We got stuck out in the Jungle for near 24 hours during a trek, after we got caught in heavy rain, flash floods, and land slides, we were finally rescued by a rescue team and returned back to the hotel at just past 5am. The reception is not 24/7, and we had lost the room key in the chaos during our time stuck in the rain forest so we were locked out of our room. There wasn't even a number to call. So after what was probably the worst experience of my life, we had to sit outside the room, battered bruised and dehydrated, wet and filthy, covered in leech bites, waiting for somebody to turn up and let us into our room.
The bungalow was good, but over priced. You get a fridge, aircon and hot water for the price, but it doesn't stop the electricity going down for extended periods. Location is close to ONE of the park entrances. If you are mostly interested in the lake trip, note that the lake is a 1.5 hour drive away, so you can probably find a hotel closer and cheaper to the main reason for your stay.
