quiet street. bed and pillows were OK. some English channels on TV. staff were nice. food was OK.

the hotel needs a bit of a Make over in the public areas and in the keeping came and swept and Made bed. had to ask for toilet, sink and bathroom floor to be cleaned after 3 days.

The staff was extremely helpful and kind.

There was only one bedside lamp which made reading a bit difficult.

I like the location. It is a relatively quiet corner of the city. There is traffic on the street and early morning activity but unless you need total silence it is ok. Kamala's is located just a few steps away from the waters around the old city. I is a 40 Baht tuk tuk ride to the Kalare market. There are lots of restaurants around as well as little coffee shops. Plus, two 7-11's within a short walk. The lounge area is comfortable and relaxed. If you want food and drink you can have that too.

The WiFi is pretty bad. When it works it works fine but it cuts out often. A couple times during my stay it completely stopped working and nobody on site knew how to get it going. The system is definitely NOT up to a good standard. It was quite annoying and often frustrating. It is almost a deal breaker and caused me to consider another Guesthouse. The location is what would keep me. Kamala, upgrade your WiFi system and you will be a heaven to we who enjoy your style. Housekeeping in the rooms was rather limited to a light sweep and replacing towels or sometimes not. Take away dirty towels? Sometimes yes; sometimes no. Clean sheets? You had best have the twin beds and just switch beds. It is something Kamala can improve upon. These are just basic housekeeping activities.

We booked a standard double room. Rooms were clean. We had a safe and a desk. The staff was kind and helpful.

Maybe is good to know before that the room douse not have a window, but there is one in the bathroom. The sink is also in the room not in the bathroom. Sadly the room was badly soundproofed and the doors did not close very easy - so you could hear every door being slammed.

    Friendly staff

No hot shower. No hot pot to boil drinking water. Hard to find the location for first timer as it is located at a small street. A bit overpriced. Inconsistent wifi.

Friendly and helpful staff (the staff were excellent and always smiling). Location to old city and surrounding restaurants. The food served from the hotel was great.

Wireless Internet was a bit inconsistent (dropped out repeatedly).
