The Hotel is perfectly located in the Center of Chiang Mai. As soon as you are in the Hotel you don't realize that you are in the Center of a City. This is by the Way the only reason to spend the time in that location. An absolute no go is the Restaurant. Far below everything what we have ever seen! A lousy, dirty and bad organized Restaurant. Bad service, cold food and every Day the same. Service is only speaking Thai except the question fried egg. The Hotel is worn it is visible that the last refurbishment must have been years ago.

The swimming pool was very nice and clean .... Not being told the bottled plastic water in the room is charged at 20 bht per bottle when on the mini bar fridge door lon the glass bottles is 20 bht per bottle but on checking out had to pay 500 bht for water that I thought was free when I asked why I was told the glass bottle was free a so why would drink water you pay for when one is free ?? Sorry so I will not stay there again.....

The suite room is terrific! And the staff are nice and helpful. The location is also convenient, silent around but only 10 minute walk to Thapae Gate.

I'm not Gay though I said it is gay-friendly, hoping that this at least, is something good to say about the place. I guess it's the old story, you only get what you pay for, well in this case, you have paid a little to much. Hot breakfast should be as implied HOT, alas not even the tea or coffee was. The only thing hot, was the toast that you cook yourself. Is it really that hard to keep food, at least warm, this day & age?

Location was good just outside the old city walls but tucked away and very quiet. Pool and pool area/garden was very good The room was very dark with very few lights. We could not see to get ready or to read in bed. Also the electric sockets and wiring looked very dangerous, we kept having to push the front of one socket back on and the hair dryer was wired into the back of the socket. Staff were miserable and unfriendly apart from the little Thai man in the breakfast room and the lady that cleaned our room. Breakfast was basic and they seemed reluctant to replenish things For the money I think there are much nicer hotels!

Proximity to the old chiang mai city & temples, the pool ,lounge chairs, quietness and isolated feeling even though the city was close by Mattresses were uncomfortable, had to ask each day for tea /coffee as none was ever left in our room, no mlk available, shower curtain was stained with mould

Great location. Confortable accommodation. Family room was spacious. Kids loved the pool. Breakfast buffet was adequate. Some of the staff not very friendly. Coffee was awfull. Shower enclosure could have benefitted from a good scrub. Grounds a bit run down... Pool tiles broken or missing, pool towels frayed and in desparate need of replacement.

I liked everything in this hotel; very good value for money. Location was the best. Within walking distance of the old town and the night market and yet super quiet with a nice garden and swimming pool. More like a resort. Very helpful (english speaking) staff. Good breakfast. Will definitely return.

Staff were always helpful and friendly. Rooms were decorated more like a visitor would expect a hotel room in Thailand to be furnished, with a slight touch of elegance the bed canopy provided, also had a very inviting pool that was a welcome sight on warm days or before leaving the hotel for the evening Staff, decor of rooms, availability of pool that was big enough to accommodate hotel guest, and general location, close to at least two night markets I visited

Staff were fantastic - couldnt do enough, excellent suggestions and other help. The place was quiet, breakfast was great. Location was great close to the old city but not in it, close to other attractions ie night market Loi ?? Road etc. Definately stay here again - we had our 2 daughters 13 & 15 with us and they were very happy. Wi Fi was free. Taxi service right outside. Great price Great place

Location. Very close to all conveniences such as food stores, restaurants, bars, transport, etc yet a quiet hotel. Decor is old fashioned, carpets are stained, too many fabric dust accumulators in the room and you can find better value for money in chiang mai

We enjoyed our stay at Karinthip village. We were there at festival time and the hotel was within easy walking distance of Thaepae gate, where much of the action was taking place. Also easy to walk to the Markets. The laneways around the hotel are quiet and after the hectic trafiic on the main roads this was appreciated. The pool is a good size and the gardens well tended. The staff were friendly and very helpful. With the rooms opening up into the garden, the mozzies find their way in. A can of spray left in the room would have been an asset. We bought our own and needed to spray each night before turning in.

The location was fantastic - within easy walking distance to the Ta Pae gate and the river. Great for watching parades, and sending off kratongs and lanterns. The outside space of the hotel was great - lots of places to lounge by the pool, and covered areas with tables, chairs and daybeds. Plenty of space in the restaurant too. The staff was very friendly, and would get anything we asked for. The pictures on the brochure made it look nicer than it was.The family room didn't have the Lanna-style antiques, no flat-screen TV, not enough space for 4 people to keep clothes in a dresser... No internet in the rooms, but it was available around the pool deck, in the lobby, and in the restaurant. Not a big deal, but, for some reason, we expected it throughout the hotel. Our sheets had some stains or holes on some days. The reception is open only 7am-12m. Our breakfast tickets said it opened at 6am, but we found out it was 6:30 on a day we needed to leave early. As I mentioned, the staff would get anything we asked for, but we had to ask. They didn't anticipate checking things like batteries for the TV or AC remote, or giving us new shampoo or soaps during our 6-night visit.
