New World City Hotel    

Hotel je vhodný pro krátkodobé pobyty, oproti minulým letem se však zhoršili s jídlem(snídaně) a už tam je slyšet i ruština. V každém případě na cca 3 dny k přespání to stačí a poloha hotelu je luxusní.

Lovely hotel in the perfect location- far enough away from the busy areas so that you can get a good nights sleep, but also only a few minutes walk to khao san road, restaurants and lots of the tourist attractions. Right by the riverside, we had a room with a balcony and the view over the river was very peaceful. The room itself was basic decoration wise, but pretty clean and very spacious, with a large comfy, but firm bed. The hotel restaurant is right by the riverside- light and airy with great food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall the best hotel we've stayed in so far and would recommend it to anyone! :)

The bathroom could have been a little bit cleaner- also a little bit dark and cramped compared to the room itself. But this is our only little complaint!

5 minute walk to Khao San Rd area, easy to get around, and nice big rooms. Limited English from some of the staff, but still they tried to be very helpful :)

Minor problem with the electricity in our room, and was too difficult to explain to the staff on duty at the time, so we just learned to live with it. The lift is extremely slow.

Worth the price. Good location close to the famous tourist attractions, E.G. Grand Place, etc.

Service of the hotel staff is just so so. They even could not provide service to offer a city map. The facility of the room is old, and the air conditionier in the room was very noisy on the first night I stayed in the room. I requested to change room the other day and was told that no room was available but they can send a technician to fix it. They did it indeed. That's a good thing.

This was the second time I stayed at the hotel for a whole week. This time I had the balcony at the back side of the hotel facing a wall, without the beautiful view of the city and the canal as I had last time, but with much more privacy and without the sun shining the whole day. Very good for smokers. the nice restaurant by the canal has very good food and they even serve Norwegian salmon which tasted really good. Very nice and friendly staff and very clean. Location very close to Khao San road and the tourist area. Tours, visas and tickets can be purchased at the travel agency at the hotel very easy and efficient.

i didnt like how i have to pay for the water and chocolate they kept for me in the refridgerator and also pay extra for breakfast,because it was included when i was booking the hotel for 11days and thats why i have to check after 9days.but was ok

Clean, confortable and very good location, close enough to Kaoh San Road but far enough to be disturbed by the noise at night. 7 eleven is just downstairs and for 300 baths you can use the pool if you fancy.

room 314 above airconditioning compressor, thats while a lot of noice and I saw a big cockroach in the room.

First of all I chose the hotel because of the perfect location in Banglumpu, very close to the mein tourist-area, and with a very nice balcony overlooking the city and the canal close by. They also had a very nice restaurant by the canal, and the food was very good. Cleaning staff very nice and flexible, and even cleaning the room in the afternoon, when I was sleeping the whole day after a night out in town. The other staff were also very nice and polite. They also have a travel Agency where one can book tickets and excursions at the hotel.

Location for KhaoSan. Clean hotel, clean rooms. Information point for tourists.

The foul smell at the entrance is overpowering even by Bangkok standards. The in house laundry charge by the item rather than by the kilo.

Third time we stayed at this hotel. Ideally situated for the Ko San Road.

It is quite in the centre of the city, making it perfect for day walks. Some of the best streets to have lunch/dinner or go into a pub are just around the corner. The employes are friendly and do try to help you on your daily issues. The rooms are big and confortable, though a bit old. I think it was great for this budget.

Location

I requested a particular room six weeks prior to my arrival, and yet was given one at the other end of the hotel , where the noise from the air conditioning system made it impossible to sleep. Turning the ac did not help as the noise came from outside the window. In the end what really maters is a good night's sleep. Who cares for the good location if you cannot sleep!
