The resort had beautiful beach.
The rooms needed an up-date and the back shower had no pressure.
Very poring hotel not clean no safe box at room no tv no any body around u after 9 pm no phone at room for emergency no one around u it was really bad experience
the behavior of the owner
the tones of garbages in the area around
The resort has a nice private beach with volleyball net, free of charge sun beds and a small swimming pool. Quiet and lovely place! Very sweet and friendly staff, that served us breakfast while they where taking care of the check-in. Rooms are simple, but nice, clean and romantic out-door shower. All in all very satisfied, and good value for the money!
The food was not very impressive (except nice breakfast), but there are plenty of other places to eat within 5 min walking distance. The resort claim to have 24 hours front desk service, but when we needed to check out at early in the morning, we missed the boat to mainland because it took 30 min before the staff got there. So maybe tell them in advance if you need early/late check-out. There where some ant problems in the bungalow, but I guess that's everywhere. And DO remember to close the doors before sunset, as we got a nasty surprise of huge frogs in the bathroom (our mistake). The Koh Samet it self was okay, but parts of it looked like a constructing site.
The privacy of the resort
Location & set up, value for money in an expensive location like Ko Samed, hip areas - if needed - are easy accessible by taxi
You have to be able to cope for 1 hour with mosquitoes during dinner
The private beach, the thaï food.
This is an old resort. The breakfast not so good.
The rooms are run down, ripped bed linen, over priced, little or no hot water, problem with a rat in the ceiling, food mediocre, staff not over friendly but the island is much like that
Nice beach view
Outdated bungalow. Badly maintained. Bugs/insects everywhere. Prices for food and drink higher than usual. Even though breakfast is supposed to be included you need to pay extra.
It is in a great location with a small white sand beach.
The resort has a lot of potential but at this time it needs to be closed and completely refurbished. We had booked for 5 nights but only stayed 1 and moved on the next day with no argument from the Manager. It is a wonderful island with such lovely places. We actually got a far better place at Tubtim Bay and paid less!! I would not recommend this resort to anyone, sorry to say.
The staff were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
Tony the manager was a nice guy.
Where to start? Dirty, grubby, shared my bedroom with cockroaches, shared the shower with toads. The outside shower is the stupidest thing I have ever seen. The shower is open to the elements, therefore when it rains and you are in the shower - then you get rained on. The beach was rubbish. No facilities. Just very poor.
A very lovely place, the resort keeper is a guy from hongkong and live in thailand more then 10yrs, he is a really designer. We are the only customers because of oil spill and rain season, but monnban talay is in the north coast, so the seawater is fine. Private beach is so quite and beautiful
A litte far away from the most pop place on the island,it cost 200baht by take a taxi, and about 3 or 4 km far
A quiet gem gidden in the jungle with quiet private beach. Quiet and relaxing. No TV in the room. Good free WIFI connection awailable overall
Location was great, quite removed from the tourist areas so quiet and relaxing and the beach just outside the resort was empty and peaceful. Restaurant was lovely with great food but a bit pricey.
The aircon in the room was loud and leaky. I also suspect I got food poisoning from a salad dish.
Great private beach, beautiful grounds, charming private bungalows, very friendly staff
Shower had no hot water, food was mediocre and overpriced (but, in their defense, everything on the island is overpriced similarly!)
