixed within hours, in the meantime she provided access to another wifi network. Great A/C, cable TV, comfortable bed & pillows, everything is squeaky clean and there is plenty of hot water with great pressure. The bathroom is nice size as well with sink and western toilet and completely tiled. Bike & moped rentals available on premises. The location is great! About a 5 minute walk to the northeast corner just outside the mote and 5min more to get inside the old city. Plenty of restaurants, cafe's, bars within short walking distance, and even easier and quicker to reach by bike. CS House sits on a quiet street and is a lovely, peaceful getaway from the fast paced energy of Chiang Mai. The rooms face a garden-like courtyard that invites sitting outside. I liked CS House, Nee & Max so much that I booked with them again my second time in Chiang Mai.

Was advised on arrival that they provide very limited services during the off season in their restaurant. Wish there was laundry service on premises, but believe Nee (owner) has very recently or is planning to install coin washers/dryers. CS House would be phenomenal if they had a mini-fridge in the room and a hot water kettle to make tea/coffee without having to leave the room. And top of my wish list is an ability to cook which would be great for long-term stays.

    - the hosts, very friendly and helpful (advice about where to go and how to get there, also arranged a zipline adventure for us, the hostess gave me medicinal tea when I was ill which was very sweet) - location (just outside the city center) - the room, we had an aircon room, quite big and enough space in the closets , good price - the garden, lovely to have breakfast in and hang out after a day of strolling in the city - WiFi, best we had in Thailand

The location is good, just outside of the old city, walking distance to Saturday/Sunday market. The guesthouse is in a quite neighborhood, nice place if you are a light sleeper.

The owners get impatient if you don't book transport or trip from them.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean room and nice garden. Location quite OK, 10 minute walk to the old city.

It can take a longer time to get brekfast, so if you want to be early its best to order it the night before.

The wifi connection was excellent. We stayed in the dbl room w/ fan and it was good, only used it to sleep and shower then spent the day out. Nice garden area with seats and tables good for relax. The couple who own it are really nice and helpful. Location was residential and quite about 15/20 mins walk to Taphae Gate.

Location only, good stroll when starting the day not so much after walking the entire day.

The staff was extremely helpful. The room is pretty much standard for a guesthouse in Thailand: Large bed, TV and shower next to the toilet in a tiled bathroom. It's located about 10 minutes by foot from the night market in a back street. That location makes it absolutely perfect if you want to spend a few nights without the constant noise of motorbikes and cars.

A bit difficult to find initially. Make sure you follow the "CShouse" sing from the main road past the spa and take a left at next "CShouse" sign. It's on the right, almost at the end of the alley.

Clean, pretty new and really nice. Ultimately helpful stuff!!They make it real home for travelers. They helped us to organize a perfect trip to Chiang Rai. First night it was a party and all the CS guests were invited, so we had a good chance to meet other travelers. One of the best places we stayed on our trip to Thailand 2014

It's on a distance from the city center, walkable, took us usually about 20 min.
