Katathani Phuket Beach Resort

Right on the beach - 15mins south of the commercial beaches - this place is better than the Hyatts, Mariotts, Holiday Inn, Movenpik, etc of Phuket -- If you are looking to unwind, read a book by the poolisde from where you can see the beach and hear the waves while you get a foot massage from the hotel staff for $15/half hour -- This is only place for you!

They are not very adjusting in giving freebies or room upgrades, spa discounts even for special occasions like honeymoon, anniversary, etc

The beach is the only thing i have liked, the staff are friendly...

We have booked a suite , the room is not worth the value, cause the smell in every room is very mucky i have checked different rooms cause I was not happy about it, i think people with allergies or asthma will not be able to sleep....

the hotel is very nice for relaxing near the beach, the staff and food are gr8. the pool designed fantastic.

the rooms quite small for families. and the net price needs to be concidered. the location quite far from the shopping area.

The location is great, its close enough to town but just far away enough to have a relaxed beach holiday. The staff are friendly and very accommodating and the hotel is busting with great facilities.

the beach is very nice, but the hotel realy needs some update

rooms smell ugly, everything is old and very used, breakfastlounge is like one at the airport and not very huge. after the second night we changed the hotel

the hotel location, calm,romantic, natural, relaxing, makes you feel happy all the time, birds, sea, swimming pools, just great and fantastic.

food as we dislike thai food.

The beachside location was lovely. Also it was on a quiet street so there was no issues with noise. The breakfast was lovely and there was a choice of two restaurants to eat breakfast at. There was also about 4 swimming pools which meant that pools weren't overcrowded. There's an excellent indoor children's play which was v. useful when it rained.

I'd say generally the hotel was lovely. I think the rooms were just slightly too small especially for families.

Min kone og jeg likte rommet veldig godt, stort og fint med god garderobeplass. Vi hadde rom vendt mot bakhagen som bestod av et stort svømmebasseng med solsenger rundt, nydelig beplanting og palmer som ga skygge. Frokostbuféen var av god kvalitet og utvalget stort. Restaurantene på hotellet var også verdt et besøk, og servicen var god overalt. Fint også med svømmebasseng og solsenger på/rett ved stranden. Muligheten for å få massasje, fotpleie etc mens man lå på solsengene er også et pluss. Flott med helsestudio på området.

Jeg synes vel at hotellet kunne gi sine gjester fri internettilgang.

Das Hotel liegt in angenehmer abgeleger Entfernung vom Phuket Rummel. Es ist eine weitlaeufige, gut gepflegte Hotelanlage mit sehr schoenen Pools und auch das Fitness Center war ganz ok. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, kompetent und hilfbereit und dabei immer sehr unaufdringlich. Die Restaurants in der Naehe vom Katathani sind fuer eine gute Abwechslung auch gut und in der Fishermen's Warf hat es uns auch sehr gut geschmeckt und bei gutem Wetter (wir waren in der Monsunzeit dort) ist dieser Ort traumhaft. Auch fuer einen Urlaub mit kleinen Kindern ist das Katathani sehr gut geignet.

Baustelle(n) nebenan, die aber nicht durch Laerm gestoert haben. Die Unmengen von (Plastik)Muell, der taeglich am Strand angespuelt wurden und nur sporadisch oder gar nicht weg geraumt wurde. Der Thani Wing, den wir zunaechst gebucht hatten hat uns viel weniger gefallen, als die Junior Suiten im Buri Wing, die nur unwesentlich teuer, aber um Welten besser waren, z.B. haben alle Zimmer einen direkten Blick auf's Meer.
