Score from 44 reviews Very good
I do not reccomend to stay this place, felt like old hospital, unfriendly staff, key deposit 500 baht. You can find cheaper and nicer places than this in Chiang Mai
cleaning staff were friendly
bad smell in the room poor security poor location overpriced slow internet
Good location and very close to the market, it is convenient
Staff very un-helpful, bad location as too far out of the centre so you have to walk 10-15 minutes just for a drink and food. The room had a serious damp problem and the air-con unit constantly dripped!! Stay away!!
location and wifi
The staff is cold
Cheap but safe and OK
I would pay more for a swimming pool, no option unfortunately
good price，good location.
staff is cold
Comfortable beds, good location.
No wi-fi in rooms, aesthetics
Plenty of trips on offer, staff helpful rooms are cleaned every day but shabby
Decor looking very sad now needs a new coat of paint, 10 minute walk from city walls
Very good matress
Wifi very weak
llocaltion great close to market and all good spot
New Mitrapap is a cold, run down hotel that has a design similar to a prison with two long hallways separated by a gap where you can see the lower levels. The rooms even have an indicator light above the door which light up when the guest is in their cell... I mean room. The staff were short tempered and, if given the choice, would far rather continue playing on their phones than help a customer. Keep your deposit receipt as they weren't going to give us back our 500b without it, even though it was clearly us checking out. The rooms are dated and are in dire need of some maintenance (the handle was falling out of our bathroom door, light bulbs burnt out, and paint was chipping off the wall) and some cleaning (I'm convinced the walls hadn't been wiped down since construction and dirt has built up next to the baseboard on the floor over the years). And yhe smell! When we walked in we were greeted with a waft thay smelled like a combination of sewage (which camr from the toilet) and a musty gym bag. All-in-all this place doesn't at all deliver what the flashy pictures promise. You best "walk the line" right on by this one!
Very close to china twon .. around 10 min working in mean rode .
I quite like the location. It's just 15 mins walk to the Tapae Gate, 10 mins walk to the Night Bazaar, 5 mins walk to the Chinatown market area.
The receptions staffs. Most of them don't understand English and one of them that looks like a fat transverstite is very rude. The shower is not warm enough and fitted at a poor spot and too low for the average men.
the towels were threadbare the basin in the bathroom was disconnected before i checked out of the hotel so when I washed my hands the water poured all over my feet. The hotel was in desperate need of a makeover
Wonderful staff, the cleanest hostel I have never been, you can use the kitchen, the ambient is great!
The only problem is the bathrooms. Although they are wonderfully big and clean, there are only two for quite 24 people and if you are in an urgent situation...
Good location within walking distance of the night bazaar.
Although bed sheets were clean they were discoloured through constant use. The bathroom had no ventilation and was black with mildew in one corner, the damp smell from the bathroom was bad and we had to keep the door closed to prevent the bedroom from smelling.
Very clean and comfortable room. Area was quiet. English sports channels. Free hot and cold drinking water.
No breakfast included, advertisement online is not accurate.
old furniture, unclean walls, tired hotel a little bit away from city centre
The room cost us 1000baht ，when we get in the room ，it is so dirty and old ，bathroom or we just can call it toilet has so bad smell ,really can not stand it .and we change another room ,it is more dirty and older ,have no thing can use in the room except one bottle of water .the bed also so dirty I don't konw why .IF you have any other choice ,you'd batter do not come the hotel ,really So bad
It's close to Night Bazar
The hotel is old and dirty. I was here in Loi Kratong, i hope it was the reason why THIS was for 1000 bat for night.
Bottled water in fridge
The hotel was grubby looking and tired, I have stayed in Chiang Mai earlier the same week at less than half the price but couldn't get in again due to a festival celebration so this was where I ended up. Dirty bathroom, dirty bedding and the pillowcases still had creases on them from the previous occupant. The housekeepers are obviously not up to scratch. As it was late when we arrived we just covered everything in towels the best we could and checked out in the morning. Definitely won't stay again and we have backpacked up and down Thailand so we have stayed in some very ropey accommodation.
