Bangkok never sleeps, or so you might think as you fly into Suvarnabhumi International Airport. From luxurious mega malls like MBK and Siam Discovery in Siam Square to the famous Khao San Road in the Banglamphu district, this hard working city is packed with commerce, fiery food and soothing temples.
Catch a boat up river on the Chao Phraya Express or discover different neighborhoods on the blissfully air-conditioned BTS Skytrain. A taxi or exhilarating tuk-tuk ride is never far away from the big attractions, which include Chinatown, Jim Thompson House and the floating markets at Damnoen Saduak.
To step out of the frenetic energy of street food stalls, amulet markets and the sizzling temperatures, discover an oasis of calm in one of the many Buddhist temples. Be awed by the majesty of the Grand Palace and marvel at the world’s longest reclining Buddha at Wat Pho. While you’re there why not relax even more with a traditional Thai massage?
From the sky-scraping luxury hotels with world famous rooftop bars to a cheap hostel bed in the center of town, Booking.com will help you explore all that Bangkok has to offer.
Many interesting areas to visit. Also a great hub to fly out to nearby historic places inside Thailand and also in neighbouring countries - such as Siem Reap in Cambodia or Vietnam. Also a good place to catch a train to Chiang Mai or Surat Thani to hop on a ferry and go to Koh Samui, Koh Pha Ngan, Koh Tao, Koh Phi Phi, Phuket etc. In addition opportunities to easily go to Pattaya or other locations. Would definitely recommend Bangkok as a South East Asian Hub to travel around the region. Great food and street shopping available throughout the city, like Khao San Road.

Bangkok is an exciting international city combining the traditional and contemporary attractions. The food is amazing and there are many public transportation options. Shopping is world class.
Driving in the downtown area can be challenging due to heavy traffic.

Bangkok is is the capital of South East Asia.
Bangkok is is the capital of South East Asia. Much more varied and lively than Singapore. It's a vast city with something for everyone. It's best to think of Thailand as four regions. Bangkok is the capital and urban conurbation in the center of the country. Pattaya and the southern islands are the part of Thailand that most tourists will recognize. Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai are in the north, filled with religious temples and easy lifestyle, and there is a vast north east that is less well known. I stay in the Sukumhvit area of Bangkok which is easer to access from the airport than the hotels along the river. From Sukumhvit you can reach anywhere easily by overhead tram or subway Traffic is always congested so it pays to take public transport with the exception of the ride in from the airport, where a taxi works best.

A great vibrant 24-7 city, every time we visit, there is something new happening, a new night market, a new shopping and eating plaza is opening, new festive season, it is never dull. Great food and food places variety to cater for all tastes and budgets. Relatively easy to reach other Asian destinations from one of the two international airports. There us no need to use taxis, as two types of public transportation - BTR and MRT - are efficient and easy to navigate. Sometimes, it is also quicker to walk rather than taking taxis. Fabulous markets and street food night markets. Great and friendly people, there us always a solution to a problem, it you are polite, respectful, willing to negotiate and be appreciative of local culture and traditions,

Without doubt the most friendliest country I've been to so far. Very, very safe to walk around day or night. Huge city. Everything works but some of buses were boneshakers - at least 50 years old. But others are brand new. In many areas you canot 10 metres without someone trying to sell you something. If you are not interested then please don't be rude as this people are only trying to making a 'honest' living. Yes, you will be approach by scammers of all types, just smile and politely say now. Tuktuks, are not for me, as they tend to drive too fast and will overcharge foreigners unless they do their homework first and fix/agree a price before getting in one. Tuktuk vs. bus - for me - give me bus anytime. That said, you my totally love the Tuktuks - I saw many happy foreigners enjoying their ride. Shopping: there are no ends to local shops where you can buy almost anything. But you prefer shopping mall experience then - you MUST visit the very famous MBK Centre. You can save a lot of money here, compared to UK/EU prices.
The hotel is right beside Phaya Thai station, making it extremely convenient for the Airport Link and getting around the city. There's a cafe and massage center nearby, and a 7-11 is just across from the hotel. The room was spacious and clean. The staff, particularly the bellboy, were exceptionally friendly and helpful. He went beyond his duties by assisting us with our heavy luggage after check-out, even taking it to the BTS station. We're sincerely thankful and would definitely choose Hotel Tranz again on our next visit to Bangkok.
This was the second call at this hotel during our three weeks holiday in Thailand. When we came back to the hotel after one week of absence, all the hotel staff remembered us and welcomed us which brought us a very warm feeling.
This hotel is located in the busy area of the city but it is very quiet in the room and in the beautiful garden and swimming pool area. This hotel is a hidden gem in Bangkok. If we have a chance to visit Bangkok again in future, we would not search for any other hotels but definitely stay at this hotel.
Price/performance ratio can‘t be beat, especially in Bangkok. We were there for a medical appointment, and the hospital was 350 meters away. The apartment is just basic but livable. Fresh water and a clean room every day were a bonus. The man (I forgot his name) at the front desk was an absolute delight. Polite, friendly, and spoke perfect English. He recommended everything in the area to us, and even a delicious authentic Thai restaurant. The best part of this stay was that young man. The hotel is lucky to have him.
The staff here are very friendly, and they ensure to go above and beyond with their duties and responsibilities. I ALWAYS stay at this hotel when I am in Bangkok for work-related purposes. Recently they have converted half of the hotel to ASQ and are closely monitoring the hygiene and covid-10 precautions. They are very accommodating and always make the transition from Thailand home very easy. The price at the moment is exceptional - a very good deal.
Everything! Fantastic trip.
We found the hotel to be leagues ahead of other 5 star hotels we have stayed at I Bangkok - I true step up in every aspect.
Meals, service, concierge, spa - all staffed with friendly and knowledgeable staff that went out of their way to make our stay most enjoyable.
The 'executive upgrade' which includes breakfast, afternoon tea and evening/sundowner cocktails was definitely worth the fair price to upgrade.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Walkable to airport directly from hotel via escalator and airbridge. Car rental on the way into the hotel (super convenient). Beautiful swimming pool, gym. Incredible and varied breakfast buffet with fresh fruit/vegetables, and generally all kinds of foods. Spacious and clean room with nice bathroom and comfortable bed. The north side of Bangkok can be explored from here (e.g., Ayutthaya).
I chose this hotel only because it was pet friendly. We were pleasantly surprised!! Wonderful, helpful staff. Loved the ambience.. all the cool art and decor. I was moving to Thailand from the States and had 4 cats and a dog. They even have a cute little grassy area outside for your dog. But go there even if you don’t have a pet which I’m planning on for my next jaunt to Bangkok. Nice cafe too!
I like the location of 4m pratu nam hotel. Near to 7E, BTS Phaya Thai station, pratunam market, a lot of massage service shop and some mall. Just walking distance. Also, u can buy some souvenir at hotel. The staffs so helpful. They help me to booking taxi to transfer from hotel to airport. And allowed me to check in early. Will repeat stay here if i go to Bangkok again. Very recommended
Nicely finished, great pool with views, restaurant on site was very nice Mediterranean food albeit a little more pricey than you would typically pay in Bangkok. Easy to get a cab to the airport from here. Staff were very eager to help.
There is a canteen type food court in the retail area with well priced food beneath the hotel - worth popping to.
good location lots of facilities and decent pool. We’ve stayed pretty much everywhere in Thailand (top hotels) as we often do staycations living in bangkok ourselves I think the breakfast here is by far the best in Bangkok. exceptional choice and just the sheer amount of different breakfast options make it the best.
Location. It in Pratunam area which is the heart of Bangkok. It all within walking distance to Central World, Platinum mall and also the train station to the Airport. The is a 7-11 just next to the Hotel. And also many eatery nearby.
Excellent hotel in location Food in the hotel is reasonably priced. Importantly, it is near the largest football stadium. I come here often to practice and compete. Will come to stay at this hotel every time I come to Bangkok.
Huge room on the 39th floor with a breathtaking view and an outdoor patio. WOW! 2 bathrooms, a safe, a fridge, a full kitchen. All this for a very reasonable price. One of the best hotels I've stayed at in Bangkok for the value.
Nice location, near to everything we need in the center. It is cheaper than other hotels around the area, so good value for money since we booked a suite that can fit more than 5 people. Nice view of Bangkok
Customer service tip top. They really help in whatever you ask. Like speak to the grab driver, call the bus office for us and etc. All in all, a hotel I would love to repeat if I ever be on Bangkok again.
Chose the location/hotel due to its proximity to the Bangkok Immigration Office
Very friendly staff supporting me with some special requests like personal print outs.
Very spacious and new room
I like to try new hotels every time I travel to Bangkok. But here I like The price is good value for money and kudos to the staff for their hospitality.
For the price you get a very nice experience. The hotel is very well located in Bangkok and very clean. The staff is very polite. I’d definitely go back!
