The staff were kind of nice.

I am not usually a complained and have never actually written a review but this place was not very good. I ended up at a beautiful hotel right near the night markets CH Hotel for not much more a night. Toilet wouldn't flush, about 30 flushes. Shower was barely a trickle, long walk to the main centre, room was very dated, the wardrobe was almost falling to pieces, a bit noisy the restaurant is pretty dangerous the floor is all levels that didn't bother me but thought it worth mentioning. I wouldn't stay again.

Had WiFi and air con, both of which worked for my short stay. Location is near bus station which helped for my earlier-morning bus - but NOT the five minute walk advertised. Probably more like twenty - I was lucky setting out that a songthaw pulled over to take me for 20 Baht, otherwise it would have been fairly torturous.

Safety-as a female solo traveller, I was not happy with the simple bolt lock as the only way to lock my ground-floor room when I was inside it. A second door led out of my room into the back of the property with an even weaker-looking lock. Did not feel safe at all, glad I wasn't staying more than one night.

Great spot right near town but far enough away also. Nice view of the river. Good kitchen and bar with a friendly and helpful staff.

The staff were nice and the male staff member (not the owner) was very helpful with showing us where to go on the map etc. The air conditioning worked really well.

There were a few things that could be improved. We booked a double room as we are traveling as a young couple but instead we got two single beds pushed together with single covers. This meant the beds would come apart if you lay near the gap, which was quite annoying. The wifi worked on and off in the room, but I guess the point of a holiday is not to sit on wifi all the time, but for when we were looking up our next accommodation or things to do it made it a bit difficult. Also the drain in the bathroom did not work, which we brought to staff attention and nothing was done about it, we had to fix it ourselves by using a flipflop as a plunger. Overall it was an ok stay but we ended up moving closer in to the city

Nice patio at the river (although the traffic noise and a factory on the other side of the river can be heard, so it's not as quiet as we imagined), spacious rooms - and even without the aircondition cool enough to sleep because of the brick walls. Free rental bikes, but only during the day.

Location means that you have to take a tuk-tuk every time you want to get to the city centre - or the free rental bikes - but these are only free during daytime until dusk!

    1. Never clean the Room! 2. Stuff was not warm as other hotels I stayed! Expect for a very kindly young Dutch girl! 3. Cockroach was found under my bed scared my wife! 4. No Bike renting after 6:00 PM. 5. No car renting! 6. No motorbike renting if you don't have drive license! 7. Too much noisy in hotel next door! Party every night! 8. No breakfast offer. 9. Far away from down town!

    Nice scenery on the river

Very noisy traffic makes it difficult to sleep. Windows do not completely shut or are just screens, so dirty outside air and noise gets in. Shower water only luke warm and weak pressure. Rental bikes are in bad condition and brakes do not work well. Food and drinks are very over-priced.

Big menu card Helpful staff Extra blankets when needed Music band on Sunday afternoon Free water for in the room Nice atmosphere when its dark

I went at the end of January and since it was so close to the river it was very cold at night. Their partner for bike rental are very slow at delivering the bike and if you want them to pick it up on a different place (closer) or just earlier they charge you extra

WiFi was a bit inconsistent, water pressure wasn't really strong

Location was excellent and very helpful staff. Somehow this location felt close to the center of chiang mai and still when sitting by ping riwer in the evening it felt peaceful and remote.

Ants in room, dripping AC and gnarly dog.

Loved the laid-back casual atmosphere. Staff are attentive friendly and make you feel at home. In fact Hollanda Montri felt like home away from home. Sewat is a gem.

Floor around bar/lounge needs attention. Boards rotting and gaps waiting for an accident but still it was in harmony with the place.

Everything! The owners and staff are so lovely, they treat you like guests to their own home rather than their business, and they can never do enough with you - including arranging reliable transport into the city centre and negotiating a better rate for car rental for us. If you want to relax, but be within a very short and cheap drive to the city centre, stay here! The bar/restaurant (amazing food by the way!), is really peaceful with beautiful views right next to the river and with the mountains in the distance. Its so gorgeous! Despite its riverside location you dont really get many mozzies because the staff are kind enough to light mosquito coils on your table as you eat or drink. The rooms are really spacious, clean and comfortable - which we werent expecting due to the very very reasonable price! It was so quiet at night that you could hear the sound of the wildlife outside - but don't worry if youre not a fan because the rooms all have those mesh bug shields over the doors and windows. We love it here and will definitely come back whenever we are in Chiang Mai!!!!!
