General atmosphere was very good and the staff always pleasant and very helpful

A little off the beaten track would have been excellent if location slightly better but using tuk tuk was easy enough to get to proper shopping facilities.

We were nicely surprise when we got into our room. The suite was unbelievable - very comfortable and spacious. Hosts were friendly and chatty and their tiny dog was amazing. We enjoyed the pool and breakfast on the balcony. Staff was helpful too.

The place is a bit outside the city and it takes about 40min walking to get to the centre and about 20min by tuk tuk (or longer cause not many of them know where the place is). Also, the Night Bazar mentioned in the ad is not the famous big bazar but the local one that is also worth visiting.

Room is characterful and comfort with a beautiful garden.

It's unpleasant for me to stay here, even only 1 night. 1.Bad location, driver costs 2 hrs to find this place and force us to pay 400B for the taxi fee even we fix the price before!!! 2.No air-con in hall, so it's extremely hot and can't stay even 1 minute. 3.Not treated well as expected. 4.Bad network connection. 5.Nowhere to have a dinner, we walked 15 minutes then found 7-11 to buy fast food to eat eventually. Never came back.

Awesome room, tastefully and exquisitely designed in Thai style. Room was actually more like a small apartment with a separate bedroom, beautiful terrace on which to enjoy breakfast and drinks. Super friendly atmosphere of the hotel, only 5 rooms which share a common good size swimming pool. The hotel gave us a free lift to the airport on our last day. The owners are friendly, charming and welcoming. They even treated us to free drinks while waiting for a tuk-tuk one night. Very clean! We will certainly come back. We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel!

It is not in the center of Chiang Mai, that is what we wanted but for some people it may be a problem.

Beautiful small place a bit outside of the whirling old city life, beautifully decorated and styled by ist swiss-thai owners, super friendly personnel, lovely room

Google gives the wrong location of Lamduan Homestay (and uses the old name 'jackyshow', but it helps to search for 'Boutique Hotel Chiang Mai') at its Internet map, but Lam, the owner, promised to try to change that immediately.

Interestning room design, not that far from old city

I booked four and a half month before the trip and asked for a Thai or Burma room. There was no reply. Finally right before the trip (after I sent them an email again) I got assured that they prepared Thai AND Burma room. Upon arrival I was told that I will stay two nights in Thai and two nights in Burma room. It was weird, but I said ok. The day I had to move into the other room I was on an excursion till late evening, so my bags were moved into Japanese room. And there were no excuses. So whatever room you book is not guaranteed.

The owners were extremely friendly and the room was so much more than we expected. The pool and outside area was very relaxing and comfortable. And this has got to be the cleanest place I have stayed in on my Thailand travels. Mi the dog is amazing and very fun to play with.

In the Switzerland room there was no tv in the bedroom but that's being picky because I like to watch to tv when I go to bed.

It was the best hotel of our trip in Thailand!!! Lam, Jack and all the staff was very polite and atencious. We had just a couple days, and Lam took care of everything, tours, transfer, took us to a very nice restaurant to dinner, etc. I had a sprained ankle during my ride with elephants, the staff provide medicine at the drugstore to help me with this problem. And because of this we had dinner at the homestay, where Jack cooked the best fish we ate in hole Thailand! I have no words to thanks how much all the staff made our honeymoon very special!!! We recommend a lot to stay at this hotel!

We have read all the good reviews but when we arrived, it was more than we were expected. Big room with king bed, balcony with pool view, HUGE shower in glass, a bar, 2 big plasma tv (1 in the room and 1 in the living room). Very clean. Staff very friendly. You can choose 3 different breakfast, we tried the smallest one (toasts, home made jam, fruits, home made fruit juice, very good coffee, dessert). The owner is from Switzerland so he speak French and English and his wife is Thai so it's very useful to book activities. They are so nice, they helped us plan our activities. Everything was perfect! We would recommend it to all our friends and family for sure!!

The room, swimming pool, and facilities there are great and beautiful, very decent decorations, love it a lot. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. The lady there was very friendly, helpful and talkative. Enjoy much to stay there.

The mattress was a bit too soft. And the location is a bit far from main town, few restaurants/ shops nearby. Some of the day tour refuse to pick us up from it. However, it’s easy to take tuk-tuk in cheap price (around 120 Baht) to go in the city. Strong recommend for groups of friends.

Lam and Jackie went out of their way to accomodate us. The french breakfast was fantastic! The staff were very friendly. Lam is extremely helpful in assisting with bookings and recommendations for tour, massages etc. I would definately stay here again.

The homestay is really great, the boss and the staff are very enthusiastic and gave me a lot of travel itinerary suggestions for my trip in Chiang Mai. Also, they provide lots of help during my traveling. The room was clean and large, I ordered two rooms, one is Japanese type and another is Swiss type, and many of the details of the a room reflects the care and understanding of each country's culture by Jackey and Lam. Breakfast have Thai food and French type, taste great and variety is very rich. I am pretty love French type breakfast. Environment layout is also very romantic, is the best choice for couples. Mi, is a very cute dog, he was adding to our trip a lot of fun. Before we left, Jacky gave my daughter a big surprise. Thanks for your lovely gift. Definitely, I will book again this hotel when I back to Chiangmai.

We spent some amazing time here. From the moment we were greeted by Lam at the airport we felt we were lucky to have chosen this oasis in Chiang mai. It feels better than home, we were treated like royalties and loved like friends, Lam and Jacky the owners are two very special people and make evryone feel special is a gem of a place and we highly recommend this place. Lam even organised a day tour for us where she joined us personally in her own lovely car, what more can you ask be treated like friends:) thanks Lam and Jacky you now have a special place in our heart and we think of you first when we think of Thailand, as you stand out above the rest !!!thumbs up!!!
