I liked the beach view and its cleanliness. The breakfast is charming by the beach.
The hotel's restaurant, the leeleevadee was obviously understaffed. Our room had poor water pressure. The bath would take hours to fill.
Hotel is not too big, has good facilities (spa, fitness centre, kayaks...) and is located on a beautiful clean beach.
Hotel is quite remote; the rooms smelled a bit (mold).
The beach was great, free kayaking and bicycles were available. The sports activities were enjoyable (Beach volleyball, table tennis & kayaking). The food was excellent. The pool was also very enjoyable.
Prices were a bit steep and the only other alternate restaurant was 500m away. The service at the restaurant was rather slow.
The Beach and swimming area
The hotel don't have slopes or lift near the rooms area for baby strollers.
Terrific, helpful front desk staff. Isolated, quiet location.
Few nearby restaurants.
- Upon arriving, the resort looks amazing. The view on the pool and the sunset at the beach is wonderful. The rooms are spacious. - Very good and luxurious spa. However, prices are not so cheap. - The hotel shuttle/taxi is very comfortable and reliable.
- The English level of the employees are poor. - There is not a lot of entertainment in the resort, especially in the beginning of May. Thus, it is really a place to distress, but do not expect some animation or activities in the near environment. - Hotel has to improve the breakfast. Again, the staff was not always able to help in English. The variety was limited and the buffet was really repetitive day after day. The food quality was not matching a 5 star hotel.
Upgraded to a very nice room. Great location. Very nice resort grounds. Room service from kitchen was great. Nice beach to relax, walk and swim. Room cleaning was great. Check in and porter staff friendly and efficient. Potential to be a truly great resort.
Hit and miss staff service. Some staff were fantastic with service, others didn't have any idea. Grounds are uneven and you need to watch your footing at all times. Very apparent when the manager wasn't around. This hotel could have been one of the best I have stayed at with good front line service staff. (If i want a beer I shouldn't have to wait for the pool bar attendant to come back from lunch while the bar is open! )
Zero service,,,,, I mean zero.... We went room and breakfast and after 7 nights spent zero on food and drink in the hotel!! Cheap, but not exactly 5 star
Everything was perfect
The room size The beach The beach facilities
The food The breakfast especially The cost of dinner The location The mini bus service to a so called market.....?! Not a thai market at all!! The noisy corridors
Beautiful, quiet location with great beach. It is remote, but we knew that when we made the reservation and did not mind.
Definitely a notch below the other 5 star hotels we stayed at in Thailand. The beds were hard. The sink area in the bathroom was cramped. As noted by other reviewers, the staff spoke limited English. Housekeeping was sporadic in replacing toiletries.
We really loved our stay at Maikhao Dream Resort. The service was excellent, the staff was always smiling and exceeding expectations, in general the hotel is upscale, the food in the restaurant was delicious and the prices are not expensive, the beach is beautiful, one of the nicest we saw on or trip around Thailand. The pool is wonderful and the suits are super spacious and high standard, the hotel is a bit far from central Phuket which makes it more attractive because it is not as crowded as in the centre. We spend Christmas at the hotel and the night was spectacular. Thoroughly recommend it, it is a paradise with the best service that can be found in Thailand!
The staff was extremely friendly, amazing. I wanted to hire some of them and take them to my country. The facilities were amazing, the beach leaves you absolutely speechless, and the price was NOT high at all. Really amazing
Just the best cost effective Resort. It fit our honeymoon concept. Splendid facilities, services and Beach (strong waves). We also visited the private luxurious Resort nearby - you'd better save your money with This one! An italian group was in with babies - still quiet! Good place for a peaceful rest after the flights...
Hotel far from Phuket airport, but I rented a car. Odeur d'humidite dans la chambre. On entend les voisins parler dans la chambre à coté. Propreté bonne mais des traces sur une serviette. Restaurant too expensive, even if the Chef was italian (loloabster instead of loabster: Is it fair?). Good dinner in a basic restaurant nearby the hotel, 10 minutes walk on the Beach).
After a week in Phuket, we were looking for sth more relaxed. This was perfect. Much closer to Phuket airport than Kata Beach. Perfect beach location. Fantastic little local beach restaurant 500m north along the beach, run by a German and Thai couple. Next doors to the restaurant they offer Thai massages at very cheap prices. Because the traffic is so much quieter here, it's easy to drive yourself around the area either by scooter or car. The Saturday Food market at Khok Kloi is THE BEST. Went on a tour to the Similan Islands, departure point 1km north of hotel, an amazing trip. I also took part in the hotel's Thai Cooking Class which was fantastic. We drove up to the Khao Sok National Park, again absolutely fantastic - this can also be booked as a tour of course but driving yourself is easy and works out much cheaper. There was so much more to do in this area but of course sometimes it was hard to leave the hotel as the amenities were too good to pass up. Huge garden and pool area with only 42rooms - this hotel feels really luxurious. The staff are very friendly. Communication wasn't a problem at all. Can't wait to come back here.
The hotel provided the option of renting a bike or car for affordable money. Thai people are nearly always kind-hearted, happy, courteous and polite; these guys were no exception. I thought the food could have been a bit better, but that's only because the price you're paying is more than the average and so I expect better than average food. They had a super gym, the swimming pool was very nice and the beach the hotel sat on was spectacular. All in all I would strongly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and peaceful getaway away from the hustle and bustle.
The only criticism I have is that the resort is a little secluded but I'm sure that's a positive for many people.
great beach, excellent pool, perfect service, staff is always present, very quiet and far remote location (no tourist entertainment activities), excellent SPA treatments (more expensive than massages at the beach, but about 1/3 of price at European 5 Star resorts). Conclusion: perfect retreat location to relax
please note: location is far away from anywhere (there is just one restaurant approx. 500 m up the beach) and prices at restaurants at hotel are quite expensive.
a very comfortable resort
The design, the landscaping, the views over the beach from the dining room, the swimming pool, the spa, the peace and isolation from other resorts. The generous space in the rooms. Great for a peaceful rest.
There was nothing to dislike.
