There is no space to put my clothes in the bathroom.
avoid staying in room no. X01, X02 because they are so cloes to the lift.
Clean room. A decent place to stay if you want to be close to Nimmanhemin rd.
The room is not as nicely decorated as in the pictures. And you can hear the noise from the hallway very clearly. There are ants in the room so don't leave food on the table. The bathroom door can't be locked. The location is 5 mins walk off the main road.
Staff were friendly. Rooms were great. Breakfast was good. Good Location. Affordable prices.
Decent hotels, but surely there are much nicer ones for similar money. Staff was ok, but english skills were not so good. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was ok.
We found the hotel not so clean and more like a "wannabe" design hotel. Beds were super comfortable, but there were stains on the bed linen...
- good location for the varieties of good coffee shop in town - great location for night life - convenience
- WIFI was extremely slow
front staffs were very kind to offer the information of optional tour. good location for night life.
designer hotel really nice bed good wifi, relatively new facilities breakfast was great
The shower pipe was a little too short for me to bath standing up. Space of the hotel is relatively small for a hotel in Chiangmai Sound of airplane at night
-Really expensive (double than international hotels in Chiang Mai city center) -No facilities (no swimming pool, no business centre) -Difficult to find tuk-tuk, transportations to city centre - Shower not available
Location and comfy bed
Breakfast and small lobby
I stayed at silk cocoon style room, it's so great design
The staff are service minded esp receptionists
just that we have to walk in to mud-dark alley
Excellent service from reception Good location
-good location -new and clean room -extra bed is valued for money 800 thb. -nice breakfast
-car park is outside ;alongside of the hotel building which is not enough and unsafe.
The hotel is very clean and provides excellent service. It is well suited for the traveller without children. There are a large number of facilities close buy and it is only a short trip by Baht Bus or Tuk- Tuk to the centre of Chiang Mai and the night bazaar. Breakfast is very good and plentiful and the staff will try to meet your every request. I would recommend this hotel to anyone doing business at or near the university.
The shower did not get very hot.
1. The design of the hotel. 2. The hotel location
1. Very noisy when customers walking by or talking. 2. Breakfast very limited choice and boiled eggs not even hot at all. Bad food.
Nimman Mai Design Hotel certainly lives up to it's title - the design in the hotel was lovely! Each floor represents a historic empire along the 'Silk Road'. The breakfast area (free breakfast included with eggs made in front of you to suit any requirements) was also a lovely design and the downstairs reception inviting, clean and included iPads for free use. Wifi was great throughout the hotel. The rooms are sizeable with some of the best beds (large and slightly less hard than most SE Asian mattresses) we came across on our travels. We stayed in two different rooms - one with an ensuite shower and one with a stand alone bath and small balcony with a view of the lush green hills of Chiang Mai. The Nimman district itself is young, busy and great fun. There are a lot of university students from CM uni hanging around, and bars and restuarants with live music. There is also the largest shopping mall in Chiang Mai, 'Maya' which is great if you want a change from the markets. You can get a red bus for 30 THB into the centre or Old town in about 15 mins. The staff at nimman were FANTASTIC! They helped us make phone calls, book buses, taxis etc. They had fantastic personalities and were also interested in our culture and backgrounds, which was very sweet! We'll certainly be back in the future!!
The stand alone bath didn't have a seperate hook for the shower which was sometimes a bit awkward! Additionally, tea and coffee at breakfast wasn't the best (we're coffee enthusiasts!), but there is a FANTASTIC coffee shop around the corner! The lift could sometimes be unreliable - but this was a very minor nuisance!
Location Ok for a night stay sadly we stayed 3 nights
Really not worth the money Definitely not a 4* Staff couldn't be bothered Not very clean
Excellent service from front desk and housekeeping.
Initial attempt for internet service was not available
lovely sized rooms and nicely decorated Bathrooms a little small but great shower Charming little hotel and in great location
not much in way of facilities but then is a small hotel staff struggle with English
Staff were inattentive, and the facilities were at best, a hostel. The breakfast was atrocious, and the the rooms very small
