Little, which mean you can walk everywhere, relaxing but if you want to party you can.
The beaches are beautiful, the people that live in the island amazing, food is great.
Nothing else to say.

Absolutely lovely. Definitely coming back again.
Absolutely lovely. Definitely coming back again. This island is a true paradise. Quite a long way to get to but worth it when you’re there. Sunset beach gives you little coves surrounded by rocks, great snorkeling and kayaking, beautiful sunsets and a quiet laidback atmosphere. Sunrise beach offer more open beaches free of rocks and plenty of white sand. It is busier and more crowded but still offering beautiful crystal clear waters.
Ko Lipe caters for all crowds really and yet it retains that small paradise island vibe that enables you to switch off and truly rest. All locals are incredibly friendly and polite. They are genuinely hospitable and caring. Very easy to get around the island as you can walk everywhere. Should you need a taxi, there are plenty and no matter where you’re going you pay thb50. Food wise there’s plenty of choice for both Thai or western food. If you’re vegetarian or vegan you also will have plenty of options. The hotels offer catering choices at reasonable prices. There are some tours to go on should you feel that way inclined. I honestly can recommend it enough.

Long tale boats are invading the beach and dirtying the water and damaging the coral reefs
It was so hard to swim somewhere clean and without a boat
There are no rubbish bins in the beach, lots of rubbish everywhere
Incredible little island suffering from resorts, long tale boats and plastic consumption and reckless humans
I feel so sorry for the little incredible ko lipe, I hope they will protect the island and save it

Thai paradise. But already very touristic. If you are not a fan of snorkeling/diving, nothing much more to do. But generally nice views, snorkel trips, excellent clear sea and rhe white sand. And the food!

So much busier than we thought it would be.
So much busier than we thought it would be. Very noisy with the boats. The pattaya beach completely ruined because of the boats. Sunset beach is pretty and quieter but take mosquito spray, there are clouds of them wanting your blood. The general feel of the island was that we were tolerated because we spend money. Not a friendly island at all.
I spent 200baht in Wave supermarket afterwards I asked for a plastic cup and they wanted to charge 1 baht, I really wished I'd given 500 and waited for the change.
On the plus side great snorkeling away from the boats.
Sanom Beach Resort across the rickety bridge is well worth a visit, 400 baht for 2 comfy beanbags on the incredible beach, food great and not expensive, definitely worth a visit, best place on the island.

We visited briefly in 2018 and loved it so much we booked for Christmas this year (2023).
There are now way too many people, too much tourism, too many restaurants (but food is not as good or as cheap) and, worst of all, way too many motorbikes.
"Walking Street" is impossible to walk down without having to move constantly for bikes to pass.
We were here for too long (6 days but left early) and would definitely not return.
Beach was nice. overall hotel compound not well maintained. many water features not working with stagnant water breeding mosquitos larvae. Bathroom smells. Water pressure low. No shower area to wash off near the beach, Had to rent mask & snorkel, the hotel next door provide for free. Best is the free flow of good coffee/tea whole day. Breakfast was pretty good spread. The hotel is at the end of the beach hence less crowded & less boat taxis parked on beach. I requested for both rooms on ground floor but was given 1 upstairs.
The owner is a super friendly enthusiastic guy from Barcelona who will try and help you in any way he can! The location of the hostel is really good (don't follow your Google Maps though, it took me somewhere else, just go to the 7-Eleven at the end of walking street, it's right above it). There is a fridge, microwave and kettle and you'll get a towel on arrival. Maybe some cups and cutlery would be nice for the future. There are also brand new lockers that work with a code.
Very friendly and helpful owners and staff - Salisa has a very relaxed vibe.
The breakfasts are very good and the restaurant serves up excellent food choices.
Location on sunrise beach is lovely - direct access to soft sand and warm clean water. Plenty of chairs and loungers.
Accommodation is well maintained with good wifi , aircon and showers. The overall property looks really good.
This was our second stay and we're looking forward to coming back again next year.
The rooms were big and well designed!
The hotel location was on the main beach with easy access to the immigration office / boat and the walking street. We loved the nearby Sonoma Beach within 10 mins of the hotel.
We really liked the rooms and the bed was comfy.
The pool next to our hotel room (at the back of the resort) was super nice and really chilled with almost no one in there most the time. In contrast to the beachside pool.
Beautiful bungalows nested in the jungle, on a cliff above the far east end of Sunrise Beach. Serene, peaceful and quiet. Everything can be delivered to your room. That particular stretch of the beach has the finest powdery sand as well. Great restaurant on premises with plethora of options, both local and western cuisine. The staff is phenomenal and very accommodating.
- super modern and spacious
- my bed was huge I could even stand straight on it
- big storage space inside the bed
- very clean
- a lot of areas to hang out
- pool table
- big book shelves
- nice location
- quite
- staff at the reception was friendly and helpful
- mix of hotel and hostel vibe
Very good location right next to the beach! Short walk to walking street (make sure to walk along the beach from the ferry rather than Google maps as much quicker!). Hammock was very comfy! Overall very good value for money. We also really enjoyed the snorkeling trip arranged through the hotel.
Beautiful outlook from cafe area over Sunrise Beach and this is a nice spot to relax. Unfortunately the food was not great. Easy walk to Walking Street. Staff were friendly and helpful. We liked the overall feel.of the resort but don't expect luxury accommodation.
Mali resort is gorgeous, with a beautiful swimming pool and in a perfect location on Sunrise beach. The rooms are huge, and one of the only places I’ve stayed that can easily accommodate a family of five in one room. Would definitely stay there again!
The owner and staff were incredibly helpful and make our stay even more special - perfect location on sunrise beach which in my opinion is the best beach on Koh lipe. Wapi Resort should be your choice of stay! can’t recommend enough.
The hotel staff were truly excellent. They were very helpful throughout our stay. The location, if you stay in the lower bungalows, is excellent. We had a pool side bungalow. The breakfast was very good. Dinners were also delicious.
Very friendly staff at the resort, and the pickup and drop off service to the ferry is a very nice touch as well as the free bananas, coffee, and tea in the morning. The hotel is very close to the beach as well.
Met friendly people. The manager, Gone, makes the place special. She was extremely helpful in all respects. A bit noisy at night but that’s to be expected in a central location. Basic two star hotel/hostel.
the staff were amazing and so helpful. beautiful
pool and useful free taxi service to ko lipe. breakfast was super tasty and they modified all dishes to vegan for me.
Bangalows are located on the best beach, Sunrise Beach, and a few steps from the Walking Street. Best location, close to everything.
Wake up front beach is amazing.
Accommodation correspond to price with relation Ko Lipe prices level.
I like lokality in the center island.
I like local beaches very much at first Sunrise one.
