towels are old and hardly absorb water.They should be changed. Food in restaurant is too expensive. I had rice soup with fish,it was like Jok!

The obsession with aircon - felt my room was like 15 degrees

Pool and its area very small, surrounded by a huge wall. No sun in the afternoon. Equipment and infrastructure worn-out. Rather 4 than 5 star.

Good for business travellers or for staying in the city. Rooms are comfortable, and clean

Breakfast could have more variety for the class of hotel (five stars)

The decor, location and the extremely helpful concierge who was always ready to give advice and arrange for taxis or tuk-tuks to get us around the city.

On arrival we were welcomed and then told that (having not booked breakfast beforehand) if we were to agree to have breakfast every day it would be at a special cheap rate. The breakfasts were excellent but when we came to check out our bill for the breakfasts was much higher than we had been advised. When we queried this we were told there had been a "misunderstanding"! My son and I both heard the original offer and there was no misunderstanding on our side. Had we known the actual cost beforehand we would not have chosen to pay it.

We booked a double room, when we arrived the reception were unaware of our booking which was understandable given we booked hours earlier from BKK, but we were informed the only double was on the smokers floor, the smell in the foyer and the room was disgusting, after several minutes inside my partner became sick, sneezing, itching, coughing then dry reaching. We left the room and went back to reception, without hesitation they offered us a twin room on another floor which was ok, the rooms certainly aren't as great as the hotel entrance or foyer.

It has a great location, staff were excellent, totally clean bathroom, great fitness center and great service all round.

The swimming pool was closed due to some problem, but they shuttle you to the Rati Lanna hotel's swimming pool on demand.

Conveniently located. Close to shops and eateries. Night markets around the corner. Staff are the most hospitable, friendly and accommodating of all the hotels I have stayed in. There was a welcome drink and sat us down. No waiting and room was available immediately. The bell boy was so cute and friendly. All the staff are English-speaking which helped alot. The gym is excellent. The room is cleaned and all amenities are in top condition. The atmosphere is great and smells nice. romantic lighting and just a nice feel to it all. Security is awesome. I accidentally left the door ajar. There is a patrolling security guard who walks up and down the floors and informed me of my door. Also there is a security swipe card where you have to have the card in order to get to your room level and not any other levels. Also security boxes in all rooms. Free internet as well. I would come back here again and again. The best hotel. Love the Thai people so friendly and smiling all the time.

Excellent rooms with great friendly staff always ready to help and give information of Chiang Mai. My stay was made memorable by the staff.

We enjoyed the friendly staff, cheery hotel, location, concierge service, nightly treats. We had a pleasant stay and looked forward to the hotel after sightseeing all day.
