Nice location on Ping River.Friendly staff that can speak enough english to understand.Has it's own restaraunt with good cheap food.Great outdoor area Noisy at night time because of restaurant next door with live music, which may be a problem for people who retire early. However you get used to it
Kind & helpful staff and owners. Very clean. Shared fridge on each landing. Free water. Affordable restaurant with good atmosphere. Great location on river 500 metres from canoe club. Would stay here again. Excellent value in an overpriced city.
Downstairs room dark & dingy, with mosquitoes, however staff supplied me with a mosquito coil on the first night & moved me upstairs for the following 3 nights.
- laundry service - cheap - the garden and terrace
- small room - a lot of mosquitos because of the river - the bathroom is in the same time the shower room - no water pressure: i needed 1 hour to wash my long hair - verrrry verryy noisy during the night. Is on a main road with a lot of traffic. Next to the guesthouse there is another resto with live music till midnight. Early in the morning, around 5:30 you can hear the noise of the traffic. I couldn't sleep at all. - the food of the resto mediocre - the owner almost didn't address us a word...she barely answer to our hello in the morning. Unwelcoming. Not what you expect in a guesthouse. Nevertheless she was extremely nice with Dutch persons because she is speaking Dutch... - way too far from the city...you need to take a tuk tuk - we moved closer to the city in a hotel much better for a similar budget
The staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for you if needed. Nice location next to the river. Kind of far out but not a problem to walk okay for the night bazaar markets outside of the old city quite far to the old city walls though
The location on google maps on booking.com is wrong so we ended up having to walk some of it with our heavy backpacks which was annoying.
The staff were kind of nice.
I am not usually a complained and have never actually written a review but this place was not very good. I ended up at a beautiful hotel right near the night markets CH Hotel for not much more a night. Toilet wouldn't flush, about 30 flushes. Shower was barely a trickle, long walk to the main centre, room was very dated, the wardrobe was almost falling to pieces, a bit noisy the restaurant is pretty dangerous the floor is all levels that didn't bother me but thought it worth mentioning. I wouldn't stay again.
Had WiFi and air con, both of which worked for my short stay. Location is near bus station which helped for my earlier-morning bus - but NOT the five minute walk advertised. Probably more like twenty - I was lucky setting out that a songthaw pulled over to take me for 20 Baht, otherwise it would have been fairly torturous.
Safety-as a female solo traveller, I was not happy with the simple bolt lock as the only way to lock my ground-floor room when I was inside it. A second door led out of my room into the back of the property with an even weaker-looking lock. Did not feel safe at all, glad I wasn't staying more than one night.
- River side restaurant was relaxing - Room was old but clean
- shower room could be improved a little bit
Great spot right near town but far enough away also. Nice view of the river. Good kitchen and bar with a friendly and helpful staff.
The staff were nice and the male staff member (not the owner) was very helpful with showing us where to go on the map etc. The air conditioning worked really well.
There were a few things that could be improved. We booked a double room as we are traveling as a young couple but instead we got two single beds pushed together with single covers. This meant the beds would come apart if you lay near the gap, which was quite annoying. The wifi worked on and off in the room, but I guess the point of a holiday is not to sit on wifi all the time, but for when we were looking up our next accommodation or things to do it made it a bit difficult. Also the drain in the bathroom did not work, which we brought to staff attention and nothing was done about it, we had to fix it ourselves by using a flipflop as a plunger. Overall it was an ok stay but we ended up moving closer in to the city
good staff and environment is really nice，near the river，peace and comfortable
far from downtown
Nice patio at the river (although the traffic noise and a factory on the other side of the river can be heard, so it's not as quiet as we imagined), spacious rooms - and even without the aircondition cool enough to sleep because of the brick walls. Free rental bikes, but only during the day.
Location means that you have to take a tuk-tuk every time you want to get to the city centre - or the free rental bikes - but these are only free during daytime until dusk!
1. Never clean the Room! 2. Stuff was not warm as other hotels I stayed! Expect for a very kindly young Dutch girl! 3. Cockroach was found under my bed scared my wife! 4. No Bike renting after 6:00 PM. 5. No car renting! 6. No motorbike renting if you don't have drive license! 7. Too much noisy in hotel next door! Party every night! 8. No breakfast offer. 9. Far away from down town!
perfect location for relaxing! and their jazz session on sunday is super cool!
Very friendly and helpful
nice bar area, helpful staff and very fast wifi.
the room was kinda basic but alright for the price. and it was a bit noisy in the morning.
Beautiful location and helpful staff.
Very basic accommodation, hard bed, no soap in the bathroom.
Nice scenery on the river
Very noisy traffic makes it difficult to sleep. Windows do not completely shut or are just screens, so dirty outside air and noise gets in. Shower water only luke warm and weak pressure. Rental bikes are in bad condition and brakes do not work well. Food and drinks are very over-priced.
Big menu card Helpful staff Extra blankets when needed Music band on Sunday afternoon Free water for in the room Nice atmosphere when its dark
I went at the end of January and since it was so close to the river it was very cold at night. Their partner for bike rental are very slow at delivering the bike and if you want them to pick it up on a different place (closer) or just earlier they charge you extra
Clean Tour desk Location Most staff very nice.
Mosquitos Noisy Fan Leaking Toilet Double bed is 2 singles together Uncomfortable WiFi turned off to rooms when owner forces people to use cafe wifi and spend money. Food expencive ... All guests go local cafes.
Many lizards on the wall， so cute！
the luxury room has no window the toilet faces the bed...
Friendly & fun staff, nicely situated by the river
The room got cleaned only every 3 days, bad wifi, owner not very helpful, bad smell coming out of the toilet pipes
-15 mins walk to night market, 20 to old city - Very friendly, helpful staff
- Not reliable internet because the router power connection is loose. - A bit overpriced restaurant
Very helpful staff, good location by the river, 15min walk from old town. Nice breakfast at reasonable prices.
WiFi was a bit inconsistent, water pressure wasn't really strong
Location was excellent and very helpful staff. Somehow this location felt close to the center of chiang mai and still when sitting by ping riwer in the evening it felt peaceful and remote.
Ants in room, dripping AC and gnarly dog.
