Bathroom 1floor down. The female bathroom was on our floor. They should make it unisex.
friendly, cheap, clean
The staff in the hostel were so polite and friendly and made you feel at home. Although there was not much of a selection for breakfast it was nice to be able to get some toast eggs and coffee included and it comes in handy if you are on a tight budget. The room was very clean and had a good sized fridge and they leave 2 bottles of water for you everyday in the room
The only negative I would have is the location is not very central. We were staying in chiang mai mainly to do activities like trekking, zip lining etc. So the location didn't matter for these but if you were heading for a night out it was about a 30 minute walk to the main part of the nightlife. In terms of feedback it would be great if the bathrooms were unisex as it was a pain having to go downstairs every time you needed to use the bathroom (1 floor was male the other floor female) there was a drinks fridge in reception which was good but it would be great if there was also some snacks for when you were hungry. Finally I don't know if it was the hostel or the taxi driver but the taxi to the airport was 300baht - pretty expensive considering it was less than 10 minutes drive away - to put this into context the day before we had a taxi driver who brought us to tiger Kingdom waited outside then brought us to a tailors and then back to the hostel - 3 and a half hours in total and only wanted 400 baht
The owner is a Korean couple and very nice! One day we brought take away good to the hostel and asked them to lend us some bowls. We can eat in their living room, which is also the reception. And they even washed the bowls for us. The cat is very lovely and lazy. I like the way f DIY breakfast. But it would be great if they have milk. There is a Richard's motorbike rental nearby and then owner is very nice and gives reasons able motorbikes, which are in quite good condition. I even for a Yamaha and being the first one to ride it!
The location is not good. Outside of the old city, but in a small lane. I has trouble explaining to tuktuk driver every time. The price of around 20$ for a double room but without toilet is very expensive.
Family run, very friendly atmosphere. Owners couldn't do enough for us, we rented bikes when we had a free day from them to explore the city (40baht each). Breakfast simple but fine to start your day. Laundry service not far away which was cheap and had quick turnaround
It was about a 10 minute walk from the south of the old city which doesn't seen far but in 35 degree heat is a long way. Also tuk tuk drivers need to be directed as they can't seem to understand where it is even when shown on a map. No safety deposit box, shared bathroom on seperate floors
nice beds, clean bathrooms, good breakfast (fried eggs + toast), friendly stuff
location is not the perfect one
Loved the place and the owners, had sooo much fun over there. By far one of my best hostels during my Thailand trip.
Staff very helpful and welcoming. Dormitory bed nice, inside well decorated. Dorm beds have private light and electric socket. Staff extremely helpful in booking tours and dispensing advice about places within walking distance to see/eat. Bed and pillow very comfortable.
Mosquitoes everywhere - strongly recommend buying insect repellent before arriving and maybe spraying even at night if you are prone to get bites. Shower facilities on the first floor too basic and also do nothing about the mosquito situation. Location a little out of the way. Dormitory was a bit squished for room. Perhaps more room for drying clothes/clothes hangers? Also, maybe some dorm rules for lights-out and quiet hours would be good.
Owners are so helpful with everything they were the best! Breakfast was great. Very communal atmosphere which I liked. Room cleaned daily with fresh towel every day. Wifi worked great with no breaks. Safe area and a block from Saturday walking street and 10 min to Subday walking street.
Nothing really!!!!!!! It was really great! Of note though first floor bathrooms are outside but I didnt mind it was a full bathroom house outdoors hot water everything. It also prevents smelling inside. Maybe one thing is they can provide soap? But many places dont.
It's clean and quiet
A very friendly owner which from Korea. They are helpful enough to help whatever problem u face.
The bed of doom is so noisy
The couple who owns it is super nice and easy going. This is basically a homestay and the atmosphere is very relaxed. I loved the mini fridge which had a honor system self service with supermarket prices for water and chang. I had food poisoning while there and they were very tolerant of me messing up the bathroom (not much I could do with one toilet when it was coming out both ends at the same time) and cleaned up after me since I was not in a condition to do it myself.
The scented candles / incense in the lobby (for mosquitos I guess) made my head spin. One dorm is much nicer than the other.
It is very nice and clean. The room is very cosy and they are always patient to explain to you where to go and help you book the tour . The location is not bad. Nearby there is a coffee shop the Thai food tastes good and also not that expensive.
The staff were relaxed, friendly and extremely helpful, they helped us book trips and advised us on places to go and things to see and do. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The breakfast was very nice and the room was clean and comfortable with added extras like an electric mosquito repellent which was greatly appreciated. The multiple showers were great and they let us leave our bags there after we checked out and also have a shower when we got back. It was a great guesthouse and I would go there again.
Staff are really kind. Hot water in the shower with normal pressure. There is a park in the neighbourhood, just within the other side of the old towns wall. I especially loved the breakfast here because they have a saucepan to fry eggs. Warm food every morning! Yes! They are the best.
If I really have to highlight something: Beds are a bit noisy when you move around
The staff are so nice and considerate. The room is tidy and comfortable.
Everything is good. If I go to Chiang Mai next time, I would stay here.
Little noise when you turn your body on the bed.
Lovely and very helpful staff. Very clean everywhere! Good new beds and mattresses. The location is excellent if you rent a bicycle. Just a little bit out of the central square so very quiet and peaceful but only minutes away from everything. I ended up staying longer than what I had booked for.
In the showers and toilets (outside) some mosquitoes.
The staff (owners) are very kind, all wishes, complains (if any) are heard and in the best way they can. You can rent a bicycle at the guesthouse. The guesthouse is neaer to Nong Buag Phard Public Park.
The mats were not unwrapped, which made them noisy, but if it is mentioned them, I'm pretty sure they unwrap it. I was just lazy to ask...
This is one of the best places I stayed during my travels, I felt welcome from the moment I arrived there. Some Tuk Tuk drivers might have problems to find the place only by the name. Make sure you have the address and telephone number. For me the location was perfect, just a short walk to Wat Phra Singh and the Old Town, but very calm since there are no noisy bars around. The whole place is very neat, it's cleaned every day. I stayed in the dorm and fortunately it is totally lacking the prison-like atmosphere of many hostels... The room was colorful and spacious, everything is new and modern since the guest house was opened only a few months ago. There are large lockers, good mattrasses; each bed has a plug socket, a reading light and a curtain for some privacy. The modern air condition actually works instead of just producing noise. Hot showers, clean toilets... The common area is small but cosy, they have games, a fridge, free Wifi, bike rental. Make sure you don't miss the included breakfast and make your own scrambled eggs in the sunny garden! Good opportunity to socialize with other travellers as well. But the best is definitely the people. The owners, a couple from Korea, are such warm, honest, helpful and friendly folks who always have a smile and good advice for you. They will do anything to help and make you feel comfortable but still seem relaxed and easygoing. Also had incredible fellow travellers at the hostel - the place seems to attract the right people. The place made my stay in beautiful Chiang Mai even better, wish them all the best!
Near the airport, but far from downtown. Very kind, nice, polite staff. Clean room. Cheap price with self service breakfast. Recommended for backpacker!
No private restroom, only shared bathroom. Not good for family with old parents or small child. Bed was made from wood so it was so noisy when we're moving on the bed, also to the floor. Can easily hear the sound from outside of the room like door slamming, people talking.
owner are really nice ,comfortableand clean
bathroom is in first floor and outside .and always have to wait when we need take shower
Staff were very professional and friendly, the hostel was super clean and staff were thorough with everything, including making me feel welcome... A real gem!
This hostel is one of the best I've stayed in throughout Thailand. Staff we so helpful, amazing service.
