Melati Beach Resort & Spa  

Beautiful setting, wonderful food, very friendly service, close location to other potential activities, perfectly appointed rooms, nice pool areas (both near the beach and one isolated for greater calm).

Paid-for Wifi though staff gave us free access after we complained (today free wifi should be as standard as hot water). Spa costs a bit on the high side by comparison to what you find outside the hotel, and in- house taxi costs too expensive compared to local market rates (but most other prime resort hotels behave the same so Melati is no different)

The location was beautiful, the staff were friendly and very attentive to our needs. The family pool was fantastic and our villa with the private pool was just amazing. We really loved our time at Melati and would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of travelling to Koh Samui.

The resort offered us a unique two bedroom family pool villa (7 nights breakfast inclusive for £3,500 all in peak season ) which was ideal for a family of 4 with two grown up children. At other resorts, you would need to book to separate adjoing pool villas each bult for two adults. Aside from being convenient (the family was together in the evenings), it works out much cheaper than resorts at which you need to book two separate adjoining pool villas. The staff were very friendly and courteous. The pools (especially the infinity pool by the beahc were amazing) The sap treatments were excellent as well

Insect bites can be a issue as the resort has a lot of greenery and garden areas. The private beach, is beautiful, but a bit on the small side. and there is quite a bit of coral, so not all powder sand. As you walk into the water be careful as a some parts of the bay is rocky bottomed. The part of the bay with soft sandy bottom, is quite small in area. More umbrellas beside the loungers and in general, more loungers overall required by the pool and the beach.Suggest every pair of loungers come with their own umbrella. I found that you needed to get up early to secure a good set of loungers by the pool.

Amazing hotel - beautifully designed and extremely comfortable. We had a bath tub on our balcony which was fab. Staff were extremely friendly, helpful and were fun to chat to. My only wish is that we could stay for longer!

When we asked to book a taxi to the airport - it was 4 times the price of getting a meter taxi. The hotel charges 400 baht per person for the taxi and that is how much one would cost in total(for 4 people) if we had got a regular meter taxi. Bit of a rip off.

The room was lovely and all staff were very friendly.

Charming, spacious villa suites. Great tropical feel/ landscaping all thru; attention to detail; excellent service and friendly staff. The infinity pool and the secluded beach are great as well. We really enjoyed our stay.

Although our stay at the resort was limited to just 2 Nights and 3 Days, it simply mind-blowing - the Private Garden Pool (formerly Junior Pool Villa) was more than what we had ever expected. The staff were extremely helpful and obliged a special request for a complimentary cake on my wife's birthday. The daily breakfast by the beach was another highlight of our trip. All in all a without a doubt the Melati was the most pleasant experience and wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the hospitality and the atmosphere around Melati

We were caught up at the resort during the flood disaster the last few weeks. I would like to recommend the staff and hotel for its assistance and facilities during this trying time. They were one of a few resorts which had a working generator and due to its raised location we were pretty dry and all facilities still functioned. Quite a few tourists from other resorts or private villas came over to the Melati for safety. Excellent job to Ivan and his team, they made this natural disaster bearable!

La situation géographique (attention: tres isolé donc louer obligatoirement une moto sous peine d'être coincé dans l'hotel) Grande Chambre salle de sport restaurant:Le Kan Sak Thong (mais tres cher) Je conseille à tous d'aller au Tango Luxe Villa qui se trouve dans la même rue, le même prix (petit dej inclus et villa au lieu de chambre simple) et personnel extrêmement gentil, serviable, à l'écoute et du meilleur conseil (restaurant vue sur mer à la moitié du prix de ceux du Melati) Cet hôtel est un attrappe touriste de Koh Samui, le manager lui-même nous disait qu'il devait rester pour essayer d'améliorer le service parce qu'ils n'étaient pas au point!

- Service médiocre (se trompe à chaque fois dans les commandes de petit déjeuner, oublie d'apporter par ex. Des serviettes dans la chambre et meme en retéléphonant 3,4 fois, nous n'avons jamais eu ce que nous demandions et c'est inacceptable pour un hotel de ce prix et de cette catégorie. - toutes les prestations sont extrément chères ( bien plus que dans d'autres hotels de la region et 3, 4, 5 fois plus cher qu'en dehors de l'hotel) - propreté de la piscine sanctuary laisse fortement à désiré - Spa 4x plus cher qu'en dehors de l'hotel - Personnel désagréable Ayant fait plusieurs hotels à Koh Samui: Je conseille à tous d'aller au Tango Luxe Villa qui se trouve dans la même rue, le même prix (petit dej inclus et villa au lieu de chambre simple) et personnel extrêmement gentil, serviable, à l'écoute et du meilleur conseil (restaurant vue sur mer à la moitié du prix de ceux du Melati

Henkilökunta oli erittäin huolehtivainen. Toinen meitä erityisesti miellyttänyt asia oli aamupala, tarjonta oli varsin monipuolinen ja aina sai mahansa täyteen.

Kuittien saaminen ostettaessa ruokaa tai juomia huoneen piikkii oli hieman hankalaa.

Hotel dont les infrastuctures sont seduisantes. Petit dej de bonne qualite et complet. Piscine, chambres. Personnels gentils, serviables et toujours accueillant.

L'hotel est completement isole et profite de cette situation pour faire payer assez cher tout autre consommation ou repas ! Heureusement juste a cote se trouve un restaurant typique avec des plats thais a des prix plus raisonables. Plage sale et tres petite. Club enfant qui n'a rien a voir avec un club enfant ! Toutes les activites sont payantes. Si le sparents ne sont pas informes des activites payantes, l'enfant se retrouve a part... Autant faire payer (faible montant !!) le Club enfant a l'arrivee ainsi ils seraient tous logers a la meme enseigne. Attention entre la chambre vendue sur le site et la realite...
