Navalai River Resort  

Staff was friendly. Small pool was nice.

We booked the Navalai just for our last 2 nights in Bangkok. We booked the more expensive City-view room, which basically means it looks at the street. We were on the 5th floor. View was less then the cheaper rooms on the side of the hotel. So, not worth paying more! Should pay less: big disadvantage, life music just across the street till late in the night. Not possible to sleep, even with windows closed! After complaints, we changed to cheaper side room for 2nd night. Manager knew very well about loud music, but was not willing to give compensation, not even charge side room price. Side room was cheaper, same view, loud music could still be heard and room smelled not fresh/clean. Manager's attitude was not customer friendly, knowing very well about daily complaints on loud music. Disappointed about this. Too expensive for what it offers. We will not go back and not recommend this hotel.

The localization is great. The employees speak English, which doesn't happen in most Thai hotels. The restaurant is cozy and it has a great view. The rooms are clean. The swimming pool is on the roof of the hotel, which allows us to observe the whole city.

The breakfast's eggs were barely cooked.

Location and rooms, will definatly stay there again.

A great location on the river and next to the ferry. The hotel is very comfortable with a good restuarant and pool and bar. Rooms are attractively furnished, spacious and functional. Our room had a balcony overlooking the river which gave us a ring side seat to the daily river activity as well as adding to the sense of space.

General noise from the air conditioning units (ours and next door's), the water recycling plant next door and the river and road activity.

Excellent to stay here! Rooms are very clean,breakfast is great and the most we liked, is the location of this hotel.

The location because it was close enough to Khao San road without being right on top of it and it was right on the river which was great for having a meal at the hotel restaurant. The hotel also had a rooftop pool which is a lovely touch and the rooms were large and clean with a very clean bathroon and powerful shower. We had our balcony at the quieter part of the hotel, which didn't have much of a view but it didn't bother us as we preferred it to be quiet at night.

Great bangkok hotel. Excellent location for grand palace and koh san road. Very clean and modern. Good resteraunt on the river. Definitely recommend 100%

Nice room just front the river but air co is noisy. Be award if you choose a room front the street, it will be noisier. But to find a room without noise in Bangkok is for me impossible :-) The swimming pool is nice. And the breakfast is OK. The restaurant of the hotel is also OK.

Comfortable room, unbeatable for the price. Location very good if you want nightlife nearby but not on top of you.

Mattress a little hard, nothing that would stop me from staying there again
