Very helpful staff. The owner also gave us a free upgrade for two nights of our stay. Perfect quiet location right on the beach but a very short walk to the Main Street in Mae Nam. Would definitely stay here again!
The room, hard bed, sheets with nibble holes, dirty old blanket, 3(!) pillows (where was the 4th?), facilities (lack thereof), space, amenities, service wasn't that great (no-one onsite til 8am each day) - all disappointing considering how much the room cost.
Clean, no insect, nice garden
French aproach to the customers, localisation and Koh Samui, which is really not the "paradise island".
Amazing Hacienda. Perfekt place to the beach. Nice and clean rooms. Great and lovely staff!
The staff were amazing - very friendly and always happy to help with our baby. Great relaxing place right on the beach.
Room is very clean. Hot shower. Great air-condition. Right next to the beach!
The restaurant staff was amazing, speedy, polite and friendly, just perfect. The restaurant offers a decent size Western and Thai cuisine. Free DVDs to rent for the room A stunning beach and sea in front of the hotel. A lovely cat that lives in the hotel for all the animal lovers. Complimentary 2 litres of water per day Hotel can arrange airport taxi pick up and also ferry tickets to other islands Complimentary drink at arrival Plenty of restaurants around the hotel Cheap massage at the beach of the hotel Housekeeping is very helpful, they fixed the sink and shower in no time. This hotel has by far one of the most helpful and polite staff in Thailand
The hotel's restaurant is closed in the evening, but that shouldn't put you off as there are plenty of gastronomical alternatives around for the evening.
The garden view bungalow is really good,it s five seconds to the beach,it has all necessary facilities inside, the garden near is so beautiful, the stuff is also very kind and always ready to help you. Good clean beach with sand bottom, very good for children and those who are not swimming well.
The location is far from the centre and all activities,it s necessary to rent the bike if you want to go somewhere. But due to te location the place is really calm and peaceful, which is an advantage.
Price. Friendly staff
Coffee. But that applied to all coffees tried at various places. Too bitter. Would liked to have been able to choose items for breakfast I.e. Eggs and bacon only from the 'Westerner'.
Location is great. Many good restaurants near by and the Thursday market is right next door.
Unfortunately the management/staff weren't overly friendly and reminded us several times that we were staying on a booking.com special rate. Not very professional but if you can get passed that it's a great place to stay.
Paradise on earth
Beach is so nice available sun beds, food at hotel or others on beach. Can have massages on beach.
The location and the price for its location. Right on the beach!
The location of the hotel is really nice, it has a really nice beach. The food on the hacienda restaurant was amazing, from the European food to the Thai food everything was delicious. The staff at the restaurant is so friendly and helpfull
Location right on the beach Management very friendly and helpful Lovely soft sunbeds on beach Free use of beach towels Beautiful gardens Fridge in room
It was a little bit quiet for us and it would have been nice to have a few more bars and restaurants around. But we were only there for 2 nights so it was fine really.
Excellent location (restaurants nearby), with quiet environment. Perfect place to relax. I recommend to everyone who wants to go to Samui.
Really loved the view. It was amazing, in perfect position. The deck chairs set out on the beach were a nice luxury to have as well.
First of all, a few days before we arrived we emailed the hotel with a few questions about transport. They responded and then when there was a misunderstanding on my part the general manager got really narky and rude. Speaking to us as if we were stupid when it was a simple misunderstanding. Once we arrived the service was fine but we didn't feel as welcome as some of the other guests. The toilet was blocked and would not flush anything down. We ate there the day we arrived, for the first and last time. The pad Thai was almost inedible, incredibly oily and the noodles were like rubber. And the green curry didn't have much flavor at all. For that kind of standard it was way way over priced.
Cosy, direct sea access. Lots of nightlife nearby without ruining the peacefulness at the resort. Support given for airport transfer that worked well.
We stayed at Hacienda before taking a ferry at Mae Haad to Ko Tao, we were openly told by the management that they would rather not have these kind of guests. Additionally, the neighboring Hammock hotel gave an overall better impression due to earlier opening and a slightly cooler beachfront restaurant.
We had a beach bungalow wich was lovely and perfect for when you have small children. Even if the room was small it felt big as we could use the beach. Good food in the restaurant. Too bad they only had breakfast and lunch.
No pool wich is bad for the price we payed. Not so many restaurants in the area and no breakfast included. Also the location is nice but a bit too quiet and difficult to get to other places without a car or bike.
very friendly staff, wonderful cottage setting. We really enjoyed the beach proximity, as well as the breakfast and lunch options served. We had seen other reviews that complained about them not being open for dinner, this was never an issue as there are numerous other restaurants just steps from Hacienda Beach. We really liked how well the grounds were maintained, and how relaxed the entire setting felt. This is definitely the place to stay if you are looking to relax! On a side note we would like to thank David and his staff for all their assistance after our scooter accident on Samui, everyone was so helpful.
Leaving!!! We would have liked to stay much longer and would stay here again in Samui.
I loved this place. Peaceful and beautiful location, ate at restaurants on the beach for dinner which were quite good. Did some tours, easy pick up from hotel. Sorry didn't have more than 3 days stay. Would have just spent the extra days at Hacienda beach. Staff were also very helpful.
Location. food was good too.
They charge seperately for Breakfast (200THB) not included in room rent, washrooms have shower gel only (bottle is fitted next to the shower) but no soap to wash hands on the sink so have to move back and forth for that. They do not serve dinner so you have to go outside for it.
- the hotel owners are very friendly and helpfull - the bungallow is really great
mussels in the ocean
Minimalistic but beautiful interior and territory, good location (not crowded). Rooms are very clean, everything is in order
Price is some big for the bungalow without soap and hairdryer:) Restaurant works till only 5p.m., sea-view rooms mostly have not it really (just from the corner). Reception is run by owner and closes early too.
Efficient booking and service, no problems arranging details of our stay and transfers. Located directly on a clean, beautiful beach with lots of space and enough sunbeds and towels. Breakfast is not included in the daily rate, but in fact we enjoyed the higher-quality fresh food that you get for breakfast there (priced 100 - 250 BHT). Hacienda Beach has a small library of leftover books and even better - a library of DVDs which came in handy on rainy days.
It is a small space, so there is nowhere to put a swimming pool. We rented a bungalow with private pool (and enjoyed it) - the hedge could cover it better, because the bathers are in full view of everyone passing by.
