The owners (Gabriel and Saithong) are a very kind and hospitable couple who do their best to make you feel at home. great pool, excellent breakfast, spacious and stylish rooms, good location, will return for another time for sure
The magic place near Chiang Mai for all the people who adore nature, peace and quiet and countryside. Gabriel and Saithong are very hospitable and heplful. Since San Sai is a village free bicycles are very useful. Every one comming to the resort should visit the weekend market in the village. It's makes a big impression on tourist & visitors and the prices are very low and satisfactory. If you have a car this resort is a perfect place to see the sights in the area. If you haven't got a car it's not a problem. Gabriel will help you get to the city and the airport. He can also organize a one day trip to see tigers, elephants and mountain tribes. We spent seven wonderfull days in this resort and if we ever are in the area again, we'll certainly choose the hotel. Saithong is an excellent cook and you will be satisfied with her sophisticated dishes. Besides, she is very nice and beautifull too.
The owner was so awesome take very good care of us I feel like with host family.
was hard to get to hotel and have no Restaurant and 7-11 around there.
Owner/Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Bed was torturously firm and uncomfortable, with wire coils and springs as well as frame poking fiercely. We doubled a quilt beneath us to get through one night. Owner just shrugged and said in Thailand it was considered a "medium " firmness. Owners only spoke a few words of English, along with French and Thai.
Ideal location if you're looking for some peace and quiet.
The peace and quiet, perfect for a mature couple to be away from it all. I'm sure I spotted 'Moses' a couple of times!!!
Having to checkout a day early to return to Bangkok.
Gabriel the French owner and his Thai wife were very helpful and friendly. The lovely ladies who work with them were so kind and always met us with a smile on their face. We could experience real Lanna Thai hospitality at this wonderful small resort. Our room and the whole property was tastefully designed. We also enjoyed the quite location with rice fields nearby. The dinner served at the resort's restaurant was delicious and the price very reasonable. The included breakfast by the pool was simply great. We can highly recommend Lanna Saithong and we will gladly stay there again.
Peace perfect peace away from the hustle and bustle of Chiang Mai.
There was nothing tat we didn't like
The location and the villa we stayed was really good. It is perfect for a quiet romantic getaway.
Great service and great food and a wonderful pool!

Friendly owners and staff, property with lots of character and charm, great breakfasts, good evening meals. Very peaceful location - great if you have your own transport. Would strongly recommend this hotel.
The resort was very good maintained. with a very nice garden and the owner was very helpfull.
It was far away from town, but this resulted in a very quied surrounding. The staff didn´t speak english very well.
everything is fantastic, enjoy the stay here and leave me good memory, delicious breakfast and dinner, nice boss and others, miss them all and will be back definitely.
Only the night in Dec. is cold there, hope will prepare some more warmed blanket to guests next time.
We was there for our honeymoon Is a verry romantik place with awsome nature and verry impressive villas and furniture The pool was verry cleen and the staff verry friendly We enjoyed the breakfast good taste and way to much for eat everything they serve We loved this place be quiet and countryside Short to the mountains
The owner is verry loud with his staff That was the minus How enjoy a breakfast or romanik time when always here and see the owner talk to his staff in front of the costumer loud and bad We booked a honeymoon pakage for a romantic dinner the day we married The staff was totaly confused about what to do And the boss a french guy always come and confusing them First they serve a fish but he say wrong So they serve a soup he say wrong again Now we got the starter Cold spring rols Then we got the fish again but it was cold too Then we got the soup but with cold rice He didnt ask about what we want to drinking just serve wine And always talk so loud with bad words with his staff This dinner was not romantik It was a bad comedy And we have to pay for it 1400 bath
after several nights in the old city of chiang mai, we came to rest at Saithong lanna resort, and we can only recommend this hotel for lovers of nature, quiet, ideal to decompress. rides bikes, lazing by the pool, hearty breakfast, Thai dishes in the evening, dim lights everywhere, we loved it. the staff is friendly, and always available, as well as the boss. and, importantly, very good value for money
we enjoyed our stay very nice walks punctuated by a bicycle in small rice paddies fringed roads, with views of the hills, to the great lake dominated by a temple with superb views. the morning breakfast room is very pleasant and varies in the pool. we recommend this place for people who love nature, tranquility, comfort sleep quietly. not too distant from the old chiang mai cites some comments that suggest the withdrawal merit, and is quite feasible, simply rent a small motorcycle and everything becomes possible. be noted that the value for money is really an added advantage. we will do the advertising for this little hotel because it is very pleasant to be received with a smile by the staff and owners
small romantic hotel local Lanna style We love this little hotel chosen thanks to new pictures and we are delighted to have made the right choice. the owner for a decent price picked us up at the airport and it is a very good solution because the hotel is not easy to find, but once arrived, what amazement. has nightfall, indirect lighting is feerique. the rest is complete, no noise except the nocturnal birds that remind us that we are in the countryside. the breakfast room is delicious and poolside. the evening we tested the kitchen Saithong a treat. our room is a very cocoon of love
Nice people, but the owner speaks French and his wife Thais.
It took me 5 hours to find this place. Without a GPS, it's impossible. Other local hotels are chapter and easier, especially after a 24 hour flight. They charge way too much and provide limited service. I give it a 2 rating overall.
Lovely villa with fine equipment
It's toooooooo far away from downtown... strictly speaking, not even in Chiangmai. And the owner didn't agree with our cancellation of the 2nd day booking, and charged extra fees.
