the mattress was quite hard clean bathroom nice swimming pool
very noisy area, the Khao San road is very loud, we had to use ear plugs to catch some sleep
The style of the rooms and hotel were quite nice. Clean and quick to send up something if you asked.
I asked about noise and was told it was a quiet room - NOT true. Every foot step, telephone, the pool side music vibrated the room and of course the street noise came through. A bit of sound proofing and turning down the poolside music would do wonders. Also way too much chlorine in the pool - stung, oh and no pool towels after 5pm even though pool is open till 12pm.
very nice roof swimming pool,
the noise from the street and people coming and going all night long is terrible, impossible to sleep
Nice location, in walking distance from several attractions and surrounded by money exchange and tour shops that offer very reasonable prices. Rooms are big and confy. Nice breakfast comparing with other thai budget hotels. The rooftop pool is really great!
They should have side bed lamps so that people could read in bed. This is a terrible noisy road so make sure you ask for a bedroom not facing the street. If you prefer a quieter place close from this street, head to Rambuttri Road that has no cars and fewer shops.
Location (I needed to be in Kaosan ) was just perfect. The room deco is very nice inside, but if you have troubles standing up (like my mom) the beds are on the floor, difficult for her to get out of bed without help. Elevator, swimming pool, great breakfast, nice staff, good wifi.
The balcony is really small, the view is ugly. If you have a room on the street side, there will be a lot of noise (I tried 3 different rooms, 1 in front, 2 in the back)
Decoration is good. The style looks very Thailand.
It is on a super noisy street. Sometimes we cannot even hear each other's talk, especially when we stand just outside the lobby. What surprises me, well, in a bad way, is that they do not take in visa, but cash only.
Good location on khaosan road for a couple of days stay. Very nice swimming pool. Comfy bed. We had a room with window facing another room, which is located only a meter away. It did not bother us much but might be an issue for someone else. You can request a room facing the externals to avoid this. Close to a number if temples and river. Market, shops, cafes and restaurants are just outside.
Humidity in the rooms.
1. Value for money
1. Extremely noisy, located in the main party street 2. Window facing the wall 3. Bed on the floor 4. Breakfast assortment is quite limited
Room was clean and neat, location very close to Kho san Rd and markets , bars and restuarants.
The guy that books you in is by far the most arrogant human being that I have encountered on this eight month trip through many countries of the world. The breakfast is basic and everything is non-vegetarian. When we approached the staff to adjust the menu to cater for vegetarians it would have been easier to re route Kho San Road to another location. If you need to sleep before 2am forget this site.
The location of this hotel is very nice. In the middle of the street Koh San Road. The swimmingpool at the roof was also a nice place to chillout.
There were a lot of insects in our room. The staff sprayed some stuff butt that didn't solved the problem. In the morning there were not enough tables and chairs for breakfast. The music keeps on going till late at night, but I'm an easy sleeper.
The hotel is on the famous ko san road so everything you need is near, cheap food, tuk tuk, bars, shopping. You can easily get to Grand Palace, Wat Po and other attractions by foot or take a boat for 15 baht (nearest pier is 10min walk away).
Music is very loud so it can be heard throughout the night, and this might be a problem for some people. Because of high moisture and the fact that rooms are almost all from wood they have unpleasant smell.
Great location because it is close to all the sights to see and to the river. Great for young people who like nightlife. Close to many food places. An idea: those who dont like Asian food can find a street behind Khaosan and it is full of restaurants offering western food. Great pool and bar on the top, open till midnight. Very friendly and helpful staff. Spacious bathroom. Aircon in the room and bottles of drinking water are provided every day.
Noisy. Ants in the room but I guess it happens anywhere, it is Asia. No chair/armchair in the room, this was really weird, nowhere to sit down and the bed is on the floor so you cant even sit on the bed. Theres a weird smell in the room.
- Location is amazing to go out since all the bars are located on the same street - The sky bar is amazing as well as the pool - Free breakfast (for us) every morning
- The hotel seems a bit old but not a big problem in itself
They have breakfast only till 9:30 and too many guests too the facilities and no flexibility. They close sharply. The internet is not functioning and the rooftopbar have bad service.
Pool. Bed Very comfortable. Nice English breakfast. Great party location. Great tai massage in hotel area.
Recepcion stuff can be more friendly.
Right in heart of Koh San road, roof top pool was great.
Bed a bit uncomfortable, for £27 a night you can't complain!
Great wifi Pool was good
Breakfast Location-very loud in the evening but nothing else really around
Pool area Price of beers Air con Good safe Breakfast included
Ants in bed Dripping tap
Clean and central.
The noise and the fact the staff were not all that helpful i.e. wouldn't call you a taxi.
good location We slept in 3 different rooms, those that are reconstructed are quite nice.
Stuff does not understand English (most of them) Lot of noise from the street and construction work Wifi connection very poor No taxi service Could not open the balcony door
Close proximity to temples, the river front, the royal palace, and the khao San road party experience. Hotel room was relatively clean and comfortable. Wifi is good, but have to sign in every session. Cheap drinks, clothing, and food nearby. Be prepared to haggle for the best price! Also nice to have breakfast included in the lobby restaurant (eggs, rice, toast, sausage, coffee/tea, fruit).
We were on the 4th floor on the backside of the hotel. Despite the extra distance from the khao San road partying, the entire hotel still shook from the club bass. Bring earplugs, or be too inebriated to notice. Otherwise, you will not sleep. Be very weary of the visitor information centre who claims they are government run and impartial to sales. They are clearly out to take your money and send you to their friends hotels/resorts with commission in return. Any "helpful" person sanding near a map is preying on lost/confused travelers and will try to get you to the visitor info centre. Do your research BEFORE arriving!!!!!!
Stayed here for 2 nights when we arrived in Bangkok. Comfortable beds, good shower. Pool area is lovely, cheap and it's very central. Cannot fault it & would stay again.
Nothing besides if you want to have a couple nights to get trashed.
First I'd like to say we are backpackers and we stay in a lot of budget places but.... This staff is so bad here, the pictures online are nothing like what you will get! Every time you asked the front desk a question they will make you feel stupid then laugh when you walk away. Best part is here, we take our laundry down because it says in the room in black and white laundry that is dropped off before noon on any day will get returned at 6pm the next day. The man and women at the front desk laughed and said no I would get if back in two days. Wifi does not work at all! And Please listen to me when I say that if you want dirty looks and very very poor service go to this hotel as we were discusted in the front desk especially the main man who takes the money! I would not recommend this place to anyone even if it was $5 per night.
Rooms where a good size and friendly staff
Very few things in the room, 1 complimentary bar of soap for a 3 night stay. More of a Hostel feel rather than hotel.
Late night loud music from competing bars on street, but the hotel are currently installing windows on balconies overlooking the street; these should reduce noise levels
