The comfort and the beach. The breakfast was great and you could sit on the terrace close by the Beach.
The staff doesn't speak english very well. The service af the breakfast was not good. It seams they did not enjoy their work and they didn't understand english.
-Pristine beach that is pretty much secluded -Due to location being so remote you are limited to eating at the hotel but there are plenty of options across the two restaurants. We took advantage of the daily buffet lunch (700 THB - about £14 at time of writing). -Good breakfast selection although sometimes a queue for egg station as only one chef who only served one person at a time. -although secluded, hotel puts on daily evenin entertainment and provides activities during day such as kayaks / snorkels / table tennis etc. gym facility is pretty good for size of hotel with cardio equipment and free weights.
Beautiful unspoilt beach
Staff very pushed to cope at times
Good facilities, snorkeling equipament for free, kayak for free cleaned beach, very good to swimm Food was very good but really expensive.
-I booked apartm. with sea view, and didn`t get it. Complained and then we moved to another apartm. with part of sea view but only from the superior floor. We were really disappointed. They compensated us with extra hours at the hotel and the transfer to the airport. Because of that our check-in lasted 2 hours. When we finally got the new room, after a long day of travel we just had dinner, shower and when we decided to sleep: surprise, we couldn`t turn off the lights. We lost with that more 20 min. At the next day, we couldn`t turn on the lights...more time at the room only for repairs. The shower was cold, difficult to regulate. The bed was terrible. Really uncomfortable. The restaurant service was slow. Bad communication between the staffs. Didn`t delivery our messages and requests. We had to go personally and repeat ourselves many times. Only one free transfer to the "city" that lasts one hours and a half. I tryed to book 5 hours before and it was already fully booked.
Beach, food and a very quiet place.. Our villa beach front was perfect.
At first we found a very uncomfortable and outdated bed (no 5 star hotel should be allowed to have a bed like that). Luckily after complaining a lot they changed the mattress.
Out of all the 6 hotels we've been in Phuket, this one has the most pristine beach. The sands are a joy to walk on. The resort itself is beautiful and has a lot of activities. The rooms were spacious and affordable. Love the architecture and the restaurants near the beach.
Wifi is annoyingly limited to two devices. The front desk staff was not helpful. They seem to avoid following up with their guests, and their English isn't very good. The rooms can definitely be better maintained, and cleaner.
I liked the fact that the hotel is on the beach, it has a nice architecture and is a good place to relax and enjoy the great weather of Thailand.
The hotel is under construction, some of the facilities are deficient, such as the hot water that's not reliable and the bath tub that takes up to an hour to fill.
I liked the beach view and its cleanliness. The breakfast is charming by the beach.
The hotel's restaurant, the leeleevadee was obviously understaffed. Our room had poor water pressure. The bath would take hours to fill.
Hotel is not too big, has good facilities (spa, fitness centre, kayaks...) and is located on a beautiful clean beach.
Hotel is quite remote; the rooms smelled a bit (mold).
The beach was great, free kayaking and bicycles were available. The sports activities were enjoyable (Beach volleyball, table tennis & kayaking). The food was excellent. The pool was also very enjoyable.
Prices were a bit steep and the only other alternate restaurant was 500m away. The service at the restaurant was rather slow.
The Beach and swimming area
The hotel don't have slopes or lift near the rooms area for baby strollers.
Terrific, helpful front desk staff. Isolated, quiet location.
Few nearby restaurants.
- Upon arriving, the resort looks amazing. The view on the pool and the sunset at the beach is wonderful. The rooms are spacious. - Very good and luxurious spa. However, prices are not so cheap. - The hotel shuttle/taxi is very comfortable and reliable.
- The English level of the employees are poor. - There is not a lot of entertainment in the resort, especially in the beginning of May. Thus, it is really a place to distress, but do not expect some animation or activities in the near environment. - Hotel has to improve the breakfast. Again, the staff was not always able to help in English. The variety was limited and the buffet was really repetitive day after day. The food quality was not matching a 5 star hotel.
Upgraded to a very nice room. Great location. Very nice resort grounds. Room service from kitchen was great. Nice beach to relax, walk and swim. Room cleaning was great. Check in and porter staff friendly and efficient. Potential to be a truly great resort.
Hit and miss staff service. Some staff were fantastic with service, others didn't have any idea. Grounds are uneven and you need to watch your footing at all times. Very apparent when the manager wasn't around. This hotel could have been one of the best I have stayed at with good front line service staff. (If i want a beer I shouldn't have to wait for the pool bar attendant to come back from lunch while the bar is open! )
Zero service,,,,, I mean zero.... We went room and breakfast and after 7 nights spent zero on food and drink in the hotel!! Cheap, but not exactly 5 star
Everything was perfect
The room size The beach The beach facilities
The food The breakfast especially The cost of dinner The location The mini bus service to a so called market.....?! Not a thai market at all!! The noisy corridors
Beautiful, quiet location with great beach. It is remote, but we knew that when we made the reservation and did not mind.
Definitely a notch below the other 5 star hotels we stayed at in Thailand. The beds were hard. The sink area in the bathroom was cramped. As noted by other reviewers, the staff spoke limited English. Housekeeping was sporadic in replacing toiletries.
We really loved our stay at Maikhao Dream Resort. The service was excellent, the staff was always smiling and exceeding expectations, in general the hotel is upscale, the food in the restaurant was delicious and the prices are not expensive, the beach is beautiful, one of the nicest we saw on or trip around Thailand. The pool is wonderful and the suits are super spacious and high standard, the hotel is a bit far from central Phuket which makes it more attractive because it is not as crowded as in the centre. We spend Christmas at the hotel and the night was spectacular. Thoroughly recommend it, it is a paradise with the best service that can be found in Thailand!
