Staff v unprofessional. Couldn't find booking, waited 20 minutes, no apology. Check out next day same problem. Kept transport waiting while for 25 minutes they first said everything was paid and then chased us to say they were wrong and we still had to pay more. And again no apology or explanation.
I felt that because I had booked online and had a discounted rate that I treated differently. I was given a room at the rear of the resort beside a family with a baby that cried all night. Almost every cafe and every other hotel that I stayed at in Thailand offered free wi fi. This one didn't. Generally the staff seemed like it was an effort to smile. That was not just at this hotel. Throughout Thailand I found Thais not very welcoming. I won't be back in a hurry.
Close proximity to the airport.
We were greeted by a rather unwelcoming European lady at reception who couldn't find our booking. She later berated us for using the room towels at the pool in a very abrupt way even though we hadn't been told we couldn't, in total contrast to the lovely Thai staff.
Great big contemporarily designed rooms with good AC and BBC World on TV, friendly staff, three pools, quiet low-rise resort next to a lovely beach and national park
50 tv channels and one in English! :(
Modern, slick, great aitport locality and beach too. Great shower
We arrived late night. Night manager asked us " Are you tour guide? then laught us. He is really rude. On check in process we would like to pay by credit card but he didn't accept. I could not image what happen if we have not cash in hand.
staff was not very friendly, taxi had to be ordered twice after it didn't show
It a pretty nice beach and conveniently close to the airport for early/late flights
the environment and the inner park area
Wifi only in lobby.
Location for one night before returning to Bangkok. Pool.
Room location inside the property, slow service, bad signing of hotel location, no parking facilities, low sanitation level, very expensive breakfast and food for the range of the hotel
Free wifi only available in lobby, paid wifi in rooms No windows screens in room, needed to close curtains & turn on light to get privacy.
3 lovely pools, gardens nicely landscaped, beach across the rd, flexible check out time, spacious rooms, v comfortable beds, black out curtains
The beach - stunning warm crystal water however too, too many boats
Lovely gardens and large comfortable room - thank you for our upgrade, appreciated. Breakfast was great, indoor and out door seating with a reasonable selection of offerings both western and oriental.
I can not have umbrella and sunbed on the beach like before.?...I do not understand why..... Just towels...?
The staff drove us to and from Nai Yang beach for dinner and dropped us off at the airport. (no charge) Great service!
the only thing that wasn't great is the shower, the water kept filling up the shower recess and overflowing onto the bathroom floor. Then the hot water wasn't hot in the morning.
bed comfy, staff helpful and friendly
The bed in the room was awfull. It was as if we were lying on metaltubes. It was wery uncomfortable
Nothing really, although sometimes some of the staff were disinterested. The staff in the restaurant didnt speak too much English but this wasnt really a problem.
Spotlessly clean room, lovely swimming pool, fairly easy to get to the main street in Ranong.when it rained the staff followed us with an umbrella which was nice
Very poor balcony view in the new wing looking over workers house New wing lacked any character and was mainy empty.
Location to the beach Gardens and swimming pools where excellant
Seems like this resort has had its best days and is now in decline. Breakfast very poor. Standard of rooms vary a lot - friends had a double room that was nice and to a good price whilst we paid a ridiculous sum for a so called de luxe suite that was absolutely not worth the money. Two of the three pools were ok, the third quite dirty. The bars at the hotel were very poor and hardly ever staffed. Full of Russian and Chinese tourists, smoking everywhere. Free wifi in the reception area worked poorly.
Well situated in the heart of Nai Yang with a decent restaurant. Very close to the excellent beach and restaurants. Not crowded even though we were there in very high season over Christmas.
- WIFI only at the reception area - breakfast OK, but not included in the room rate. Thought for the price we paid, the breakfast should have been included
- Stayed just one night, chose it because it was close to the airport and to the beach. - Spacious room with two big twin beds.
Music from nearby bars sent baseline through hotel until 2am. Unable to sleep which, with jet lag was a big problem
Clean rooms. Central location close to beach
The room we had was on a corner, the gardens were rather bare where we were and we were right next to the pool which was noisy. The restaurant for evening meal failed. They gave us the wrong food and when ours arrived, the pizza base was not cooked. Very little vegetarian choice.
Lovely room, bed and hot power shower. Huge fridge if you want to put your own drinks etc in Nice size balcony Fantastic breakfast choice
Filthy shower - never been cleaned (we should have complained but didn't bother). Shower cabin had no extraction so was very damp. Noisy cleaners outside our room woke us up every morning - our room was next to their office, bad luck.
Large enough room. Marble floor felt nice. Comfy bed but pillows a bit too hard. Breakfast was very good, location - next to the beach. Quiet village, low key, which is great (unlike Karon or Patong), but has all you need. Good choice of restaurants and shops.Friendly staff, Joe the manager was very attentive. Bear garden was great.
Nitpicking really but had to chase up twice to replace toilet paper!!
The hotel is lovely, its our 3rd visit there and have never been disappointed yet. The rooms are immaculate and the staff were very helpful and so friendly. The location of the hotel and layout is great, feels like your in tropical paradise. Beach is only 2 minutes walk away and local food fro beach restaurants was fantastic. Would certainly recommend to anyone.
2nd stay they'upgraded' us to a second floor 'suite' not nearly as nice as before.
1st night very nice ground floor room. Excellent. Breakfast fair to good.
