We booked a Kirikayan Suite which includes a living area with two balcony's, a kitchenette, restroom area with jacuzzi and a bedroom. Upon entering, we totally loved it at first sight. It was pretty disappointing to see a kitchenette with no pan for cooking. Who would expect that in a 4-5 star suite, upon inquiring from the hotel staff, they will tell you that everything is provided in the kitchenette 'but' the pan which you will have to rent from the hotel at 500 bhat per day. I have been staying at 5 star hotels with Kitchenette's and this happened to me for the first time. This was very silly as it didn't make any sense to us !!! One more thing. The lcd screen in the suite's living area should have been at least 40" wide.

Complete disappointment. Doesn't look anything like it does on the website. Stayed in the honeymoon pool villan, which offered everything but luxury. Paid upfront, so actually left the 'pool villa' to move to their sister resort for a day, then moved to an actual resort (four seasons). Do not book, you will be disappointed. Its hardly a 'resort'. You're better served not going at all. Old furniture, ac's not working properly, bathrooms dirty, indoor jacuzzi with insects, doors don't close properly, etc. Recommend you stay away. Book Four seasons.

1. Our villa with pool was very nice and quiet 2. the facilities were very good. 2. We liked the friendlty and helpful staff 3. We liked the villas because it was nott in the busy chaewang area. Suggestions: 1. I think you should promote the restaurant better - special nights or food. Many guests will otherwise just always go somewhere else for dinner or lunch, even though the food was good ! 2. The shuittle bus. I'm sure there are reasons for the times eadh day. But I would suggest an 8.30am or 9am shuttle service - this means I can go the beach early before it gets too hiot. (Also, the 8pm service may ne too late for some guests with small children, so if you have many guests with young children ypu could suggest a 6pm shuttle for them) 3. It may be worth a service to another closer beach area - or some relationship with some restaurants that you recommend guests visit. 4. WE did not mind paying the $US10 sometimes for your vehicles to be taxis to fisherman village or other places. But I think some guests may not like this - some guests may feel the Villas are too far away from places, and this may limit the guests who stay again or recommend. So we liked out stay and would recommend to others ! glenn burge We didn't complain, biut there was bad smells from the bathrooms - the plumbing is I suspect not very good !

Liked the jacozy at the roof top of the penthouse we stayed in.. Free shuttle bus Insects.. Hundreds of them.. If you are welling to stay in this hotel prepare yourself to see a jungle not a hotel..you will be eaten alive if u dine in at the restUrant at night..it's 30 minutes away from the main beach by shuttle bus. You can't use the pool due to the insects flying in and out of it, we found a huge lizard in our room.

This was already our 3rd stay at the Kirikayan (Honeymoon Villa). Unfortunately one week of our two week stay was during the heavy floods at the end of March in Southern Thailand which finally ended in Thailand declaring state of emergency. The rain also caused problems in the first villa we stayed in, but the staff was very helpful in relocating us to another villa. Car adviseable. Recommend to run the Jacuzzi first time without using it as it seems that these are not used on a regular basis.

The staff was very attentive and warm. We felt at home. The Kirikayan Suite was more than we needed, with some nice decorating solutions (wc floor was filled with smooth small rocks). Nice balconies in both directions, very light suite. Breakfast was good. Welcoming drink and massages were nice surprised. Shuttle to Chaweng was very good to have (you could ask it to stop on the way where you wanted and have yourself picked up as well). Free transport to airport was also an unexpected surprise. The sister hotel's beach in Chaweng was nice, maybe a few extra sun chair wouldn't have hurted. The Maenam beach was at walking distance (15mins), but that beach wasn't the best, was very calm though. Small market at walking distance (5 mins) + tradition thai restaurant stands and bars at 10 min walking distance. We had an excellent stay and would gladly go back! The ploon was clean and beautiful. There was a pool table that you could use for 20 TBH per game. The bed was a bit hard. Nature could be heard from outside (one very loud insect!), but in general that was relaxing and soothing. One evening some other people were having a party downstairs, which could be heard also in our floor.

We stayed 4 nights in the pool villa and it was spaceous and beautiful. We loved the pool and the garden. Location was good too, 10 min drive to the beach and 20 min to Chaweng. Staff was very helpful and polite. We liked everything, especially after our disappointing stay at the Elements resort on the other side of the island

The level of accomodation was exceptional for the area and the room facilities were ideal for the length of our stay, with attention to detail placed on providing a good service at all times. The lack of english speaking staff, which at times proved a little difficult during our stay.

The villas are spacious and perfect for families. The staff was very nice and helpful. The location was perfect for us as it is away from the crowds and loud music from other resorts in Koh Samui. However, it was close enough to very nice restaurants, beaches and the party scene. Kirikayan is very peaceful. The staff was also amassing on New Year's Eve. They put on good show and the food was lovely. Storage is cruely missing in the bathrooms. We had nowhere to put our toiletries so everything stayed on the floor for our entire holiday. A few more hangers in the wardrobe would also be helpful. Not hugely impress with housekeeping. Cookies and fruits were supposed to be available every day but somehow disappeared after a couple of days. These little touches are what makes a 5 stars resorts... 5 stars. The Kirikayan is not 5 stars in terms of the service you get but it is good value for money in terms of the accommodation you get.

As an "older" couple (55!) we have stayed in very good to luxury accommodation in a variety of places but none compares to the kirikayan villas for the price paid. Also, money alone can not buy excellent service as this is down to the individual and collective attitudes of the staff and management which in this case was oustandingly good in terms of friendliness, politeness and ability. Excellent shuttle bus service to Chaweng that makes up for the relative isolation of the villas. Be wary of 'local' bars if sensibilities are easily offended. Good fun, friendly(!), wife and I loved them but did not buy the main commodity they were selling!!! No complaints whatsoever and reckon if we were wierd enough to go searching for them we would never find a reason to complain.

The staff were astonishingly helpful. The room was very spacious, well furnished, private, quiet, comfortable and very good looking. The private beach at the sister hotel in Chaweng was very relaxing. The meals were all good, with a wide selection of Thai, western and other Asian cuisines. It was quite a long walk along a road without a pavement to get to the nearest bars and shops, and an even longer walk from the beach. This wasn't a big problem as there was a free shuttle to Chaweng beach.

We hotel is not on the beach, which we knew at the time of booking. It is in a quiet location set in lush tropical gardens about 8 min. walk from the main road, (shops and restaurants). On Thursdays there is an evening market in Mae Nam, ask the hotel for directions. The infinity pool is superb with a stunning view of the tropical surroundings. The hotel runs a shuttle (20 min) to their sister hotel in Chaweng where guests are welcome to use the beach and all facilities. We would have appreciated a return shuttle around 6 pm as there is quite a long gap between 16.30 and 20.30. They also offer a free shuttle to and from tha airport. All staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable. There is a kitchen with tea and coffe making facilities and a fridge. Pots, pans and kitchen utensils are offered at an extra charge. The beds are quite hard so we aked for extra padding which was no problem at all and made a huge difference. The hotel provides mosquito plugs in the bedrooms which we really appreciated. We would have preferred the shower to be separate and not in the jacuzzi which proved to be quite akward to climb in and out. Breakfast could have been better, they should have offered a couple of authentic Thai dishes. All in all the hotel was a good choice for us, as we booked off-season at a reduced rate -- full price is not justified.

“I like almost anything , the rooms are very nice , clean, huge, very comfortable. The staf very friendly and speak English anouth to understand what we want. Pool very nice and big . The hotel have free shuttle to chaweng . Beach around hotel in my opinion the best beach in Samui , clean with white sand. The area is very nice and in left side of the hotel on the beach you have best Thai food plase ( old lady owned) in Changmon, very recommended. When you arrive to hotel ask for room class to the pool, other way you have to walk alot.” Itzhak, Tel-aviv |
