The rating on booking shows 4 stars but it is actually not. We booked a double room and got a triple room. The beds were not fitting into the wall carvings making the room loom like a storage room for the extra bed. The room had a view on the main street which was very loud and the walls were thin , you could hear everything happening on the streets making it impossible to sleep. We were so uncomfortable we had to change the hotel. The rooms look nothing like the pictures.
The Internet in the room was excellent.
The hotel staff spoke little English and therefore were not able to guide us on anything. Directions and transportation were our main issues. Also the first room we checked in had a roach. However we were immediately upgraded to a different room. The taxi service within the hotel is not reliable. Our driver did not show up in the morning. our flight was early morning and we didn't need the added stress. Overall do not use this hotel if you are a tourist without a guide.
Awesome for when you want to hide away in your hotel and avoid the hussel and bustle. I ordered room service 5 times 2 dinners at a time and only paid $50 usd for all the food I ate. You need a tuk tuk to the grand palace because it's a bit of a hike but closer hotels were much more expensive. Wifi on the fifth floor wasn't great but it was fine in the lobby. Spacious rooms.
Reception was helpful
It was lacking in cleanliness, I'm pretty happy with all of the accommodation I've received through traveling, no matter what rating, but cleanliness should be a bare minimum in every establishment
You can't find Hotel. Because Taxi Driver don;t know about hotel location. I think you;d better keep the map.
The hotel was in walking distance from the main sites and china town. Staff was really friendly, welcomed us with cold drinks, helped catching cheap taxi. The room was nicely prepared and had everything we needed. Wifi is in rooms, but not always really strong.
I would not leave any negative feedback as we were happy with the hotel. The only problem was the noisy neighbours at 2 am as the walls are paper thin, so we did not sleep too well.
There was no free wifi in the room, however it was available in lobby ...If you need it in room bit expenssive
The location of the hotel is perfect if you want to visit the main temples and must-sees. You are mostly dependent on taxis and tuk tuks, since public transport is not organized through Bangkok entirely. Wat Pho, Wat Traimit, Grand Palace, China town are easily accessible by foot. It takes approximately a 10 to 15 minute walk. The staff is OK, because they do want to help you, but the language barrier is too difficult for them to understand you completely. I think English is what a hotel reception has to master at least. Do not expect too much luxury etc. you get what you pay for.
Toilets in Thailand are different fro, the ones In Europe. You can't throw in any tissues because it will get clogged. We should have known this before. The provided service was great. The maintenance guy came to our room immediately and tried to fix it, but it was 3AM already. The toilet got fixed after 1 day. Warm water was hard to get, because we think they work with a boiler. When you shower at unusual times, warm water is easier to get.
Comfort of bed and no wifi in room.
Location isnt bad
No costumer service. No hot water at all and rude stuff
Staff and the managers were non cooperative and rude
next to various markets
wifi in the lobby only
Rooms are nice and quiet.
No free wifi in the rooms.. Nowadays that sounds just very strange, almost unacceptable especially if it is a 4 star hotel.. I didn't see any stars anywhere inside the building though.
Price that s all
Staff unfriendly. Location difficult to find. Breakfast the worst since my travel experiences
Well decorated hotel in Bangkok, helpful staff.
The location of the hotel is best suited to me
That for early check in I had to pay baht 500 . Being a frequent traveller to Thailand I might think twice before staying at miramar hotel next time
The beds were so terribly firm, that we couldn't really sleep. Also: we booked for 3 nights, confirmed by booking.com, but at the hotel, we were told that we can only get 2 nights because of "overbooking". Thankfully, booking.com helped us and rearranged everything with the hotel and we could stay!
good location (close to grand palace, wat pho and wat arun), clean, friendly and helpfull staff, nice and modern rooms
surrounding, which is a bit messy, but it's a standard for Bangkok anyway, no wifi in the room (for additional fee)
price, service, free upgrade for our family, close to river, china town.
location can be a major traffic snarl up at busy times
Excellent location for walking! We walked to some temples and local sites. Cleanliness was fair on a 2* 3* level. We took a cheap taxi to the floating Market taling chan for 60 Baht and then took a boat tour for 120 baht around the canals it was excellent. Great location
No kettle. No gym. Me and my husband had to buy a mini kettle that we are carrying around with us on our travels. So far we have stayed in 3 hotels without a kettle. Something we are not used to.
The one room was large as expected and 2 large beds confortable
Not a 4 star hotel No air conditioning in room on arrival, just One room key for all guests and conditioning Bad neighborhood Noisy room, no isolation from outside heavy traffic noise all night
Friendly staff but only in restaurant. Excellent work by cleaning staff.
Location, they said 10 minutes walk to Grand Palace & Wat Pho bhudda, would have to be an olympian. No free wifi in rooms, no hot water on hand basin, no tea or coffee, not one taxi knew where it was! though then again they did not know where Grand Palace was also. Expensive breakfast.
a little bit far
