Location and condition of room...stone bed and pillow, dark and dirty "balcony"..dusty windows. So, price=condition of room.
They call it "Junior House" to project a youthful attitude. Tata and Jeffrey immediately engage you with smiles. They hosted a Christmas BBQ, and helped with all our needs for getting around in Chiang Mai. Inexpensive and 2 blocks away from Wat Chiang Man.
The free wifi was frustrating. The guest house was full at high season, so there may have been too many devices to let us connect.
Nice Staff, good location. Low price
The water in the shower, the bed sheets, the WiFi didn't always work
Location staff free pick up from town on arrival
Had to buy your own toilet roll bed was hard Cigarette burns in the bedding
Friendliness staff I met on my travels. It just made this place so much more enjoyable. Felt like I was at home! The hostel was great value for money, clean with fast wifi (hard to come across).
I can't say a bad thing about this place except for the pillows were rock hard and uncomfortable.
Tata - the guy at the reception was absolutely amazing. He was very helpful, recommended to us great elephant trip and spoke brilliant english. Very tasty banana pancakes for breakfast. Good position - in walking distance to the centre.
the staff here is very helpful, always able to help you find what you want.Location is also good, located in the old city and not far from the Sunday Market, 600B per room per night is a very good value for money in the old Chiang Mai
the facilities are a bit old
Staff are extremely welcoming and helpful. Right near everything you need would highly recommend staying here if in chang mai.
Rooms are very basic and dated
It's true you get what you pay for. The amount you paid was worth more than you imagine. Staff are are really friendly. They arrange the tours for you and pick the ones that suit your needs and provide maps etc upon arrival. Rooms are quiet and near the main sites. They make sure you feel part of the family. Rooms are clean, tv and ac work properly and toilet paper soup and water all included. What else can you ask for.
That I did put stay longer
staff is verry helpful, they know answer for every question:-), Tata you are great! free transport from train station jaccuzi in the roof :-)) quiet place location in the old city center
nothing :-), i love that!
the staffs and the PIC, Mr. tata are very helpful person. it is near to the tourist place. When you arrive, Mr. tata will explaint to you how to get around and what to see. He is informative
Tata and Jeff from the staff were simply amazing during our six days stay. Very helpful, always trying to help (where to go to see the best of Chiang Mai, taxi, best place to exchange money and so on).Thank you guys, you made our stay despite the healthy problems we had (irritated apendix).
Friendly staff Nice breakfast Unexpectedly strong wifi signal
Rooms are a bit shabby Bed is not comfortable at all Bugs here and there Noisy backpackers
The beds where very ubconfortable but the staff was great! Very helpful and fun to be around, i would recomend this hostle to anyone going to the area!
Great staff + value for money
Wi fi not reluable. No locker in room!!
Good location in old city.
There are limited number of rooms with twin beds, had to take an non air-conditioned (fan only) room but weather was favorable so no problem
Location next to oldest Temple in Chiang Mai, good choice of eating places, friendly staff, very good value. If you want luxury and object to puce washbasins it's no good.
Decor of bathroom! Breakfast not up to much.
You get what you pay for, i.e. not much. However, for a little more, we got a lot better room around the corner. A place to be avoided.
Our room was mouldy and outright dirty. Large holes in mosquito nets, which in a malaria-risky area is a no-no. The only window of the rrom leads to the common staircase, which does not help tranquility of the place. Some of the staff was exceptionally impolite. Located in a soi (sidestreet) that lookes scary at night.
Location is very good close to locale market. If you wanna merit and give foods for monks in the morning is not that far. Staffs are helpful , friendly ofter helps inneed.
Room no 103. Toilet bow is mot really good. Smoking areas is on the front of entrance and customers are sited block to gate and smelling after smoked. If the owner I can approve this small problem but make sience must be perfect for guess home. Because I believe that I get what I paid. And I will go back there again to see anything better after I suggested. Sheers.
Our room was clean, spacious & very comfortable. It had air condition, fan and hot water working perfectly. The Guesthouse is in a quite zone, but near everything. The staff... is THE BEST!!! All of them (and specially Tata) are very kind and helpfull. If we come back to Chiang Mai, we'll return to Junior House!! It's a fantastic place to stay with an incredible staff!! Kop kun ka/krap!!! Esther & Joan ;-)
the staff is friendly
The location, close to everything but at a quite alley. The staff, willing to help everytime and always with a smile.
Very friendly and helpful personal.airport service. Clean and simple room.good budget option.
Hard mattress. Wifi not always available. Noisy.
The highlight of Junior House was the 'service with a smile' - I felt like part of the family. Also found 'JH' was great for booking trips etc - good advice with efficent service.
The hard pillows - but Im probably just a softy :)
No wifi in the room
