Feung Nakorn Balcony Rooms and Cafe  

Close but not to close from Ko San road. Peaceful at night. Quite clean.

Only few of the staff speaks english.

Just a very perfect place. Room was very huge, safety box inside the room, cafe with food and drinks. You can check in any time and actually check out as well anytime

The building does not have a lift , but it is not big deal as staff helping you with your luggage

Great little hotel with beautiful gardens. We have chosen it because of its location. It is 15 minutes away from Grand Palace and Wat Po and it is opposite Wat Rachabophit which was a bonus. We also liked the fact that is wasn't near busy street or on horribly loud and busy Khao San Rd. All rooms were facing the gardens and we didn't hear any traffic or other noises. Room and bathroom was nice and clean and had a kettle which was a bonus as we like our tea and coffee in the evening. Huge plus for water and other drinks and snacks which were free of charge - nice touch. We did like the garden a lot, tranquile oasis in such busy city, yes you will get bitten by mossies but hey it is not hotel's fault, just spray some repellent and you will be fine! Bar was nice to sit and relax in the evening. Nearest shop 7/11 only 5 minutes away. Great little street food 'restaurant' next to hotel or you can walk down to flower market where there is an abundance of street food stools selling great tasting super cheap food - don't miss it when you are in Bangkok, you won't get it anywhere else so delicious and cheap. Staff at the hotel was great, emailed us the map for taxi when I have emailed them that we will be arriving late. Also they helped us book taxi back to airport with their special rate of 500 baht, it cost us nearly 900 on a meter taxi to get there in the first place (leave much earlier for airport as traffic is very busy in Bangkok). But the best thing was when they have written in Thai names of some dishes for us to try at the nearby street food vendor - best food we tasted in Bangkok. It is worth checking out the local market in the morning only few streets away. We didn't have breakfast in the morning which I regret as it did look tasty. All together great hotel in great location.

The outside patio area is beautiful, there are ponds and lovely places to sit. It has a nice location, close to lots of tourist areas, temples, flower market, and the like. The people working there are super friendly and helpful.

We stayed in the dormitory and for the price we should have gotten a private room. The bathrooms were pretty gross and there were cockroaches. Just typical Thailand hostel problems.

There vas place to sit Down for a cup of kafe or something to drink outside the hotel.

The environs with the coy pool and water gardens and flowers made us feel relaxed. The staff is professional and courteous and helpful to the nth degree! The hotel is centrally located to many attractions near the Grand Palace, yet it is very quiet. The breakfast buffet is delicious and plentifyl. Robust coffee and thirst-quenching beers at hsppy hour! We loved it all!

We had an unpleasant experience wthe the taxi transfer to the airport, the taxi arrived 45 minutes late.

Staff nice and friendly, quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the city yet still within easy walking distance of everything. Courtyard set out very nicely and has a relaxed atmosphere. Rooms were very tidy and happy, well lit with warm colours. There is also a nice little ice cream store next door, good coffee on the first floor at the front of the resort (when its open)

The only thing was the drains in the bathroom needed to be cleaned, they had a sulphur smell coming from them that was very strong.

We loved this place, the staff are super attentative although some a little more than others. The guy outside the hotel will hail taxis and tuk tuks for you and ensures you dont get a rip off price. The rooms are tastefully done and very large. The bathrooms aren't amazing and certainly still the typical thai style wet room sort. But the rooms are lovely and airy and large and there is a hairdryer and safe in the room. Pillows could do with being a bit more soft as we all observed they were a bit on the hard side.

I guess there isn't that much near the hotel other than the grand palace. We wanted to get massages but were told we'd have to go as far as khoa san road to get them. But the serenity if this place makes this a very very minor drawback!!

A very convenient location - close to the historical part of Bangkok and to the pier. Quite good breakfasts.

The air conditioner blew directly on the bed in all modes. No other complaints.

This place was wonderful... Clean, modern design in a great location in Bangkok... Close to major temples, nice parks, Khaosan Road, yet the immediate surroundings were very calm and quiet in the evening. We were only there for one night and they had given our room away already, so they upgraded us to an amazing suite for free... One of the nicest hotel rooms i've ever stayed in. Great breakfast buffet, nice restaurant/bar atmosphere. Great experience

We had a hard time finding the place (our airport taxi just dropped us off at Khaosan Road, which is only a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel but we had no idea which way to go at first), but that wasn't the hotel's fault. It's actually easy to find if you have your bearings in the city.

Nice lobby, polite and helpful staff, our suite is clean and big, free snack and drink on minibar. 10-15Minutes to Thai palace and Kaosan road also by walking. Nice chicken opposite the hotel.

The traffic, not very convenient to take the metro.

- the staff - the location in the city, close to the main tourist sites - the patio and the garden where you can enjoy a drink peacefully in the evening - the size of the rooms - the free water, cokes and crisps - have not tried the dormitory but they looked great too - the free wifi - the international breakfast, simple but fine

Location- it is only near to some temples but very old, dirty district, it is not easy to get there from some big shopping centres

I stayed in a dorm here, and was very pleased with all aspects of Feung Nakorn. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and spacious. There was air con, large lockers, and I used the very clean shared bathroom facilities. The hotel has Wi fi, but also very usefully provides a computer that anyone can use. This hotel is in a fantastic location for seeing all the Temples. It is very close to Wat Pho and the Grand Palace, both of which are amazing, must see locations if you are in Bangkok. It is about 12 minutes to walk to the Kho San road, so a better location for those who would rather be away from the hectic throng of youthful travellers.

The only negative about Feung Nakorn Balcony rooms is that Taxi drivers cannot find it, so I would suggest printing out the map on their website before you go. If you forget to do this as I did, it is best to tell them it is near Wat Rajabophit.

The location is an easy walk to many of the famous cultural sites. Breakfast was okay. Staff is quite friendly and helpful.

The nature of the room design, with large windows on the front wall, made it quite noisy when other guests were on the balcony and closed their room doors. It made it very difficult to sleep when people seemed to slam their door every hour. Also, there is no parking. It's even slightly difficult to get dropped off or picked up.

Nice hotel with a beautifull garden. It is situated almost in the heart of old city, something about 10-15 minutes walking to reach the Grand Palace and What Pho. Good situated for those who want to visit museums, temples and palaces. For shopping you should choose another district. Budget-friendly as I think it is a splendid choice for backpackers, shurely you can find some god-forsaken hole on KhaoSan road for less money, but after a day wandering in the Bangkok's stone-jungles i wished to sleep in a clean room with air condition and good shower ) Very friendly staff, always ready to help. Use their help when calling taxi, only when somebody from the staff calld a car i could go by meter. 7/11 shop in 5min from the hotel

actually i dont have any reason to blame this hotel. but somebody can find as a disadvantage: it is situated rather far from Sky Train, it will take you 10min to reach the nearest station by taxi. many posts told about taxists dont know the way to this small street, yeah it's true ) I solved this problem giving the phone number of the hotel to drivers, the staff told them the right way. Be carefull don't leave the hotel without it's visit card.

Beautiful hotel, perfectly clean, friendly staff, spacious room. Free sodas & snacks in the minibar along with water (although this and breakfast are apparently free for some rooms but not others, so beware). Great shower. Very quiet with a peaceful patio and courtyard. I was alone but the family rooms I could see looked very nice, too. Has a small bar and restaurant on the premesis, about a block from the nearest 7-11 store. Excellent location for the Bangkok marthon -- less than 2 blocks to start/finish.

While convenient for the marathon, the location isn't in a high-tourist area, but it's never hard to get a ride in Bangkok. Most taxis aren't familiar with it, so have the phone number with you so the driver can call for directions before you leave the train station.
