The staff were very friendly, and helpful with additional requests and advice on what to do / how to book activities etc. The room was a good size with warm water shower, and wifi in the rooms, albeit of average signal strength. This is just to the east of the old city, but closer to the action of the Night Bazaar markets and the local Woronot markets.
The only thing I didn't like was the lighting in the bedroom - a bedside lamp would be good - although this seems to be the case all across Thailand in this level of accommodation.
Wifi was the best so far and the bed was gorgeous, made you feel like staying in bed on laptop. Both spoke good English.
Stairs to room, night access set up,
-cheap -clean -5 minute walking to markets & center -friendly
-rooms to the Street very noisy in the morning
Close to town, and cheap for a short stay
Owner allows smoking on floor/stairs and you do get smoke smell invading room from inconsiderate people. We lost area power and therefor water shower for over 10 hrs.
Value for money. Bed was smaller than usually and a bathroom was tiny with low pressure but hey... The bed was comfortable, room was clean and tidy. Very friendly guy running the place ( though flashing a torso when speaking to customers is not very professional...:)
Check out at 11 A bit messy at the reception area
Walking distance to everything
Owner/manager never wore a shirt
The guy in the reception was polite.
the hostel is difficult to find so print a map if you want to get there. It is a good 15 minutes walk to the centre, where everything is. We got a room in the top floor and ceiling had a few holes in it. the windows were closed when we arrived and the temperature of the room was close to the 40degrees Celsius. You get what you pay for but I've been in better places for the same rate.
English speaking host and money saving. Can't get much more for the money spent.
can be a bit tricky to find in the alley and the day tour the guesthouse owner booked for us was not the one we signed up for.
Good price and clean rooms. Hot water and towels. Daily room service. Staff is nice. Location is okay. Good Wifi and Alex speaks perfect english. Would definetely stay again, because the price is right.
We stayed in two different rooms and the toilet in the first room flooded after shower. The toilet was also really small. Second room itself was small, but the toilet was decent size. It was located on the street side and was really noisy: traffic, people, roosters... Locals start working about 8 am and after that is hard to sleep. Breakfast was a bit expensive. Gym is not free for quests.
location was a good compromise between the stuff inside the city walls and the night bazaar downtown, bed was comfortable, hanging racks to dry towels in the room was a helpful touch, wifi and hot water both work
rooms are a bit run down, street is very noisy with traffic at night, 100 baht to use some basic weights in the garage is a bit rich, you can get cheaper and better breakfast at any of the cafes
stuff very friendly Fan room tep. was good
Alexis was very friendly. He helped us booking a great 2days trekkingtour. We liked the cumpun guesthouse and even prolonged our stay for 2 more days. The price for our room (fan) was around 320B for each night. The room got cleaned every day (you can't ecpect that for this price). The guesthouse is cozy and alexis has always time for a chat and also likes to give you an advice if needed. We would definitly come back any time.
Wlan turned on and off frequently. But who cares...
Alexis and his girl friend are very friendly and helpful people. Location is great, very close to The night market and far away from the turistic area
Location Price Wifi worked well Friendly staff
This was a great base for us to explore Chiang Mai. The owner Alexis and his partner are really friendly and helpful. Don't forget to order waffles the night before!
Good room for the cheap price. Owners helpful and always on site to help out. Good wifi. Nice clean room, basic but spotless.
-noisy in the morning with shops setting up, but depends what side the windows face.
- Great location - Very nice staff - Very clean, every day fresh towels - Comfy bed - Very good wi-fi - Unbeatable price Overall excellent value for money!
- only cold water when taking shower but not a big deal considering the heat outside
Good location, clean spacious rooms, good shower and good wifi signal
A little loud in the morning from the street with changing gas bottles
The owner and rest of the staff were great. The room was cleaned and made up, which is not common in SE Asia, especially for this price! There were restaurants and bars nearby and everything you could need.
All was great
Extremely nice hosts, excellent location!
Smell of filth from toilet and the stinky stream near the place. Greedy owner who always tries to fine you: late checkout, clocked toilet, everything.
every thing is ok
nothing to mention
The guesthouse is so cozy because it is run by a family and you get to see the same kind faces every day. It has a really nice, welcoming feel. The double rooms are comfortable, clean, and spacious and the quality of airconditioning and wifi were great. Be sure to try Alexis' authentic Belgian waffles - they are so delicious!
Great location you can be at the night market or gate within ten minutes. Being a short stroll from the centre meant nice peaceful sleep in a nice size very clean room. Made to feel welcome with plenty of information avaliable for any tours or activities you may wish to take in. Laundry and scooter hire one minute away, overall a great place to stay and chill in this top family run guest house....being belgian helps when you want to talk decent beer too.
they cleaned the room daily! Very rare for most hostels / guesthouses
