Facilities and the gardens are amazing.
The location is out the city in the country side, but it is not that bad. I still like this beautiful hotel
We had a snake in our room, but this was smoothely solved by (anxious) staff.
You need to pay extra for wifi internet. Clearly not something you expect anymore these days! Even in guesthouses and budget hotels it is free. Breakfast was extensive but not included in the price.
Absolutely nothing to complain about. Food was good. Service very good.
That we only had 2 nights & not a lot longer.
Shuttle bus service from airport and downtown
Mosquito problem serious
The living environment is very quite and comfortable. The room is big
It will be better if there is bath as well as shower in the washroom.
Botanical gardens. Room by pool. Bus to town. Abacus coffee shop.
Impact on hotel with shift to conference trade - breakfast lost it's appeal, totally. Increase in general noise levels.
Wide space with Botanical garden, rock garden, small zoo and children play ground.
The staff were friendly and night bus to market was a saviour for getting into central town. Beautiful grounds of hotel. Nice pool.
My 3 year old son accidentally broke a plate at breakfast and we were charged 200 that which I thought was extortionate. Staff were sympathetic but not willing to forgo the price. Location is quite far out of centre so its OK if you want to lounge round the pool and not do anything else. 2 of the 3 restaurants on offer were closed as it was quiet, no bar. Food on offer in the one open was not great. Ordered room service one night which resulted in a major farce due to language issues but finally did get the right food so not too much of an issue.
Room was clean and the bathroom had nice fittings and towels. As 97% of the time the bed was hard like a floor but their was plenty of cuisons and an extra pillow
Access to the Botanical gardens was restricted. The bikes were not for use without hire at high rates and in poor condition. Most requests had to be followed through with lots of waiting time. The statement "The transport is coming" can and did mean it was coimg but it could be anytime in the next 30 minutes to 4 hours. Crazy logic usual all over Asia.
Pool Breakfast Beauty of Facilities Botanic Garden
extra fee for Wi-Fi Information and Welcome at the beginning
Very large grounds with many flowers and fauna. Also animals.
Luke warm water in shower at best. Internet that didn't work, but they insisted on charging me. Shower head only fixed above, not really suitable for children. Raining caused water leak in the room. Two of the thee swimming pools were closed. Feeling of a 2 or 3 star hotel only
Horizon Village is a great hotel. Great botanical garden, nice pool, clean rooms, friendly staff, quiet and peaceful.
No bath tube. Hot water is not stable in the shower.
Unclean, bed bugs, one of the worst breakfast I ever had e.g. multiple big pieces of egg shell in pancakes. I hurt myself when a wooden plank on a bridge broke. Worst hotel I have been in a long time.
