“ Whilst it was a little way out if town (approx 6klms) it was gorgeously situated on the Maeping River. Beautiful grounds and good value for money. If you are looking to walk and eat nearby, forget it, it is pretty much classed as out in the country. ”

Nice quiet place by the river, nice swimming pool with a great view, big room, nice staff A little far from the center of Chiang Mai so you need a taxi to get to most places, but that makes it quieter there...

Clean hotel with friendly staff. Grounds are very nice along side the Ping River. Rooms are spacious with private balcony. Quiet. Breakfast provided with room was good, fresh fruits, eggs, bacon, cereal, yogurt, toasts, Thai dishes, coffee, tea, juices. Other than breakfast the food was terrible as the restaurant wasn't fully operational. There was a menu and food was served but truly lacking. No other dining close and traveling was difficult from this location.

Location is by river, with infinity pool overlooking...but pool was dirty so we could not use! Old dark bathrooms, dark rooms, twin beds butted up together with a huge space in the middle, Mosquitos in the bedroom & bath, old torn towels and floor mats, cleaning service was superficial, staff overcharged for airport and taxi service

Whilst it was a little way out if town (approx 6klms) it was gorgeously situated on the Maeping River. Beautiful grounds and good value for money. If you are looking to walk and eat nearby, forget it, it is pretty much classed as out in the country. However free shuttle twice a day into town for shopping/site seeing and food at night Highly recommended if looking for a quiet relaxing stay away from the hustle and bustle. Just what we wanted after a hectic stay in Bangkok Spacious rooms, quiet air cond and a lovely balcony. Remember to ask for a room with a view over the river. Also good wi fi and excellent breakfast, also great restaurant food by the river

Beautiful Lanna style hotel a bit of a way out of town (15 minutes and anything from 150 to 300 Baht by taxi). Very quiet and peaceful setting along the banks of the Ping River. I had an upstairs top rated room over looking the river. Masses of space, huge bed, everything worked and there are lots of functioning power points. Very good WiFi connection. Staff very helpful and friendly but English isn't their strong point (but then neither is my Thai) so you need to be a little patient. Having said that they were always very polite and once the communication problems were overcome, they were great. A very useful twice daily taxi is provided free of charge to take you into town (one way only) and there are bikes available on site for either hire or free (depending on where you are going and for how long). The nearest western style convenience store (Tesco Lotus in this case) is a 5 minute bike ride away. Breakfast was a little disappointing as I was anticipating something all together more local. Instead you get what is termed an 'American' breakfast. But that very minor point aside, I can't say there was anything that disappointed me.

It it much more that I could have expected in all aspects. It is absolutely beautiful, great private and large bungalows with terrace with view either to the Mae Ping, pond or garden. The best Thai place (the decoration is very typical ) for relaxing and not too distant from town. Quiet during the night which is a great plus. Very nice pool with river view, fantastic vegetation. They grow all different kinds of orchids and name them. The reception area is very cozy. There are available bikes to go pick up somehting at the closest market place. The attention is great. I really hope they keep it up since I did not find any thing to improve in terms of what they already have, but they are making a nice bar by the pool along the river. It will be fantastic. I came with the intention of staying 4 days and ended up staying 10, making it my base and from here several tours were arranged for me by the hotel staff. They have just about everything you can possibly need to feel comfortable and relaxed I really enjoyed my stay. Frankly speaking I can not find anything that I did not like about this gorgeous place. I can only recommend it greatly.

Lanna Mantra is an exquisite hotel located along the Ping River. It is a peaceful hotel where you can rest after a busy day of touring. The staff were friendly and helpful, with good English skills. The hotel is located outside of the city, so they provided a shuttle service twice a day free of charge. Getting back from the city is simple enough as the hotel gives you a card with the address written in Thai, so it is easy for the Songtao drivers to know where to go. The breakfasts were delicious with a variety of choices to choose from. Well done to the team at Lanna Mantra!

Location, location, location. Lanna Mantra is placed just on the edge of the Ping river. In the north/east part of Chiang Mai city. Located outside the high-way around the city center, still not more than a short trip with a taxi or tuk-tuk away from down-town. This is not a problem, with the 2 free shuttle runs to City / Night Bazar each day, and a 150 Bath taxi ride home. Nice clean and well kept rooms, no fancy design, but good quality in the products used. All rooms have access to Wi-fi, but not always the best connection, maybe not the hotels fault. I will use Lanna Mantra next time I come to Chiang Mai. :-)

Such a relaxing hotel and value for money. We regret that we should plan to stay here more days. It's difficult to find the hotel at first, since there is no any indication in the main street, even in front of the hotel we saw only restaurant name.

The hotel is very cosy and quiet. It is best for holiday break. The environment is great. The hotel design and environment are fantastic. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room is clean and the design is colonial feel. Overall my wife & I enjoy so much of our stay. The free shutter to city twice a day is great. The food is awesome

早上提供的早餐也很不错,虽然品种不多,但水果果汁样样- 俱全,员工服务态度也不错,smile often on their faces, and they are good at englisg! 就是地理位置比较偏远,在机场打TAXT要250B,在city打双条车或TUTU车要200B左右,出去- 很多时候很难叫车,只能等酒店免费的shuttle bus !
