Kata Ocean View Residences  

The rooms and facilities were very nice,The pool was refreshing .The staff was very helpful and friendly. They had all the utensils for a condo/apartment.They did offer taxi service to the airport 840 bht .

Its about a little over 1 mile from Kata beach.They do have free shuttle service between 10-4,you have to pay coming back.The office closes after 6pm,so if your flight comes in after that you have to pay a 1000 bht fee for them to register you ,"if you can get to speak to them because they don't have a answering service".The condo and that's what it is a condo doesn't offer a clothes iron which I thought was strange considering they have cooking utensils etc.I Was told I can by one cheap for 1200 bht at Big c .I was only staying 1 week at just under 4000 a day.I Love to walk and I considered walking to the beach but this is impossible for my wife and daughter(16).The roads don't have sidewalks .I was told to rent a bike by the staff, when I was there .I'm very scared to ride a bike in Thailand and especially in Phuket.I Won't pay to rent a car either for the same reason.They can arrange for a taxi but this can be expensive. I ended up renting a bike for 200 bht a day and my wife drove the three of us to the beach. The food market is about 5 miles away in Chatong she was scared to drive the distance.I Went to the office several times but they were on break they don't answer the "call this number sign" on the door.You can get a took took if you flag them down on Patak Rd .Kata Beach is beautiful with many restaurants.the condo didn't have anything close by.This is a "long term facilitiy" ,if you are considering on living there less then a month don't go "its quite expensive"
