Just about everything! Friendly, welcoming, fairly laid back and easy to get around on the motorcycle. All in all, we had a lovely time. The staff at Lai Thai were excellent. Lovely with our children, warm, helpful and friendly. Thankyou!!
Traditional guest house well known by local ppl, easy to find. Staffs were helpful, gave me early check-in when I arrived in the early morning. Great to have swimming pool to enjoy after a long day. Value for money
Friendly staff, ability to book tours on site, wide range of food in restaurant , great pool & atmosphere
Great traditional thai rooms and wonderful clean swimming pool.
its location next to chiang mai gate and night bazaar,
the wifi inside the room almost nothing
comfortable, affordable & central
nice swimming pool, extra towel provided for swimming pool, rather large reception/bar area, free drinking water, close to airport, wi-fi access
old-fashioned, located bit off from the city center,
The waiters we're lovely!
There was one woman in particular that was very, very rude and disrespectful
The Location, the cleanliness.
Having to pay to use safe, being told I have to pay 1000 Baht if I lost the safe key. absolutely disgraceful. Cold shower, poor value for money. Bedroom too small and cramped, always stubbing my toe on the bed.
The pool was the best feature. Good location, lots of food options nearby. Find the. "Cool bar", very unusual, good wine.
Rooms and bathroom very small, halls dark.
Location to the old city. The pool is wonderfully refreshing after a day in Chiang Mai. The staff were friendly and the housecleaning services were great
Motorscooters which we like to rent at each guesthouse we stay at were old and we ended up renting up the road at another location. They might want to upgrade their fleet of motor scooters.
reception people very nice
Waiter try to get 100 thb more. And when I say what, he say right Price. I feel bad with that.I see one man say the same as I do before here on danish-
Good food at reasonable prices. Clean inexpensive rooms. Close to the old city. Staff friendly and helpful. Loved our stay in your city and would recommend your guesthouse to friends.
People leaving their towels to reserve chairs all day. Guest house is not really close to the Tha Pae gate as advertised, It is quite a long walk. Smoking should not be allowed anywhere near the restaurant or pool area,
location， swimming pool
The location was good.
The room was way too small. The lay out of the bathroom didn't make any sense. The door couldn't even open entirely, because it was ther wasn't enough space between the door and the sink. Also we had to "squeeze" ourselves in between this small space to get to the toilet.
Terrible room. Terrible place. To be avoided if you can. We found much better places also in the city center at a comparable price.
Sun loungers and swimming pool a real bonus for the price. Close to old city and night market. Plenty of hot water, wifi very good. Great value for money, we paid around £50 for 3 nights in a twin room.
On a busy road so a little noisy. Breakfast items skimpy & overpriced so we ate elsewhere.
The staff was really rude and the food was very nasty and disgusting. I only ate lunch there and the food was raw and I nedt to be the whole day in the toilet after it. I nedt a taxi at 4 am and they said to me literally that is my problem and they are not there to call taxis for me. I had to pay 3 us dollars extra to change to a room with wifi when i booked via booking a a room with wifi. They rejected to give me a room with wifi and the wifi was very poor. When I opened my door a rat was on the top of my bed, it left...but i called the reception and they started laughing at me. The toilet was very dirty and stinky, no toilet paper... Is probably the worst place I've never been in all my life. If u wanna enjoy your time in Chiang Mai go to somewhere else...I stayed in Mercure and was amazing.
Great location. Near to the old city and markets. Friendly staff. Reasonably priced breakfasts available.
location near old city...
very noisy !!! all nights...
Near old town Near Noght Market
Wifi not in rooms on 2nd floor Hotel restaurant not clean
Good location close to old city and night markets with both in easy walking distance
Dark rooms which are very noisy as they all face the pool and the road is very busy even late at night. Food was relatively expensive and laundry was very expensive much cheaper up the road.
The ladies behind the front desk were helpful. That is the only good point.
We should have known when we were asked to pay in full for the 6 nights on arrival with" no refund " stamped in red on the receipt. We checked out after the second night and wrote the money off. The other guests consisted of big groups of backpacking lads or old single men. Nobody smiled. The rooms were tiny and outdated. Noise from surrounding rooms was unbearable......never again.
Public areas were clean, attractive and well-cared for. Swimming pool and sun loungers were good. Location was a short walk from main part of town. Room and bathroom was clean.
Staff were unfriendly, not even a smile. Was handed a breakfast menu whilst the waiter looked away from me. 10% service charge on all food and drink - which wasn't deserved. Only one plug socket in room. Electricity automatically operated the light therefore could not use the bathroom light at night without turning on the bedroom light and could not charge anything overnight. No bottles of complimentary water - usually standard in Thailand at even the cheapest guesthouses. Very overpriced for the very basic room, you pay for the pool.
Good location beside the moat and not far to walk to night market. Good to have option of food on site and swimming pool. The rooms small but comfortable and with a bit of character.
The staff did not readily help with information but rather directed you to their tour operators or to the taxis waiting outside the door. We found much cheaper ways to get to the umbrella village and elephant park etc.
