Muang, 50100 Chiang Mai (Show map) Good, Score from 81 reviews“The one thing I can say is that this Hotel is very clean and comfortable, thus making it a pleasure to stay there. The location is also a plus, short walk to night markets, not that far from the Airport Plaza, plenty of shopping to be done there. The staff are also friendly and willing to help.”

Very good and sumptuous breakfast. The room you see on the website is not the room you get. We asked specificly for a room in the main building but we got a room in the well known side building: outdated, no hot water, lots of noise, doorways too low (we hit our head a few times). These rooms are not shown on the website and are a not worth four stars. After listening to our complaints, we still had to pay 900 baht per night to get a room in the main building we already paid for.

Very nice hotel. Huge rooms. Nice pool. Friendly, helpful staff that speak and understand English (very rare in Thailand....). Good location. The rooms are not as luxurious as they look. It's a old building that has been renovated (other part of the hotel seems more recent).

Rooms in the main building are brightly lit and well decorated. Plenty of seats in the cafe for breakfast and breakfast spread is good. Location is another plus - walk no more than ten min to the night bazaar or waroret market (chinatown) and just fifteen or so minutes to saturday and sunday markets. a) That the hotel charged me 120b per pax for airport transfer one way and there were two other passengers (airline crew) in the car. So did I pay for them? booking.com - NOTE THIS: b) That the hotel did not have a hairdryer in the room though this is stated in the description of facilities. I had to pay a 200b a nite for an upgrade to a room WITH a hairdryer. c) That the hotel agreed to extend my checkout time to 1pm but called my room at 12.30 pm to chase me out.

Once we moved from our supposedly deluxe terrace room into the main part of the hotel, we enjoyed our stay in this hotel as the room was very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water in the bathroom. Its location was good as it was easy to walk to the night markets. The description of the "deluxe terrace double room" on your website doesn't correspond with the reality. There was no balcony and no separate seating area. It was in a separate building where there was no lift and there was no hot water, only lukewarm water. It did have a large jacuzzi bath but you would never have been able to fill it with enough hot water to make use of it. These rooms were also quite noisy. Wifi wasn't available in any of the rooms and it was appallingly slow

I don't like the bed in the room, I found it uncomfortable, it looks very old and too noisy. The cleaning service could be better as the hotel can be 3/4 star. The room maid is very slow for any inquiry. The breakfast has many choices but the quality is not sufficient for my taste. I found the restaurant manager very rude person. In my 2 nights stay every morning I see him teaching and discuss with the staff all the time. His voice is loud and doesn't care of the guest having breakfast. I suggest him the make the briefing before or after the service. The last and maybe the worst thing for the breakfast time. All the staff start to clean the buffet at 10.10 eventhough the bk time is till 10.30. I hope the hotel will improve the service soon. Thanks.

The hotel has two parts. The main building is perfect and like a 3 star in europe. But the anex has no lift only a staircase. Showers not possible to regulate hot or warm. But the hotel is perfect located 5 min walk to the old city and or the night market. Breakfast perfect Thai or european and incl in the room rate. We recommend for all type of travelers But no Backpack hotel.

Centrally located for visiting the old city, night bazaar and markets on foot. Staff very friendly. Medium sized, free, safety deposit boxes behind reception meant some belongings could be kept secure. Bank and 7 Eleven next door for ATM cash withdrawals, currency exchange, and purchase of small items. Swimming pool on the 3rd floor had small waterfalls which pigeons sat in to drink water. This suggests that the water is not highly chlorinated; and thus any droppings from the pigeons might contaminate the pool with some viruses and diseases.

The room was spacious and clean and having a fridge was very useful fridge was very useful. The lady who cleaned my room was friendly and cheerful. The other staff I would call professional. The buffet breakfast was good and well organised. The location was excellent. It was quiet and as a sole female traveller I felt very safe. The night market is just around the corner and the old town is only a short walk. For a holiday hotel the staff lacked that friendly touch and I think that perhaps they gear themselves for business.

Nice and quite spacious room, especially with the day bed area. Daily free drinks, choice of coffee, tea or Coke, Daily buffet breakfast included in room rate - selection may not be extensive, was expecting some dim sum items actually - but had variations enough for all. Bed was comfy, with an extra pillow each for the two of us. Location was quite central, near to the Old Gate but far enough from the buzz. Complimentary airport transfer at THB80/pax one way. There is a pool, sauna, jacuzzi, even yoga rooms but did not get to enjoy & utilize these during our stay.

Everything was really good. Reading some comments about the hotel before arrival made us a bit concerned. However, we were indeed pleasantly surprised the minute we arrived. We had 2 nice rooms in the main building (with a lift!). The breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Helpful staff. Excellent address for sightseeing.

The hotel is located very well: in between the old city center with restaurants, and the famous night bazaar. Our room (deluxe terrace), was fine and contained a jacuzzi. But it was definitely not meeting our expectation as it was a completely different room than what they describe here. Knowing the complaints of other people, we confronted the staff with the pictures of the room, and told them that we want this room. They were willing to upgrade us to a better room, but that was still not the one described here (we were promoted from the 3rd to the 2nd building). The breakfast was reasonable, especially if you like warm english or american breakfast. The bed was as hard as wood, there were quite some ants in the bathroom, and the room (deluxe terrace) was smaller than 25sqm and not 45sqm as described. The shower was only with cold water, not the one on the picture. They give misleading information about the room. The staff was not really helpfull. Although you do get a free drink in the bar every night (initially a plus!) we ended up fishing out ants from our drinks. The bartender wasnt surprised when this was told to him. Next day i asked for a drink again and kindly asked to have one without ants (a question you dont expect to be asking in a 4*hotel) but there they were again. That was our last drink there. We were willing to pay more for a room in chiang mai in order to get a bit more luxory - but this was a dissapointment and i am sure you can get a better room for a better price.

Room was large and nicely decorated. Excellent location near to the central areas of chiang mai- near the southern gate and night market. Reception staff do speak english and were very helpful. Spa facilties were not available. The jacuzzi was not filled with any water and clearly had not been used in a while and the sauna / steam rooms were not in use. We were not aware of this until we went to go and use them!!!!
