nice staff,clean room,great pool and beach,reasonably priced
Direct on front beach, nice price, away from the trouble and noise so you can relax on the beach in the shadow of the trees, restaurant is ok, personal is helpfull.
Basic accomodation, camping like, no activity for the kids.
Lady at desk very attentive, sorted out transfers and seemed to do a lot of the work by herself. Nice pool, only used once, as the beach is much better
A lot of the staff more interested in watching t.v. No interaction with staff
The dog they had in there. He was the only friendly face in there.
It's on the dead side of maaenam beach, staff are weird, the old lady would just come up to me and point at me while mumbling thai language. Food was possibly the worst I had during my stay in thailand. And last but not least, I was eaten alive by fire ants in my room.
Room : Dirty & Odor Facility : small TV/ fridgerator is broken./ Dirty armchair Staff : Poor/ Don't take care customer. No staff is stand by at counter when check out Location : near beach, but cannot swim
The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Fair value for money.
Not helpful staff, poor maintenance on the facilities and cleaning standards too low! I simply cannot recommend it!
clean resort and lovely beach. Relaxing.
had to higher a mo ped as to far to walk into the town. The staff were rude and unpleasant.
The only positive was the view.
Staff was fighting with a Russian and every one was watching at the pool, to far from everything, forget break fast, they have a menyu they show what you can order for breakfast, no Internet in the bangalo, afternoon almost impossible to surf outside with mosquitos big lik a birds.
The facilities are right on a sandy beach which is really nice and quiet.
The staff didnt show much interest and kindness towards guests.
Close to maenam and bang rak piers. Good place to rest and chill out. Nothing much to see though.
Had to walk to nearest beaches to get sunshine. Rent a motorbike to see other places, heavy traffic, not easy to go on foot.
It was close to the sea.
Arrived to find the beachfront bungalow we booked was not available. Had to upgrade to a family bungalow, though only charged an extra 500 baht per night for our 6yr old daughter. The place was dirty and unkempt. Uncomfortable, extremely hard beds. Mosquitos got in due to windows not fully closing. Bathroom floor had green algea growing in the concrete. Disused bed dumped infront of the bungalow, as well as a broken rowing boat, split sandbags and broken winch machinery. There was a lean to shelter alongside the dining room, very close to our bungalow, with old blue tarpaulins draped over it in which some of the staff slept and talked loudly during the day that doubled as a massage room. Very ugly to look at and, hygiene?? In the dining room was a variety of old plates and glasses, cracked and chipped, again, hygiene. The place was so bad we checked out early and went somewhere else. We still had to pay 50% of the room charge for the remaining nights. One strange thing, we left for the day, locking the front door. Came back, door unlocked, partially open, but room not serviced! Luckily nothing was missing. I cannot recommend this place.
Quiet and peaceful place to relax.
Creaky bed and view to the laundry .
Close to beach , far from local beer bars, needs a bar in the hotel rather than have to sit and drink In the eating area , not much a few quid and could be a chilling beach bar ,rather than a vacant restaurant area
Non thai staff -Myra's ? No hep take case in :out to taxi etc Needs free shuttle to main road every hour?
Lovely bungalow and nice, quiet beach. Friendly staff.
Except the food , all was very well .
The food is very bad ...
The small villa's make it feel like a nice resort. Local food from the restaurant was nice and cheap. Staff from the restaurant was nice, girls from the reception were unfriendly and arrogant.
Beach was not there because of the flood. Low number of beds also there. You think you book a resort at the beach but really the only place you can lay down is at the pool where there are 8 beds for all the resort. Location is poor, nothing there really. Wifi was not so good and only at the reception available. In the end it was way to much money for what we got.
The location was nice
The garden bungalow was old, dirty, bed was uncomfortable, they brought a mattress for the kid that was as thin as a sheet. The toilet was leaking and there was mold everywhere. The breakfast- the fruits had ants on them, and not something you can ignor. The lady in the reception treys to over charge 200 baht for a taxi ( the driver was her family). I wound not recommend any one to go there.
Staff was friendly and our bungalow was in a great location right by the sea and next to the pool. We ate a couple of times at the hotel restaurant and the food was good and well priced. Wifi at the hotel worked well.
The shower in the bathroom leaked and the hair dryer in the room was broken and looked like it was about to catch on fire.
The lady owner was very rude, unhelpful and dishonest and tried to overcharge us for the room as well as get of providing us with the included breakfast because we needed it early (7am). For these reasons I found our short stay unpleasant.
Location is perfect!! Rooms had english channels Staff were helpful
Although the place is clean, there are some areas that need improvement, the bar area next to the swimming pool has become a dumping ground, Food was NOT good and way overpriced for the portions
Horrendous restaurant - food was tasteless and overpriced. Breakfast was disgusting and I had to argue just to get a glass if water rare than juice with my breakfast. The rooms were unclean, very uncomfortable bed, and are in desperate need of renovation. There was a dead cockroach on the floor when we entered the room, it was cleaned up immediately, but I was shocked to see the amount of dirt swept from the floor when this happened. Along with a half empty bottle of water, this suggested the room had not been cleaned properly prior to us arriving. Reception would not book us a taxi, they insisted we use their taxi service which was extortionate in price.
Mae Nam beach is very silent and absolutely not crowded. If you're looking for relax is good. The villas have a central swimming pool for all the guests, facing to the seaside and some beds both near there and under the nearby trees
I booked a deluxe beachfront suite, paying more for the beach-view and the bigger size & comfort of the room. What they're effectively selling is (suite 901) an apartment facing to the corridor for the boats to go to the sea, with the shower tray green because of the musk growing in it and the "so advertised" bathtub that's only a cement tub, painted in white, but black because of the dirty For the same (or lower) price several accommodations can be found very easily. The place was average clean, not so bad but not so clean too. It was surprising seeing them sleeping or watching TV instead of working to clean and get a better place to offer The buffet breakfast was supposed to be included: what we were offered was a small table on which there were few bananas, some watermelon and pineapple. In addition to this 2 jugs containing "chemical" fruit juices and 2 small cans of jam. The hot buffet was the jug of the tea and the one of coffee. In addition to this, we were asked to choose one of 4 suggested dishes: eggs and bread, ham and bread, local rice soup, marmalade and bread. The dishes were very small, (only 2 slices of bread) and often not good at all. Water and additional bread were charged, if required. We spent there 3 nights, enough to enjoy the quiet beach, but already enough for that resort
The power was off twice, the plumbing went off once, no WiFi in room, no hot water. Rooms do not overlook pool.
Was not well maintained. Rooms very poor, not Nice to stay in. May be bungalow with see view better..? Pool was ok, but everywhere: not well maintained. Would not recommend it. Think you can Find better, even for this money.
