Relaxing setting, beautiful pool area, quiet location away from Hustle bustle of Chiang Mai.
Walls were paper thin and can hear the person in next room breathe!
- brilliant swimming pool - nice garden - permanent presence of a competent and helpful trip adviser - pretty room with excellent air conditioning - slightly remote compared the busy city
- poor noise isolation between 2 rooms, as a consequence risk to be annoyed if room neighbours are a bit to drunk and/our speak loudly - breakfast is ok but no variance. When staying several days it gets monotone
The pool is really good. The gardens are nice and the space is very peaceful.
We stayed for about 10 days and the shared bathrooms were cleaned once that we noticed. As you can imagine, having dozens of people shower, brush their teeth, etc in the same space, it can became dirty pretty quickly, and apart from the day they were cleaned, the bathrooms were disgusting. During our entire stay, there were two toilets that were leaking and wasting gallons of water, and even though we communicated this to the staff it was not solved. This is not eco at all. Wifi crashed all the time, which made FaceTime and Skype a challenge.
The swimming pool is amazing and the room is simple but comfortable. The breakfast is also great. Is not close to the old city but you can rent bikes in the hotel also.
Swimming pool where you can really swim, nice park and rich breakfast served in a pleasant barn.
We stayed at imm eco a couple of years ago, and had a great memory of it, even if at that time, the swimming pool had some technical problems and the water turned green. This is the reason why we decided to stay there this time again. Last time we had a superior room for only 17€ and this time, we paid more than double this price for a room of lower quality having only 2 bath towels and not one small serviette, no hair dryer, no safe in the room and the soap quality and size are simply not worth mentioning. As this time the hotel was fully booked, we had a neighbour who unfortunately had a cold, and when she was sneezing or couphing, it was just as if she was in our room. The walls are terribly thin, and the aircon was loud at night, so we had to turn it off. The 2 first mornings, the service at breakfast was simply unefficient, and you had to ask for almost everything starting from the plates, water, knives, toast, fruit etc... The lady didn't even reply but simply disappeared and after some time she would bring you what you asked for. On the second day, we thought of leaving imm eco, and i was complaining personnally to the lady on duty at breakfast and at the reception and the days after the service had improved a lot. As we were pretty cold at night, we asked for an additional blanket at the reception and we were told" sorry, we are fully booked and do not have any spare blanket, come back tonight we might have one" As the lady knew where our room was, she could have arranged for a blanket that day or a next day, but nothing happened and we were fed up having the feeling we demand too much. We were told the management has changed since and that imm eco is a budget hotel.... Well yes, we presume this is true. The concept presumably is to attract young backpackers whose pretentions are not too high and who are not seeking comfort.
The grounds are nice and the pool is big. Breakfast is great for the price. I LOVED the pancakes. Close to Sunshine School of Massage. Less than a 10 minute walk
The front staff especially the manager was not very helpful. I stayed here 16 days and realized on day 14 the mosquitoes were not eating me alive it was bed bugs. Day 15 they sprayed my room with no changes. Day 16 I changed rooms after I complained. First hearing they had no rooms for me to move to. My last day was spend rewashing and drying everything I bought and brought with me. I asked the manager to pay for it. She seemed bothered by my request but did it. I would have preferred my last day a bit more relaxing and would have been kinder with my review as I love the property. The managers reaction to my bed bugs was borderline helpful. They should have done more, comped some of my stay, moved me quicker. I know it was bed bugs as I ended up going to 3 pharmacies for help and researched it once I knew what was going on. Bed bugs can be anywhere. Educate yourself so that you can be proactive if you suspect they are in your room. I learned a good lesson.
Wifi was good, rooms were clean. We paid for a 4 bed dorm and received a 2 bed which was great.
Location was out of the city centre but within walking distance. Staff were sometimes not very frinedly and helpful when contacting excursion operators.
Very natural and ecological environment and nice safety guard who greets at you every time when you go and come back. Big swimming pool and other facilities such as table tennis and fitness. Dorm room and shared bathroom are clean and tidy.
The receptionist is not very patient and kind.
Friendly staff, great pool and nice relaxed atmosphere.
Quite and nice! Swimming pool is fantastic!
